No, seriously. I'm happy with Mrs. Right. As you may or may not know (I believe i've mentioned it several times), I have a homosexual cousin. He tends to send me strange, scary videos... Kind of like Blackmagic.

actually, i read about this in hustler (a skin mag). a lady wrote in one of those questions they chose to publish about her catching her husband doing this. they noted that its common among many species of monkeys but the concern should be more about the need for the act than the act itself. i mean come on, if you need head that much, you should go get a woman

What if you went back and and had this sex with yourself but gender swapped and somehow got it pregnant and had a kid?

Would you be considered asexual since you more or less fucked yourself but reproduced? o_O

And since you're reproducing with yourself, what do you think the odds of some sort of mental retardation are there?

We know what happens with in-breeding, but what about this self-breeding?

wouldn't it theoretically be a clone of yourself? So it wouldn't really be retarded, but an exact copy of yourself, no? Although it could turn it in to either gender...

im pretty sure that even if you reproduced with your opposite gender self, that gene that makes you male and her female wouldnt be exactly the same, so it wouldnt be an exact clone...i dk tho im no biologist so dont tear my nuts off for it =P

Well, it kind of would.

Male is XY, female is XX. The Y chromosome is slightly smaller then the X chromosome. That is also one of the reasons Males have increased risk of being affected by various genetically defects that affects the X chromosome (such as color blindness) due to only having one X chromosome. Females have a "reserve" X-chromosome, so in order to be affected by, say, color blindness, both of their X-chromosomes need to have the gene defect.

Also, everyone is female in the first stages of pregnancy. The difference doesn't come until later (hence why some animals, such as crocodiles, the female eggs can grow in to male eggs, depending on the climate, but not reversed). So theoretically, if you could impregnate yourself, and you're male originally, if the child that results from the pregnancy is a male, it would be an exact clone of yourself. At least, it should be.

Although I don't think the same would hold true for a female, since females have 2 X chromosomes. They can't grow a Y chromosome, so they wouldn't be able to change sex, so the same can't hold true for them. A male on the other hand, could, theoretically speaking, turn in to a female, by duplicating the X chromosome.

So I still think the result, assuming you're a male, and the child produced from it is a male, would be an exact clone of yourself.

Fun fact: One of the reasons some extreme-feminists believe that the male gender will die out eventually, is because of the smaller Y-chromosome. It have mutated to become smaller, and by their calculations, it will mutate and become smaller until it no longer exists.

Which, naturally, makes them happy... in some sick way.

I would think that gender wouldn't have anything to do with if the cross-dimensional, auto-bred baby would be a clone or not, since, assuming the you in this sex-reversed universe is the exact same as you, hence the only difference in his/her genetic makeup would be an X/Y swap. Thus the resulting offspring would be an exact clone of the same-sex parent, assuming the child would be a clone in the first place.

However, there is something that everyone is overlooking. When an egg is fertilized the embryo gets half its chromosomes from the father and half from the mother, but which chromosomes are passed on is random. And for those that don't know, there are dominant and recessive genes, with the dominant ones taking precedence in determining genetic traits but with the possibility to pass on the recessive genes. A simple example is blood type. O is recessive to A and B, so if a child receives an O type from one parent and an A from the other, the child will have a blood type of A.

Thus, even if both parents have the exact same genetic makeup (aside from the sex chromosome) the only way to ensure that the offspring has the exact same genes is if the genetic code of the parents has only dominant-dominant or recessive-recessive pairs. If, going with the blood type example, both parents have A type blood, but with A and O genes, the offspring could potentially have O type blood, different from both parents.
 
You're right, I forgot about recessive and dominant genes. Were several years ago I read biology =/ So there would only be a chance that the offspring is an exact clone
