Rumor expansion for FFXI ? : SE trademarks "Blood of Bahamut"

Thing is, Bahamut already plays a big role in CoP, and you essentially take him down (don't think you kill him) post-CoP.
What exactly does he have left to contribute?

Blood of Bahamut.... him, just gonna take a whack at it.

Knowing SE...

As stated though, Odin and Alexander are the only ones from ToAU and both seem either way too important or too powerful to place in a players hand.

I would agree that maybe Cait Sith is a possible new summon, his powers are mostly concealed so far and although he does play a major role, it wouldnt stop SE from handing SMNs his power. Look at Diabolos for example, not as major but he plays a role in creating dynamis and CoP storlyline and the final boss in Dynamis Tavnazia.
Doesn't have to be either of them. Look at Alexander for example. His corpse is still there and might function as a portal in to the astral plane. Remember at the end the Windurst ministry that handles Avatars, together with Sandy and Bastok, showed interest in performing experiments on it?

Wouldn't really be hard to do a story around it. Example:

Small taru near large dude: ouchy-wouchy, please help us! After doing X to the remnants of Alexander, a large being showed itself and nearly wiped us outaru! You mustaru defeat it!

And bam, there you have it. Go to nyzul, defeat being, obtain avatar.
Maybe it's supposed to be "Brood of Bahamut"
LMAO

Maaaan.
-Cait Sith is a she.
-It's not Alexander's corpse. That mechanism is not a living thing.
My thoughts? We won't get Odin. We might get Alexander, but I'd lean more towards an extra battle (a la Bahamut v.2) that'll fit 18 people.
I think we'll get Ixion eventually though.

Well, its mechanical, yes, but Alexander possessed it. So in a way its his corpse. Would exoskeleton be a better word? Iunno.

And who cares what gender Cait Sith is. You still got the point, no?

I would imagine its not his corpse, If anything Alexander left the machine the same way he entered it. Thats the unique about Alexander, You cant actually see him... He possess machinery that he feels is worthy and enhances it greatly.

Spoiler:
Remember Ghastaad was in shock when he saw Alexander possess the machinery Raz used against Luzaf.

You sir...are made of some win. I'd die with a smile on my face if that's what it ended up being.

That, or some stupid-ass Energy Drink like "Mana Potion".

Alexander himself is the Ruins of Alzadaal.
The machine was built was a way to control Alexander as a whole.
I... suppose "exoskeleton" is appropriate. But it's a stretch.
And I was offering corrections. Not changes of information.

It is sort of his corpse. If you've completed ToAU you'll notice how they in the end mention that the remains of it works sort of works as a doorway to the Astral Plane etc. While it isn't his real body, it still has a connection to him.

Alexander is "big" puppet iirc. give us alexander thanks.

Its been awhile since i beat AU, I remember the doorway being spoken of but I assume that has more to do with wihy the Maws were all over Vana'diel, and that soon we will be able to access the Astral Plane when WotG storyline got to it. Also I know the ruins are remains of Alexander but the way they make it sound is that he is an Entity or Ghost like Avatar that, rather then form pacts with citizens, he choose to pact himself with machinery. Embodying it and empowering it greatly.

Yes Odin defeated Alexander and because of that, it created a ripple and a doorway. But this same battle took place 700 years ago between the two, The only difference was this was averted and stop by us, the players, and fellow NPCs. I feel that ToAU and WotG will tie themselves together greatly and knitting a bond between western and eastern society... idk... just all speculation.

I think not. Those are linked to Atomos.

Atomos is an Avatar, Alexander opened up a "doorway" to the Astral Plane, and yes the Maws are from Atomos but it doesnt mean he didnt come through this "doorway" sorry for the poor wording on the maws... Atomos and Cait Sith were the main cause/focus towards the exposed doorway

I saw Alex as the Puppeteer not the puppet considering he controls machinery and does what he wants. Noone controlled Alexander.

There's been no indication that the Walk of Echoes (which I figure the WotG story will eventually lead to) is anywhere in the Astral Plane.

Like I said, its speculation, and you never know where SE will lead us to, the story is still unfinished and only speculation is to be taken. we shall see in due time, just like with this Blood of Bahamut.

Blood of Bahamut has as much chance of being the subtitle to FFXI as The Last Remnant did.
And no, I don't think that ToAU and WotG are linked in any way, shape, or form.

If you did the cutscene you 'd see that alexander is controlled. More specificlaay the last mission.
