Rumor expansion for FFXI ? : SE trademarks "Blood of Bahamut"

If you did the cutscene you 'd see that alexander is controlled. More specificlaay the last mission.

Hmm... no.

Please go rewatch that cutscene, and perhaps all the ToAU cutscenes related to Ragnarok.

And @ The OP:
As far as expansions go, SE will probably have a couple in store if you wait long enough.
There's still the far east, west, north and south to explore.

I bet we'll get TaU avatars tomorrow after the VU. I'm pretty sure it's the last TaU version up.

That'd be the giant animator for the shell they built, yes.

Congrats for showing a scene BEFORE Alexander possessed the Machine...

When Alexander takes over, Ghatsad has NO control over it, meaning Alexander is in control now of -that- machine. He is now the puppeteer...

What you have encircled is the Animator as Xali says for when Raz was inside the machine. That is later destroyed by Alexander.

As others said, that machine isn't Alexander.

It's just a big lump of iron controlled by Razfahd and Ghatsad until the spirit (Yes, as in a huge ball of light without any comprehensable form) Alexander takes over the machine.

OMG! Bahamut's Lagoon?? One of the most kick-ass Square games that didn't get enough attention/credit since its first release. Always loved that game.

Actually, if you'd have done the mission you'll see that Alexander is in that big machine as well. They've added a function which will control the machine itself, while Alexander only works as a kind of power-source through a forged astral candescense (sp?). So he's inside it, as a power source, without any real control over it at first. However, after a while, the failsafe breaks, and Alexander manages to take control of the machine.

As the forged astral candescense are still inside the machine when he's destroyed, the remains of it works as a doorway in to the astral plane.

... I guess thats why they were in shock and awe when they realised Alexander had possessed the machine isn't it?... Even Cutscenes prior to the fight Ghatsad shows his cause for concern saying that Alexander may not find the machine worthy enough for him to control. The machine itself was built as a trap to emprison Alexander so that Raz could use him to for the deeds he wants. There is no indication whether Alexander was actually cought. The cannon that took out the airship came from the Astral Candies.

Alexander also only made his presence known when he knew Odin was near. Alexander and Odin despise each other and Alexander still seeks to destroy him, its why Alexander was so determined to bring ultimate destruction to Aht Urgan once more.

They were in shock and awe because suddenly he controlled the machine instead of powering it.

Yes, they were afraid he wouldn't find it worthy, but that was before the final fight. They planned to imprison him in it and still control it, through the means used by puppet masters. They got the idea to it partly from Nashmeira's puppets, and that's also why they thought she was the key to the whole thing. Have Alexander possess the machine (thus powering it), but still retain control of the machine itself in order to win the war. They never actually planned on Alexander to take complete control of the machine and make them unable to control it.

Like a computer. The electricity powers it, but you still have control of it. Alexander just happened to be an intelligent type of power and took control of the machine itself. What would happen if the electricity took control of your computer and made you unable to control the computer yourself?

I'd get a party and whip it's ass like I did Alexander

In 45 minutes, no less.
