Now, i'm far from being an elitist, and i hardly ever check anyone, or complain, but what has the world come to? I'm posting it here cause it's a flame per-se, but i'm really laughing about it. Seriously.

Being gimp's okay, it happens every day... But they need to make up a whole different word to describe this.

You should've just left. You're a tank, you can probably get another party relatively easy. That guys gear is inexcusable, he should just quit and delete his account now.

There are like no parties those levels because of lack of tanks. So it would be no problem for him to get a party.
 
Necro... stop your random cannon party fanatasism. Cannons dont start till the 70s with some exceptions allowed for a small minority of all parties before the 70s.
Before then if it's a tank people will take it considering it's either a tank that does perfectly fine vs the IT you will be fighting vs no exp at all.

My brd just left a party that woulda been perfectly fine except for one major flaw. A Blm was in it vs lesser colibri. Now since I feel sorry for blm and thier lack of invites I let that kinda thing slide but this guy had on ice staff as his only ele staff, af(only one peice of it was good for nuking/partying), the jse body for dark spirit perp cost ect ect.
Figured the body peice was a joke and the af was for show when in town. I was sorely dissapointed when I went to camp.
Btw. what's average blm damage on tier 2 and tier 3 magic? This bastard barely broke 200-250 on tier 3 spells if he did at all.
When I asked him about his ele staffs he said he didnt care eventually after I pointed out theyre cheap as hell.
He then tried to give my brd an ultimatum about if I dont like it I can get him booted or I can leave. You can tell what happened next after I tried to explain the situation to the party leader.

I wonder if the guy the OP mentioned is what made me snap and post that flame about peope wearing shit for gear a while back? I had a thf that had practically nothing good on for his thf incuding free questable or conquest items and despite this I found out to my shock he owned a pCC. This blew my mind so much I forgot to take names.
 
It's not a pcc, it's a Beak Necklace. He was soloing in Behemoth's Dominion when I xped there earlier, horribly might I add. Edit: The belt's an nq Swordbelt. The earrings were Black Earrings or whatever I believe, not Bat Earrings. The feet were some lvl 10 junkers, forgot which. Still pimping out no hand equip.

They can start as low as the 40's. They're much more common in the mid 50's.
 
Are you kidding me, he went from gimp to pimp with that neck armor i mean +20 MP! and +1 MP HEALING! and to top it off, DEF +4 OMG FUCKIN LEET! You guys don't even know dudes.

Main heal....that's all he had to.


And use Stoneskin occasionally for the NIN tank (we were int KRT EXPing Bats and Scorps).

Needless to say he would buff let his avatars melee till his MP was about gone and finally use an attack.

Saying such things as: My avatars need TP to hit for more...

I'm not one to complain about ppl learning the job but at lvl 50+ you should have a working idea of how to do it. Me being a SMN myself I sent him tells asking him to main heal and use Earthen Ward cause my BRD MP isnt mean to main heal only back up heal

After he wouldnt listen to what we all were asking of him. We kicked him out and got a WHM.

To Dejan: The moment you saw him you should have just kicked him out or at least tell him to put on some better gear if that was supposed to be a joke. But apparently he's dead set on wearing that.

I began running an XP static for my PUP since lord knows there's no other way it'll get XP without intense soloing, long waiting, or bugging people not LFP.

We're hard up for a healer, and I figure ok, SMN isn't our best choice, but just as NIN can pseudo tank and do well with it, so can SMN to main healing...

Anyway pt 52-53ish, we pop into KRT and buff and begin xping.

This guy buffs with Garuda's Aerial Armor and Titan's Earthen thinggum and we get a goin'.

Much to the surprise of Davion, Moon, Stevedizzle, our other member and myself, this guy left Titan out and began to melee. Occasionally Cure II spamming, leaving our Bard Davion to fend for us as far as staying alive went.

Eventually we confront him about it and we get the usual "I don't do..."-crap. I tell him it's not working after the first wipe and just remove him and find a BLU and ask him to go /WHM which worked out awesome. O_o

Needless to say, the problem was resolved, but it's not just his Blue Mage that Dejan showed us that can use work.

S'his SMN too. >.> (Perhaps w/e else he plays, yes?)

I'm not elitist by far, I know what it's like to struggle without the best gear for my level and still truck on, but this guy just had a pisspoor attitude and even worse play style.

After most of our group gave him some pointers or advice to improve playstyle which he just shrugged off, and let us just burn after Davion(BRD) burnt his MP.

I hate that attitude he had...

I think that was the worst part, watching him shrug off the advice of 5 other fairly decent or better players, all rank 6-10 with some time in-game and he just insisted on doing what he was which added to downtime and eventually wiped half+ the party.

Ugh, just another worthless 2 cents in the pile but bah.

...knew I'd see some small sort of flame about him sooner or later and thought I'd share.
