So by your thinking it’s ok to ridicule perfect strangers? I think there are laws in real life that have a few dictations on that. You don’t walk downtown and call someone a fuck because you want to. Restraint on our foul tempers is not the dictatorship you’re making it out to be.

And of course you can “Deal With It” as we all should. But should you really be dishing it out? Turrets is considered a disease. If you feel you have a right to make whatever comments you want that is your decision, but making the decision to force everyone to put up with it is another story.

Internet Amnesty in my view does not afford you the right to treat people inferior and with contempt. These are really people you are talking to with real feelings. If you view it otherwise so be it, but on behalf of those who don’t post due to not wanting to put up with this shit I’m letting you know your way of thinking is not Law.

I never said it was Ok. I said that if someone you don't know says something to you that you don't agree with then you shouldn't take it to heart.

It has so little to do with a personal comment. It has to do with the way people treat each other on this forum in general.

As it was stated before the Flameboard came back with the only real dictation that the assy comments stay on the flameboard. That contract is being breeched daily. You guys have your place to vent and make fun of. The inability to keep it here is the problem.

It sure doesn't, but I really don't care what you or anyone thinks of me. It's fun making one-liners. I know I'm an asshole and generally have a pretty shitty attitude towards people I don't know. Don't know why. Don't really care either. That's me. There's an ignore list. Have a ball.

The ignore list has it’s uses, but does not solve the problem of people keeping it civil outside of the flameboard. This is the rule. You have a lot of back up excuses for acting the way you act… I find it odd they all have to deal with other people taking action to stop it.

Your the who made this about the personal comments by bringing up school/work. We just have a difference of opinion on that.

We have our place to vent, yes, but i haven't seen any other really mean comments besides the one that Phraust made because he overreacted to a silly comment made by Decidence. The problem as i see it, isn't people being asses outside of the flameboard, its people not being able to take a simple one-liner and laugh it off.
 
Yeah because frankly, there's nobody important enough here to make me change the way I act. The mods can temp/perma ban me if they want. I've had nothing but praises for my attitude to tell you the truth. Maybe I should change... but I just don't give a fuck. /keekleberry

Seems to be the commonality you and lego share. I can see where you are coming from though. There’s’ an allure in the Nut-Kicking contest. Plain and simple though… you should not be the ones to dictate that people are being too timid to take a joke.

Think they’re just too weak hearted to take it? That’s your view. In my opinion your view is flawed and does not allow a place for people to post safely. This board is not yours to do with as you see and that is what I keep hearing out you and lego.

Look past your own views and realize not everyone is like you… nor should they be.

I have a 6 year old daughter who I can never show this board to… even outside of the flamebaord due to the shear aggressive behavior and language.

I have a 15 year old foster child who wants to play the game also. I fear the day he finds this server forum and starts to think your way of thinking is the Norm and acceptable.

And in my opinion, your opinion is flawed. In my opinion, its people that need to complain over every little thing that is bringing this country down. People can't very easily adapt to real world life without being able to take a simple one-liner. Its not like its never ending harassment. A simple joke that someone overreacted to and they need to be babied and told that everything is gonna be ok. Thats the nice thing about an opinion though, it can't be wrong.

Secondly, age has very little to do with it. I have met people that are 60 (like my physics teacher) that share the same views with me, as well as people that are 17 (like some of my class-mates). As i said before, i have only seen the one example of people being "less than cordial", and that was the Deci/Phraust example.

How many people complaining here have made jackass comments about Blazn/Kire/Delsus on another board before? In fact, how many people in general do this? But these are "funny" because people don't like him. And why was this topic made in general towards Decidence's comment after what Phraust said? I just don't see the point. One-liners and flames seem be have different degrees of acceptance depending on who says them or who the target is.

You miss the point. It's not that I'm /cutting over anything you all have said. I could care less what you and your buddies think. I'll even go so far as to say the lot of you can be pretty entertaining here on the flameboards. I just don't see the need to be gross to other people in posts that don't have anything to do with you for no reason whatsoever. I'm not asking for some forum nazi to come in and sew people's mouths shut, and I'm not saying people should be banned or suspended. If you reread my original post, I'm asking for a tiny measure of common sense and common courtesy. I didn't think it was a lot to ask for, especially from someone who, from what we can see above, wants to act like he's so grown up because he can talk smack wherever he wants. Here's a tip: Talking shit doesn't make you a grown-up. It makes you sometimes entertaining. And other times, like in Good Times threads that have nothing to do with you, it makes you a juvenile.

Also, about the kids, 15 years old? Are you serious? You are still trying to keep his/her eyes shut from how people are?

Kids learn far worse things at school way before they are 15, than a couple of people saying lol mpk is fun.
