RDM category 2 merits

Problem with Blizzard III in a solo situation is the cast time. More often then not you wont be able to reliably stop and cast Blizzard III. Now and then, sure, but reliably? No. And if you are actually soloing something worthwhile, there is bound to be resists, and thats when your mp-efficency calculations go out the window.

If you can bind a mob, you can easilly find time to Blizzard III, your logic is flawed.

Please, do tell me, what is these 'worthwhile' solos you're talking about?

I know you are one of those guys who likes to pretend that your perfect, your spells never resists and you never die. Which is kinda funny to me, since i never actually seen or heard about you or your shell doing anything. Now this is a solo thread, so i guess that doesnt really mean anything, other then the fact that your gear probably isnt as top of the line as you would like to think, which in turn would mean that you dont actually perform as flawless as you want to come of as.

But me, im more realistic. I know that with even the most flawless of gearchoice and skill, this game posses a randomfactor. I also know that the most you can get your accuracy of ANYTHING is 95%. Which means that in a long fight (most rdm solo fights are), your gonna get burned several times if you rely fully on a spell like bind. (even assuming you would get a 95% accuracy rate, which you wont) This is not including mobs that actually are immune to bind)

And with mobs worth while i mean any of the trigger mobs in sky, the actual gods, any of the Aern NM's in sea and other mobs of that magnitude.

I don't recall ever calling myself perfect, and I've done plenty of soloing around, to justify my .. let's say theories, or calculations.

And yes, I know the 95% accuracy part, but it hardly ever kicks in, and there's more to Bio III than just damage, it has to be cast a lot more, which raises the possibility off Bind being on the mob (i.e can't be cast).

I've done most triggers in Sky, and yes, it can be hard to find time for a Blizzard III for Zip, but it's definitely doable with a good Bind setup.
Besides, we're talking one every 10 minutes, which is what extra MP you'd use on Bio III, if my calculations are correct. I was landing far more than 50% unresisted nukes on Zipacna, which is enough to justify not using Bio III.

Of course it wouldn't work on stuff like Olla Grande/Steam Cleaner, since they have a certain level of magic resistance/MDB, but I even said that earlier, so I won't even go into that.

Gods.. lol, I mentioned those too. Gods won't be worth nuking, and I already mentioned that Bio III would be better on Genbu/Seiryu, since you won't be able to land consistant nukes whatsoever.

It's funny that you think you know shit about me though, and that you mention the fact that you 'haven't heard of me'. You're basically saying that people can't have an opinion on stuff, unless they're in some fancy Linkshell, and goes around bragging about the stuff they've soloed.

Edit: Apparently I skipped your part about Bind, so;

You WILL have to rely on Bind in a solo situation, unless you're straight up tanking it.
Saying you can't rely on Bind cause of the 95% accuracy on stuff, is just plain retarded, since that's what you have Gravity for.

You saying this, makes me wonder if you've actually soloed anything.

You'll be able to land nukes consistently on stuff like Ungur/Bune/Gration/VV/LoO/Cactrot Rapido(Duo, you don't want to nuke it solo)/Ancient Goobbue/Despot/etc.

Bio III just really isn't worth it. It's too much trouble for too little gain, if you even gain anything.

You should try nuking Sea Jailers, they almost don't resist rdm's nukes.

Neither do Sky triggers, that aren't resistant to nukes.

Gods is obvious, I don't even know why he brought that up.

RDM don't actually resist nukes on that much stuff that we can solo, believe it or not.

Well, thanks for the lengthy discourse on the RDM solo crap that I stated I didn't care about. Now is there any possibility I can get the same sort of discussion on Paralyze II, since it's one of the spells I actually asked about?

Cap it, or don't bother at all, is the general assumption.

It's just really random, but if you have no use for Phalanx II(Dynamis/Salvage), then I'd say do Slow II and Paralyze II 3/3, and stack as much MND as you can, as long as you land it.

Paralyze II can be really awesome, if you optimize it, but it can also really suck at times.

Paralyze II

pro = better effect than paralyze I (with the same gear), ice based spell so good if you merited ice
con = seems to be less accurate than paralyze I, but more merits add magic accuracy to it
Systematically shorter duration then slowII, 1:30 or less

For example on omega/ultima/dyna-xarcaprd NMs you have like 50% accuracy with 300 skill (eyeballing).

I find it very uselfull on Limbus bosses/NMs, salvage bosses, dynamis-xarcapard NMs. Useless in merit and normal salvage/dynamis/limbus mobs as they die very quick.
