Hey Stig, good to see you're still around. I love that pic, that was just before the Kirin fight for anyone who was wondering. All you guys were missing was a galka ; ;. yeah, your list covered it. of them the following no longer play:

alteredstate
neptunian
rashyyyk
strid

Alt deleted his ebow with his account, he always swore hed never ever sell the thing. rash i'm pretty sure sold his account. And strid.....had some weirdness, but i hear finally called it quits. Your list stig is The definitive "rangers who know their shit" list. refer all questions and inquiries to those named therein.

I always knew about Neptunian but the wierd thing is, as much as I played I never heard anything about him or ever remember seeing him except for on the AH on all the items I went to buy lol... it woulda been nice to get to know another old school ranger... I know I learned a lot by communicating with my fellow rangers and respecting them equally (yes even Anaeran).

Players,armor and subjobs :-
Ok i dunno why, but day by day i'm finding out that most ppl who play ffxi have mental and emotional problems or most of them are perfectionalists or w/e.First of all u guys make crazy ideas spread them and then u arent willing to accept anything else.Like lets say u have in mind that the best is rng and blm u still should consider that other jobs are equally balanced also, and do a good job in different setups.(Btw i hear this new stuff about not inviting wars sams dragoon and others) .K lets say u get 10k exp an hour still whats gonna happen in the end?.You'll get to 75 abit faster or something. In the past two weeks two of my friends left game cuz they couldnt get party this is totally insane.Like most whms have this in their comment [ veteran].Wtf u mean by veteran.I mean i hate that guy with that on his comment. One day he was new too what about then and now he leveled a whm or something to level 75 and he wants veterans for some reason i dont understand.THis game is goin no where but downhill.Everyday the stat requirements are increasing along with the price of items.Just look at the price of emperor hairpin its freakin 670k and this guy said to me "Hey if i was u i wont tank without a emp hairpin" and i was like wtf .I think either a handful of ppl who have nothing to do but makin their wives work for them while they farm ,or Gil sellers are encouraging this trend of [the best stats] [ best armor] [ and 100s of hrs spent into game].i mean my friend is a level 52 for two weeks and this sunday hes quitting game if he cant get level 54 by sunday (he waits hours and hours waiting for party and he has nice armor too and monk and nin subjob. Then i dont see tailorfw online for a while maybe he quit or something and that guy helped me and others for hrs and hrs and got almost nothing back.He was helping some friend get rdm AF and another whm started yelling at him cuz he was 56 and didnt have raise 2. (He wasnt partying those days). We were about to try farming some mobs together but he hasnt logged in two weeks.

Mages:-
FFXI gave whms the ability to raise and BLMs the ability to warp.but unfortunately a large number of players just walk over corpses or refuse to warp at all.Like if u spend half a minute and 100 mp on a guy to warp him back to jeuno how much would it hurt you? it wont obviously take you 30 to 50 mins. And not raising someone just because he was in ur camp is pointless also cuz i'm sure that guy is gonna come back and camp their again or try to take revenge some other day.Hence more garbage.
Gil:-
So what i mean to say is day by day this game is becoming [incred - tough] for college students who need to study for their future, ppl who work long hrs and students like me.Also people in Ffxi are greedy as hell for something that doesnt even matter much.I mean Nm drops are suppose to be rare and ppl are campin em like fck and are botting them.People are so crazy that they buy gil online with real money and encourage the gil selling (Shame on you dude).
Other games ;-
I play WoW along and i was so damn impressed by that game.People actually help each other out.I entered this new guild and i asked questions and no one called be [ noob - this word doesnt make any sense].
my guild leader welcomed me and gave me tips about how to level in different areas and also came on his mount while he was passing through and gave me 4 bags and dagger that i couldnt afford at that moment.I leveled skinning fast and soon i got requests for leather and and armor and i happily made armor for them and we kinda helped each other out.No need for uber gear but u must have ur level gear and try to borrow/loan from a fellow player.Alliances went and tried out monsters and if someone died they didnt whine like their whole life was turned upside down.Their might be some cheaters but atleast they dont effect the community or players or the auction house.WoW is not a better game or anything its almost the same but the community in their is alot better and caring/sharing as compared to ffxi players.LoL i never cried in two years and i was playing ffxi and i had tears in my eyes.... now thats freaky isnt it....whats goin on in here.I think maybe ppl got used to this behavior after playing with japenese who had language barrier .Sorry for typing this much and i hope u can understand my point and make sense of it.Games are suppose to be fun especially online ones where u try to beat monsters together instead of feasting on each other and making fun of each other's armor.

