I think the only thing would be for SE to announce "these people were banned for modifying their game to run within a window." Since they can't detect the plain window unless they scan your computer, it's ridiculously hard to believe that people who get banned only used the windower.

400+4400+100+2800 is 7700 accounts

7450 perma banned + 250 temp banned = 7700.. so their numbers do add up.

As for "temporarily suspended indefinitely", that just means the people who were temporarily banned don't have a difinite time of when their suspension is over (unlike if they say you have a 72-hour ban).

I don't think they really COULD ban exclusively for windower. To do it properly (assuming they had a way to detect it, which they don't), they would have to ban across the board. There's obviously no way to know hard numbers, but I feel reasonably confident to say at least half of the people who play FFXI use windower. That's a lot of lost revenue. Banning people stupid enough to admit they are using it could happen though, I suppose. Oh, along those lines here's a ProTip for you if you use Windower: don't EVER say mob's exact hp % in /p chat or elsewhere because that's a pretty obvious tipoff you're using it, lol.

I'm not going to accuse you of cheating, since SE already has. What I will say is normally when some one is cheating and is banned/suspended by SE, they will post here much like you did and say they were innocent. Coincidence perhaps, but usually cheaters wont admit to cheating even when they are caught.

I don't know if you cheated, I don't care if you cheated but don't be surprised that people won't believe you when you proclaim your innocence. When so many people use Windower only, and they have never been banned/suspended, it seems unusual to hear other people say they were banned/suspended for doing the same thing.

IF some of you truly were banned/suspended for only using windower, the majority of people who only use windower will only believe you AFTER it happens to them.

while most people who say it was due windower, really do hack, Windower DOES increase movement speed and can look like your using fleetool, its been proven many times and i even got a GM to outright say it. so being banned from using windower isnt that far fetched either. A good friend of mine who really did use just windower, no plug ins. was caught up in one of the ban sweeps, and im 100% certain he used nothing but windower.
Its coming and changing and becoming more strict as i suspected. just waiting till they release what those special fix patches were and change their ToS.

the special obtained items were most likley 80% assault hackers, and 20% packet injectors....but 20% might be too much since thats not a widely used hack.

because of their ToS they cannot just say WINDOWER, until they change that to saying they can detect it by their means, they will never say windower specifically and dont have to.
As stated before, windower increases movement speed, it may not be constant but it does in bursts. might as well be flee tooling.

It also bears mentioning that if you're on a lolcampusinternet connection (you know, where there's this way too narrow bandwidth being sucked up by an entire university student population downloading, uploading, torrenting, and streaming porn, movies, music, and what have you), as far as anyone else is concerned it looks like you're teleporting around. When as far as you yourself are concerned, you're just running around quite normally (albeit with nasty lag).

Know a few people who've gotten suspensions for that under assumed warp hacking.

And no, you don't have subjobs, but you *could* use a Hermes Quencher I suppose. (You're not capped to 70 either, so he's really easy to beat at 75, especially once you get some good solo gear.)
