I came across a complaining feedback form at work a few minutes ago that hit on one of my absolute biggest pet peeves, so I thought I'd make a topic here to see what really sets off everyone else. Here are a few of my biggest ones...

-People who falsely deny what they are about to say. This is the one that made me want to make this topic. What I mean is when someone says something like "I don't mean to complain, but (insert complaint here)". I just want to slap them in the face. Other frequently used ones are "I'm not being racist, but...", "Not to be mean, but...", "Don't take this the wrong way, but...", etcetc. Just be honest. If you want to make a racist comment, don't say it's not racist because it's fucking racist.

-People who religiously don't use their blinker while driving. My dad does this, and I give him shit about it all the time. It literally takes zero effort to move your hand half an inch to turn on your blinker. I shouldn't have to be a mind reader to know what the hell you're doing while you're driving. Hell, you paid for the damn thing when you bought the car, the least you can do is use it.

-People who can't be bothered to properly store their shopping carts after use. How many times have you been looking for a parking spot and you see one then start to pull in and Dumbass McDouche left a shopping cart there? You have to get out and move it, or you have to find another spot. How many times after shopping have you gone to your car just to find someone else's cart against your car? Who knows how it got there or how hard it hit your car. Just be considerate. Most parking lots have more than ample cart storage spaces in them, take the 10 seconds to walk your cart to one of them.

-People who use acronyms without understanding what they mean. If you ever in your life have said any of the following, be glad it wasn't around me because my pimp hand would've struck true...: "ATM machine", "PIN number", or "RPG game". Ugh, I want to slap myself for even typing them out now.

These are just a few of my biggest annoyances. I have more that I'll type up later, but I just wanted to get this topic up while I'm still really annoyed to see who else shares in my frustrations.

Finding hair on the soap in the shower..fucking nasty

yea this one annoys me too. It made me think of the scene in the movie Shoot 'Em Up when he is bitching about the same thing. Loved that scene and was cheering him on the whole time.

I have a few pet peeves but for some odd reason none are coming to mind.

People chewing with their mouths open!

Am good just waiting to leave work...

Another pet peeve I have is...People putting items back empty, milk cartons, laundry soap, or anything in general. You see an item there to be used and are fully expecting to be able to use it only to find it is empty. Pisses me off to no end.

Same type of pet peeve I guess but another thing, not replacing the toilet paper roll or paper towel roll after using it or refilling the soap in the dispenser. It seems like I am the only to forever be replacing this kinda crap after everyone else who uses the same items never takes care of it. Lets leave one little sliver of a piece of toilet paper or the end of the paper towel roll so it appears there is something there still...

I hate that too. Or when its just short of empty leaving you enough milk for one cup of coffee but if it comes to anything else, you have enough to do.... nothing with it.

Probably my biggest one is insincere people. Like if you can't muster up the real sentiment before you open your mouth, stfu and spare me the insult to my intelligence. Part of this is people who say "I love you" when they don't really mean it. If you don't feel it, don't say it. It's the easiest and most ruthless way to manipulate and take advantage of someone.

I hate it when people criticize/complain and don't offer a solution

yep

Expanding on to this, there are people who observe something I'm doing and JUST THE MOMENT before I do it I get the "Uh....are you doing that right?" "What are you doing?" I then explain what I'm doing then they ask those questions which aren't really questions but really are orders saying do it this way when it's something so trivial and so diminutive that I don't need your fucking two cents nor the micromanagement to do something. It's even better when they go to explain why whatever they say is better and how what I was doing(which would be nothing since I didn't do anything before they spoke) is wrong or not the right way.

And I sympathize with the shopping carts, after I got off of work I would actually take a few back up to near the Dollar tree store because I found them just near a car or mine when I had one or one just rolling around about to hit another one.

Something new to add

Repeating myself irl, maybe part of the reason I'm so verbose when I talk or that I say and act so stiffly is because I hate repeating myself

Although your first pet peeve I'm definitely guilty of doing no denying that

In a pretty foul mood today so had to vent sorry about that

How people always think it's OK to walk up to a short person and go "OMG!! You're SOOO skinny!" but if I walked up to a big person and said "Jeez! You're really fat!" I'm considered rude. I get this all the time.

