The patch was interesting haha. The warrior reset was warranted though. Im hurrying up to get to 50, I took a week off the game to focus on my Navy studying and im 10 levels behind. I wanna do the new huge world content!

God I love this game..

And from what I can tell there's really no hurry to get to 50 for World Events. They are all over and all levels can participate. I'm not in a huge hurry to level up, I'm just wanting to play with my friends when they are playing.. but that does make it hard to do dungeons.

Oh yeah, Mages got a reset too. I logged on my Mage today and had to redo everything. I wonder what they fixed and/or removed. I wish they hadn't removed the dye vendor from Meridian. :/ I wonder what the reason for that was.

Ok I broke down and bought this last night. Doing the last patch now. Going to play a Bard. What server are the majority of you guys on and is it still populated?

I think just about every server is populated. I dunno about everyone else, but I'm playing on Hammerlord with some of my RL friends.

Been playing my Mage a lot lately, it's now my highest level character at 23.

One thing I recently discovered: If you don't put any points into say, that 3rd soul you acquire (or any soul), you can change it out with any of the souls you've obtained for free at any time. (by doing the soul recovery quests in Meridian, as a Defiant. As a Guardian I am sure you can do the same thing in the first major city you encounter).

This can be done as many times as you like until you put points into that soul, then it's locked in place.

My Mage is Warlock/Pyromancer/Stormcaller and I'm hard-pressed to really focus on putting any points into a third soul. Warlock/Pyro have all my points and I'm enjoying the combination a lot. The only thing keeping me with Stormcaller is Electrocute because of its ability to push mobs back and do DoT.

Advise to all the rookies starting this up: be versatile. Don't lock yourself in as "bard" or "ranger". Groups - if they are halfway decent- will expect you to be able to play whatever role is needed. Raiding requires this kind of flexibility.

This is definitely the all around best "new gen" game to hit the market since world of warcraft and eq2 I think. RIP Vanguard.

It's not like roles are expensive.

Also Bards got a massive nerf. While well deserved, it's kind of crippled the desire of groups to have them when they can get a chloromancer for off-heals.

Um.. I don't know if there is any one server that a lot of qcdn'ers are on. I'm on Hammerlord a PvE server (not PvE RP). With a small group of my RL friends, we have a small guild going. At most right now, we have enough that sometimes we can do a guild party through an instance. Mostly night/late night players, with a few dudes who may play earlier at times. We're still rank 1, but semi close to rank 2.

If you joined my server I'd happily invite you to the guild and anyone else that wanted to come over. The guys I play with are fairly versed in mmorpgs and are pretty competent.. well, most all of them are competent. We don't have a vent server that we're using or anything like that that I know of. If anything we're all still getting used to the game and enjoying it.

I rolled a female Bahmi on Carrion I just hit the main town tonight. I'm 50 gold short of buying a horsey

The $10 digital upgrade, while I haven't gotten it yet, is incredibly worth it or so I've been told by my friends. The bigger starting bag and free mount help a lot and it saves you 2 plat and 50 gold, which is quite a lot by the time you first get to Meridian. Though it's not that much of an expense later, if you take up crafting you can make a fair amount back just by leveling the craft and selling what leftover items you create (if they sell, but even so it's still a fair profit).

They have horses near the Kelari refuge and in Meridian there are giant gazelle looking creatures and.. if you want a two headed giant turtle there's the $10 digital upgrade.

You'd have to sell them fairly cheap because 8 slots from vendors are fairly cheap.

I know I can't be the only one who loves how the dye system works in this game and that dyes are so easy to locate and relatively inexpensive. It's awesome.

Also.. if anyone's figured out how to clear the UI for a clear screenshot I would love to know how. I tried fiddling with all the F-keys and got nothing.

Had my first kick ass epic world event last night. We had like 13 death rifts all open in the lvl 1-20 area. It was great! We had a bunch of full raid group running around the map fighting off the invasion while other raids went around closing up the rifts themselves. I really like that even the PvE areas feel alive with the random world events that happen. It makes it almost impossible to continue doing the quest you are currently on and not help.

Just wait til Phase 2 of this World Event starts.. I'm sure it'll be chaos. ..Considering it was suppose to have started on the 9th and was, I guess, a little buggy.

The World Event crystal item thingies we get for doing the rifts/quests/etc... where do I locate the vendors (defiant side) to turn them in, and will the vendors go away once the event ends?
