So. . . What's the point then? (Probably emo warning.) -_-

>> I was so in that Valley party. It was awesome. Creativity +0.6 pts up.

Anyways, I would have long ago uninstalled this game probably in December 2003 if it was not for the people. I was the white mage who always took the death since all the warriors had a hissy fit when they died. One day out of the blue, a mithra monk paged me to join her party along with this wayward warrior and a few other people. The party managed to do pretty well and it opened the door for partying with the same monk and warrior for all of valkrum. While in the parties, we talked about non-ingame stuff and even teased each other. It made playing FFXI more entertaining than what I was used to seeing in parties. Sadly, the monk had to quit the game and the warrior I knew got his business running full time and has yet to return to playing. (>> This experience was not on Q)

I guess Armi is really the person to thank for starting up on Q and other people around the Q community to keep me playing on this server. She was the one who suggested making a role playing linkshell and meh, as a good friend, I jumped on to help. My first day there, I got lost in the outpost and our little level five party got wiped by orcs a few times. XD
The CrimsonpiratesPG started off pretty small but everyone seemed very comfortable in the LS, including myself. When I had to place two friends onto FFXI, I choose to put them on Q server over the other one. They have seemed to fit in with the linkshell and are probably well known to any of the newer members that join in. We can even joke around in there without having too many problems.

Within the linkshell, I have had many friends call me on the telephone and page me through AIM just to talk and mess around. As dumb as this sounds, it builds up the linkshell better and clears a lot of miscommunication that can occur. We always find something on FFXI to poke fun at.
Of course many people come and go out of FFXI. There are some people who still keep in touch.

Personally there are people who I know who migrated here together...as a group...and I was lucky enough to meet these people and "grow up" with them. I only play this game because of the people, and I have made some REALLY close relationships with people...

Sometimes it easier to show who you really are behind the security of a keyboard...sometimes its not.

If you ever see me around you see me with the same people day in and day out...and if someone who is close to me quits....I will be devistated...I love these people...and the game atmosphere wouldn't be the same without them.

There are 4 people (who come to mind in this situation) who I play this game with everyday that I would consider better friends then most people I work with, hang out with, whatever, because of the effort we make with each other to get closer. and 3 of them are moving along with me to live together (craziest idea ever, but we're young and need some adventure while we can XD )

HEY i'm not going anywhere! You are all comming to me! Whats up now punk! LOL

Honestly, I'm not an MMO fan, but my LS keeps me here. I've met some AWESOME people, some I still talk to and some I don't. And even though I might not talk to some as much as I want too, if at all, I have the memories and thats ok with me. I can only hope that they have fond memories of me too.

MY ls is awesome though, hands down. Ran, Curago, Ellion, Ahyumi, Svina, Marael, and the rest who don't post on QCDN I love you all. And though we may not speak in a year, we'll always have the memories.

Would you rather have not done it at all, then to have those memories of better times? Regret nothing. ^^

::gasps for air:: Cannot breathe. x.o;;

That was nicely said Armi.
It is the same feeling when people move away from home. Maybe it is difficult to find the time to call or write the person, but they probably have not had much time either. (It also does not help being shy... >>)

Yes... I am crazy enough to go visit these people later on in the summer. Maybe they will still be playing FFXI, maybe not. :P

CrimsonPiratesPG... I think I've heard of those guys... Yes, that name definitely seems familiar, but I can't for the life of me remember why. :mrgreen:
