So a few friends and i went can camped Charybdis, so we are sitting @ camp and Nm pops and we claimed it or we though we had it till this shit happened.

No Fucking Clue how the hell this shit happen but i'm dieing to know!

And if multiple people were claiming, if hate is still "neutral" then even if your party is hitting it and not generating enough hate another party can actually still claim if they have bigger hate. But it sure does look fishy.

Huliant is who stole it! one rdm was kiting it around with dots and grav on it then the other rdm started in right before i started attacking.

I never seen it go white! and if it did it was hella fast cause i was on this ass the whole time.

i wont give up till i get the items needed from this Nm but i am hell pissed this happen. the dropw as not even for me it was for a friend.

my assumption on what happened;

you guys claimed at the same time, thus leaving it yellow. you continuded to build hate from attacks while i assuming he did the same for it to remain yellow. he gained greater hate and then you then quickly lost hate from getting attacked. still his claim yet mob will continue to attack you until your hate falls below his, which would be next to nothing since you have utsusemi and its going to take a greater amount oftime for you to lose it. ive seen this scene play out many times.

but thats my guess. could be hacks could be something entirly differant.

Shapiro dying could indicate he had a lot of hate, he opened with Gravity, then Bio 2, followed by a few more spells.

By this time the scale of hate favours Shapiro and BBT's lack of hate (as seen by him getting hit once) caused it to go unclaimed. I think because of the slight mess/confusion and lack of action on Charbydis maybe shifted it to white. I think BBT didn't engage the NM until after Shapiro died.

Considering that it looks like you did nothing to Chary after Shap died, it probably went yellow whilst you were standing around trying to think of what to do next.

This is what I see in these SS's. So in my opinion, it was not stolen. You lost hate and they took it. Sorry that happened though =/

not that it happened as well but a quicker way to gain hate over them for them to heal you as well and increase hate then invincible. /blockaid helps as well

regardless of a game mechanic or not, it's sad to see it happen, were you building hate with nin debuffs too? it would've worked in your favor better

Hardly stealing; looks like you started hitting it as the other guy did something to it, and he just ended up having more hate. This entire thing could have been avoided if you had just mugged chary to start with, or something.

What was the other person's job when they started attacking Charby? Could be that the person out did you on hate pure and simple.

If multiple groups are competing for the same nm, things like this are going to happen. It isn't an exploit or h4x, it's just the way the game works. Just be glad the nm in question has a 100% droprate and spawns fairly regularly, so suck it up and head out there again for another go at it.

If you're a BLM and have kited puddings, you'll realize this happens a lot.

It can be described as a lost of claim if you kite with gravity. Sometimes your claim will simply go unclaimed for an unknown reason once you step outside of that 20' casting range.

And since this is a NM, I'm sure everyone else was spamming /ja Provoke <t> or what not. So you get hit by a NM steal unexpectedly.

What I still don't understand is the log clearly shows you were hitting while Shap died, so I see your confusion.

What did the GM say?

Shapiro died in the screen shot before BBT hit Chary (go ahead count them) times. Then went unclaimed. When you're in a party HITTING the mob, you're not suppose to "just lose red".

Yes BBT is complaining, but not because he "fucked up". Red mage died, fine, but from the looks of it someone in the party was still alive and hitting Chary normally. "Just standing there"???.... How is BBT "just standing there" when he's obviously connecting hits on chary and engaged?
