RANT at the good old U.S of A

All the 9/11 shit is retarded. IF YOU DIDNT HAVE GUNS PLANES WOULDN'T FLY INTO YOUR BUILDINGS HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Yes, because England is so much better, what with its far more regular subway bombings.

I didn't see anyone claiming the terrorist attacks were related to the availability of guns.

9/11 is the reason for Afghanistan and Iraq though...

That'd be almost nowhere. America has the most social problems of a first world country, Other than France.

Also, the GTFO or like it argument is rather stupid.
Yeah, we do have a lot of problems here. But it's not as if other countries have none. Sure, we do have more than we should, and hey, that does kinda suck. But America isn't some horrible land filled (only) with scoundrels and devils and say...England for example, isn't a magical happy land filled with honest politicians and pixies.

I don't believe I said either learn to like it or get out. I don't expect anyone to love everything about the US, that'd be ridiculous. It is perfectly fine not to like some things about where you live and I don't blame anyone for that. But the OP was rambling on about how he hates it and so bad, so why doesn't he get up and do something about it? If it really is oh so terrible, why not step up and try to change things? Sitting around at home bitching and moaning isn't going to do a god damned thing.

Ok im going to take over Caerloc's position as the ass of this thread because i honestly i have some fairly skewed views on the government, second amendment, gun control and 9/11.

First of all i am a complete believer in the second amendment because we should be able to protect ourselves from invasion or our own government however i do believe that some gun control should exist. Personally i believe that people should have access to whatever guns are available except handguns or other weapons that can be easily concealed. The reason for this is that crimes are often those of opportunity and if you are able to carry that weapon with you where ever you go without anyone else knowing it is there your opportunity to commit a crime vastly increases. Assault weapons on the other hand i believe are necessary to protect yourself because you gotta believe it the an invasion is coming through your front door a single hunting rifle is not going to help too much and neither is a handgun.

As for 9/11 i honestly do believe that it was something that was if not done by our government, atleast purposefully ignored by our government, because it just worked out too perfectly. (and atleast 6/19 of the alleged hijackers that died in the attacks have been confirmed to be currently alive including one whose passport was found 100% unharmed in the rubble of the wtc.. explain that one) As for the pentagon i dont know anyone who still really believes that a plane went into that building.

As for our current government i think that we are definately working towards tyranny if we are not there already with the patriot act and all the other stupid legislation that has passed recently. I think that our government is being controlled by a combination of zionists and private bankers but unlike most i am doing my best to change that by actively working on ron pauls campaign to try and get someone who is not a member of the Council of Foriegn Relations into office and hopefully someone who is against creating a North American Union and fully killing the american dollar.

you should come to saudi

no one can carry guns and you get beheaded if you are found gulty in murder case :P

Yeah, but then you've gotta put up with the whole people thinking TVs work by magic thing.

If you don't like it, you can get out.

lets see, invasion killing millions vs. isolated airplane attack that killed less than 3000.

Yeah, that's much better.

Are you sure about that? Whats the tally in iraq so far?

That's their problem, if they don't have a plan for such an event where their government takes a turn for the worse, they are screwed.

Maybe we should all build bombshelters to live in, incase they nuke us all?

And the fact that weaponry had next to zero involvement in those attacks. Did they even have makeshift blades? I don't even remember...

Because power corrupts. Perhaps a lot of other countries should have similar countermeasures in place. Governments on a whole are not trustworthy. They're put in place to look out for the good of all citizens, but human nature twists them to be used for politicians' own ends. Until we have a perfect government and society as a whole becomes well educated, more aware, and less apathetic toward what is going on, humanity needs a back door if things go bad.

Isnt russia pretty liberal with their weapon-politics? Doesnt seem to me like its helping much with their government

bush found a way... dont you see it... or do you want to be detained

How is Iraq related to 9/11?

If you dont know that, then i dont know what to tell you. But that wasnt what i was getting at. You said an invasion would cost millions of lives. America INVADING iraq would be an invasion, would it not? Is the Tally in iraq up to millions of lives?

And on another note, i find it pretty funny that you think that people arent invading america because you all have handguns under your pillows. It probably has nothing at all to do with the fact that Americas defense budget is equal to that of the 10 other larger countries in the world.

I find it equally funny that you think your handguns are gonna defend you against a corrupt government with this same budget. A government with access to Nuclear weapons, aircrafts, tanks and so on and so forth. But yeah, im sure its your handguns that keeps them in line. Just as it is your handguns that keeps the rest of the world in line.

Did you really just mention nukes. So to conquer the country, the ONE THEY LIVE IN, they are going to completely devastate it, so then can rule over the ash. Yeah, good luck with that.

So lets say the government wants to convert to a military state, or they want to round up (x group) of citezens and send them to be gassed. Since we have guns we can revolt against injustices like that. Or things like taxation without representation and forced religion.

We are allowed to have guns because this country was formed based on a revolution that couldn't have taken place without them. I'm with skaw on the whole idea of harsher penalties for violent crimes commited with firearms, but I would probably go one step further and add unlawful possesion of a firearm to that list of crimes that need harsher punishments.

And to add to Skaw and Trippy's point if we had a Justice system that actually enforced harsher sentencing and an Executive branch that actually enforced the laws then a lot things would improve.

Honestly with current foreign and economic policies it seems as if the government is actively trying to handicap the United States to sway the common citizen away from US sovereignty and towards the creation of the North American Union.

I'm going to have to agree with mara's (lolcanadian ;))views on the GTFO policy some people have. Some of you might have never been out of the country, it's not like you can just walk out and have a jolly time. [Maybe in some areas but a good chunk of them isn't that easy] Some people are underage, homeless, or some sort of other factor that makes it hard to leave the U.S.
