Anyone played this yet?

I've had a serious lack of new RPGs lately and I was just cruising around when i saw that this was released yesterday.

Any comments or anything?

Played the demo, had a blast for the 15 minutes it would let you play. I'm going to pick it up later when I have more time. I've been looking forward to this game for the last year or so, haven't seen anything disappointing so far.

The game play is a lot like an action rpg, in that you can jump and some interaction with the environment, and the fights are similar to FFXII in that you can move around them. Character abilities are gained through a system similar to the liscense board from FFXII, but instead of LP you use items to fill in the slots; it takes multiple items to unlock the abilites, so you won't be able to just get everything immediately.

That's most of what I remember, I can post more when I get the game.

You know, recently I've also been looking for some fast paced action(almost wished to play dirge of cerberus again lol) so this sounds good for me o.o I think I might go pick it up

Yeah, it has a action-adventure style with the character development and story of an RPG. It's been a good mix from what I've seen.

Just picked it up, having a blast, and yea it is very action based
Of course I may just be biased b/c I love Level 5, can't wait for their PSP Tactics game Jeanne d'Arc, and their ps3 White Knight Story.

So on the jungle planet Juraika still, taking the game nice and slow, think I'm almost done with the events here though, and I'm in love with this game.

I got it today as well. Mucho fun! I just got onto the jungle planet, but I gotta finish up tons of homework before my immerse myself back in this.

I just got the factory. I have to say this is the most innovative type of item creation thing I've ever seen in a game. It seems super complex at first, but its so interesting putting together all the parts to run the factory and create your items ;o Much more interesting than the weapon synth frog you get lol

Heh I still have to go stop the ex Daytron employee still, just leveling up weapons/characters atm, 25-27 atm character lvlwise.

You get the factory after stopping Jupis. I was around 28-29 when i finished the thing

Yea I figured as much, but I'm having to much fun with the battle system/weapon fusion.

Well lookie who I found. He had a sex change and major age reducing plastic surgury but I'd know this bastard anywhere.

I am getting frustrated. Anyone else having trouble completing there hunting record?

I am currently still in the beginner town trying to finish off my statue dog hunt.

My record so far is:
Baphu 70/30
Dragon Fly 38/25
Sand Tortoise 85/30
Mish 68/30
Cactulus 29/20
Statue Dog 19/30 wtf?
Gold Child 99/25

I am just running around the entire city trying to get into fights with Statue Dogs. Has anyone noticed a certain area these tend to "spawn"? I need to get these done before I leave on my space adventure.

Yea, I've also noticed a Zelda, also chocobo like birds, one of them goes "Kweh", among other things, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery..
But sorry about your statue dogs, battles can just be random, but don't fret, you can always come back and finish it later when you get free reign of your ship, the enemies in that area don't change, and the merchant's inventories in that area don't change, same can be said for every area and merchant, well technically they can get more stuff, as you make more/get higher licenses, but they'll never be missing items, unless they run out of stock.

I didn't actually make a big deal of completing all hunting records. I just got them as I explore around, still missing quite a few lol

I hate to say it, for I am a big FF fan. I'm enjoying this game more than I enjoyed FF12 O_o Lvl 40ish now.

And I love how many weapons this game has. And a lot of them look so cool! And its also nice how your weapons and armors in scenes are the same ones you have equipped!

Yea, cause the cutscenes use the ingame engine. I love this game b/c it has so many similiarities to Dark Cloud 1/2, albeit the weapon fusion system is toned down quite a bit from those, but still fun, and a lot more weapons.
Plus the factory, insectron catching/minigame, revelation board, I hope Level 5 does a Rogue Galaxy 2 in the future, this game hopefully takes off more than their previous titles did.

Having so much fun, still haven't stopped Jupis yet, but levels 31-34 atm, got some pretty sweet weapons too experimenting with the fusion.

lol quina too much exploring ! I stopped Jupis at lvl 30 and am around lvl 40 now in chapter 8.

I just love this battle system lol, moreso than XII's.. and that's hard to do.
Plus Steve just kicks ass, gotta love that ode to the talking slingshot in DC and the ridepod in DC2 too.

Another thing I like about this game, theres no healing magic. Its all items. For once I dont have to spend a party slot on a healer, I can just stack up on damage! =D Currently I like the setup of Jaster, Zegram, and Deego(you'll go for him after Jupis). Maybe I'll try others tomorrow