My brother does this all the time, then I go to the store and don't buy whatever it is we're missing because I saw the container there. Then I get home and get pissed off about it, lol.

People chewing with their mouths open!

RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (f -,...,-)f I HATE THAT. People that I know that realize this is a pet peeve of mine will sometimes literally say 'Nom nom nom nom' while chewing. These people have gotten hit or kicked repeatedly. I'm just sorry that I cannot slap the fools eating in the resturant with their mouths wide open while talking and laughing.... /shudder.

-No eye contact during conversation. Unless I'm on the phone with you, I fully expect you to be looking at me while I'm talking to you. I mean, I dont expect you to be full on staring at me the entire time but a respectful amount of eye contact is necessary to not make me irritated.

-Talking over/interrupting. I will kill you and eat your liver. Seriously.

-Old men in hats, driving. These, have to be the slowest people on earth. Hands down. Any time I pull up behind someone at a red light and I see that its an elderly man in a hat, I know I'm going to be doing at least 20 under the speed limit. So aggrivating, but its not like I can cuss at them >.> they're old.

-Telemarketers from Calcutta that say "Hello, my name is Steve/Bob/Mike/Stan". Really? Come on.

-Pristine looking mothers dressed to the nines accompanied by their ill-dressed, dirty children that they act horrible towards in public. Really lady? You were so busy trying to get yourself so gussied up to go to Target that you couldn't run a washcloth over your childs face or put them in some clean clothes? Bathe them? Then you're going to give a huge deep sigh when they pitifully whimper 'Momma, bafroom?' and act like they just pissed in your Louie V bag, yank them out of the cart, practically drag them by the arm to the facilities and make them go as quickly as possible? Lady you're lucky I have at least a small amount of self-control within me that I don't rip your bag off your arm and bludgeon you to death with your 5 year supply of condoms, mascara and self-tanning lotion.

-Teenage girl drivers. I know this might be weird coming from a 25 year old woman but... HONEY GET OFF THE FUCKING PHONE AND TAKE THOSE HUGE SUNGLASSES OFF WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING AT 9 PM. You are not Lindsay Lohan, if you were, I would have run you over by now.

-Slow people in the grocery store. Not just the people that take their time, really thats ok, you can walk around those. I mean the people who take a step every 30 seconds in the middle of a packed isle when the ONLY thing you went to the grocery store for is 4 feet in front of them.

-Avril Lavigne. You know, I don't really think I need to explain much here.

-Yellers. You're at a bar. You're sitting there with your friends and you're having a good time. Out of nowhere, a gentleman comes up very near to you and screams across the room. "I NEED <insert drink> PLEASE. LIKE FOUR OF THEM" or "DUUUUUUUUUDE STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVE WHAT IS UUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPP". >_> (that is me staring at you, considering if I'm going to shove my straw in your eye, or your trachea.)

-People that ask obvious questions with obvious answers but still want you to fix the problem for them. This happened a lot at my old job. I was a trainer there and if they came to my desk, I would put what I was doing on hold and help them out. Even go to their desk and side-by-side with them during a call. If the answer was right there, some of them wouldn't want to do it, instead having me do it, because well... they were just plain tired of trying! Well gee golly, I'll get right on that. Not so much. -_-

-Excessive pen tapping.

-When people drink out of my drink, or eat off of my plate/double dip. I am a germaphobe. Minor, in most respects, but still. I get skeeved out really easy on some things. I don't really like shaking hands all that much, I DO carry hand sanitizer. If you do any of the above, or like, dont cover your mouth when you cough/sneeze or wipe your nose/mouth with your hand and rub it off on your pants? I officially want to barf.

There are more, lol, but I'll leave it be for now.

fucking lmfao Morwen haven't even gotten through half of that but I'm starting to feel better

I like the liver statement the best...I might sig that

Yep!

I could probably think of a ton, because I hate everything; msotly what other people have said. But I guess specifically:

- People invading my personal space.

- Being brushed up against/touched in public by a stranger like in a line up at a movie theatre, grocery store, etc

- People who drive 20 kmh or less under the speed limit. Maybe you don't have anywhere to go, but I do

- Driving in downtown Toronto
