Rip, Rig, Render

Not sure if those dat files are what they say they are, because people were having problems, 'cause people were complaining, so I just uploaded what I had.

http://files.filefront.com/Nobles+Stuffzip/;10030639;/fileinfo.html

I've successfully pieced together Bluefrost in model viewer with the pants and all. I just need to know what kind of shield your sporting.

As for the Noble gear file. The more correct of the 2 links only includes the body for Mithra, Hume Female, and Elvaan Female. In other words there are no pants for that set enclosed in the download.

I'll also need a pose for Stine cause i cannot find either of the poses in her sig in model viewer, and i don't plan on rigging that character for posing (too time consuming).

So the shield type for Bluefrost, and more input for Stine. Until then they will be pending. Moving onto Ishitar now.

This is the most correct position for your model Ishitar. I just want to confirm that's the right dagger before I start working on it.

The other model is ready to roll.

EDIT

I'm also seeking confirmation on the legs and feet for this image also.

I also need to know what Mortanis's face looks like.

That's correct, I was in the middle of the evisceration ws as well, the feet and hands gear I was using was ogre which is darker at the heels and knee. The body was assault jerkin but it seems the same as ogre. I noticed the hair on my knees and lighter colors on the hands...did you shade it lighter or am I going furry with the torama set?=P

You have a good eye for detail. I'll look into changing the boots and gloves. Other than that, the image is bone stock right out of the model viewer.

EDIT: On a side note i also failed with the position. It's hard to tell you were doing evisceration. So that was address. Nicer pose too, doesn't look so stiff.

My shield is the Maple Shield.

I couldn't find Stine's White mage pose, so I just set the paladin pose in her whm and pld gear.

I guess it's up to her whichever she prefers. I have the .psd format if you prefer that instead.

I'm pretty easy to please. Any pose is fine. :)

So Tristam wasn't lying...

j/k :D

Still looking really cool Ant. I especially like the Taru DRG and the wyvern ^^

Yeah that one really is special. Isollde picked out the poses for that in Moink's signature. I just placed the Wyvern like that and it turned out good. Most of the renders look that photo real when you zoom in on them.

You need to give me some inner vision for your character too Lanien.

Hope this meets your description Ishitar

I had to set camera angle a bit lower than planned cause of the shiled, I also pulled Glladia a bit further back so the shield never blocked her head.

Here's one for Glladia
Cross2.jpg

Scene is surely starting to get more detailed. It won't be long before characters will start to get totally blocked out by other characters.

I recommend saving the above group shot and zooming in and checking out the details even though zooming it lowers the quality.

My character? I haven't played in over a year. But the group does look like it needs a BRD lol Let me see if I can find any old pictures of what I looked like.

EDIT: Can't find any pictures or when I was a bard, only DRG, but I wore full Sha'ir gear except for the head, I wore the Opo Crown. I was the Male elvaan, large size, Face Set 2-B I believe.

just like how I envisioned great work man saving them and using as desktop wallpaper

well...sec do you have a larger version of them? If not I can blow them up or use them as an avatar

Blow it up ? It'll pix late.

I'll have to set up the models and take new snapshots cause i never rendered them out very large. I'm guessing you want 1280X1024 resolution ?

yes, please you won't have to have it up there for long i'll save it and you can delete it asap. thanks!

Yeah... welll... I opened myself up for that one didn't I? XD

Great job on the renders Anttaru. I'm not sure were else would be good to store your pictures.

Being a capture from the animation, the pose from the signature is good on the upper half, but the lower end one foot was suspended off the ground on an angle that wouldn't work. So i used this neutral battle pose for Bluefrost.

Bluefrost2.jpg

Never wanted it to look plastic like the others. Something more of a cloth feel which i think i failed to achieve.

I had one of the lights emit the colour blue.

Even though it may not seem like it. The Bluefrost model has more work put into it than any other single model so far. The body armor texture alone has 3 separate parts, although the mapping does not do the low resolution texture any justice. I also coloured the hair to match Bluefrost's version of the character model.

Bluefrost.jpg

This is the absolute best looking female model in the game. If i wasn't pressed for time i would have applied new base shaders and attempt to correct the look of the cloth. And improve the over all render. Less would get done though.

Next we have this one. Same case as above, shooting for a cloth feeling and failed. Knowing that my shader failed i resorted to a different lighting set up. As you can see, I added 3 point lights to the scene.
Stine.jpg

Like all the others, it was rendered using the Mental Ray render engine. Mental Ray doesn't agree with the optical FX, so i rendered out the optical FX using the basic Maya render engine then composited the flairs and halo's over the Mental Ray render in Photoshop. This image unlike the others was done in layers. There are 2 mistakes in the image, i won't bother with it though. I only used 3 lights cause i wanted the light from them to stand out on the model.
Stinecloseupcopy.jpg

Originally i was going to make the models body glow, but that would probably cause the scene to be too blown out. Some of the white is already too bright

Group shot.
Group7.jpg

At this point it was best to space out the characters some being further back in order to have everyone fit in the field of vision and be seen.
The Wyvern needs a reflection adjustment and a Mohawk fix. I also think it turns out better when it's not so bright. Render time is at 28 minutes with Final Gather and Global illumination activated. Most of the other renders i never used neither FG or GI. Moving onto the next character.

Must be this one

I'll be starting it tomorrow evening sometime, If there are any other preferences let me know.

Yes, that is me ^^ Normally always had light staff on my back. As far as poses and stuff, go crazy, but I imagine it will be something along the lines of playing one of the instruments

I must say BlueFrost looks hawt in that, I think I like that one better than all of them cept' mine of course...the cloth feel was achieved I think^^

Oh wow this is awsome. Makes me wanna try it for the ls.