[thanks for the offer but i'll have to pass] should be removed from tabs ^^

Thanks for reading but plz think about it also.Excuse me for the spelling something wrong and grammar mistakes. :)[/u]

That's it...

You all can party with the good Rdm's that sub nin or war, melee and never refresh, and have uber gear.

I suck at farming - dunno why - not for lack of effort...crafting skills are still at the point that, try as I might, I can't find a profitible way to lvl em..

Soooooooo....

I think I'll just run around and look cute until I get tired of the game. I just can't bring myself to lvl with my sad sad gear.

I feel like such a loser.

/sigh

you waste money to get to a high enough craft lvl, pick a simple yet often bought product and get high enough so that you can hq it more than enough to return a profit... farm the materials.... and do other things for money to support your craft which in turn will give you back what you lost... not in full. but most :)

Agreed. I wasn't saying you can't make a profit crafting (hell 90% of my gear comes from crafting) just saying there is no way to turn a profit while skilling up to a decent level. Only even if you farm your own materials, and even then a lot of times you make less than if you just sold the materials.

And that sir is where you fail... ^^ There is ALWAYS a way to make the act of your craft pay for itself. It may not be the fastest way but it is doable. Somehow, someway I gaurantee there is something that can be done that will make you gil. Even if it involves camping the guild for materials, buying other materials listed at the guild and selling em on AH. The real trick is to outsmart your competition and know the markets. Except in goldsmithing, wehre you are basicaly shitfucked until you hitt 88 and have all 3 your guild items. At which point you need mules for your gil.

Dire, you should know, I dont fail...

I know man am messing with ya. But seriusly crafting is a game of inteligence, it does not require lightning fast reflexes, it requires you to be observant and due research. Also you need to be prepared to gamble and to invest your gil. I think almost ALL crafts have some sort of profitable recipie that can be done at 20 or lower. Getting to 20 craft is not hard at all. So many people buy gil and dive head first into their craft having no idea whatsoever on wtf they are doing. All they know is that being a high lvl means you make gil... Sure it does chief sure it does.

Clothcrafting @ 53. Please point out a way to make skillup stuff that'd actually profit, because I don't see one. =P

Silk Road = teh suk

I just dinged 71 last night in CC so im done with all that silk bullshit currently skilling up on on Battle Bracers. I even HQ'ed 2 of them last night to make a bit back ^^

Im getting close to Rainbow thread which is where the real fun starts uggh

Heh the real trick is to make your own cloths and sell anything at the guild you find. Cotton threads work wonders. But yea you will have to pay the butchers bill there. However I usualy tried to make 2 stacks of silk cloth, use one for ribbions sold the other. Time consuming yes but ribbions hurt no way you look at it. There is no excuse to say, "I lack te gil to start crafting" Generely 50+ you will have to synth other things to make gil to pay for it. The point is that the craft pays for itself and then some. IE I make Shinobi-tabi as my main source of income. I carefuly watch the markets, buying in large amount of base products when they are cheap and selling the tabi on the AH. I know for a fact that the price I list them at would drive somebody who is not as careful as I am (Or HQs like I do) under in a very short amount of time. 53-64 where the worst for me as well. 64-72 used to be great then asshats made it terribale and I have returned it to a break even/profit point. A terribale pity I can not get back on and get past this recipie fully but I have a variety of circumstances that hinder that.

...Every class has an uncountable amount of people who make them look bad...

Yeah but the problem is, you'll never get Vang to acknowledge this.
He's blinded by his own angry rages.

Didn't go the road of battle bracers. I hear Rainbow cloth are not fun at all though. Mainly cause it is a common BCNM drop or something like that. No one is quite sure WHY the cloth is worth jack shit.

Vang has a really good point.

I hate people who are money grubbers in this game. If you choose to play RNG play it to the fucking fullest please. Dont jew money because you dont know how to make it.

all right more Vang-ass-licking (sarcasm) don't egg him on.
...yeah...got a point, but ONCE AGAIN vang's being an asshole about it.
I had a rng "borrow" arrows off of me. I was desperate to keep the party
going so i "lent" them to him. ....even though that sucked...

...so here is a salute to that gimped ranger "Reddogneo"
I don't know if he's a nice guy or not; bad player or not....that just sucked
If reddogneo reads this... HEY! you owe me a stack of arrows.

Expensive investment is all i know

I have a plan once I get to 75ish. ^^ It might be some of the slowest lvling ever (Pretty sure my materials will be a bitch to come by) but its a plan. I love my plans cause they usualy work well. Any luck I can avoid much of the rainbow trail.
