>> I was so in that Valley party. It was awesome. Creativity +0.6 pts up.
Anyways, I would have long ago uninstalled this game probably in December 2003 if it was not for the people. I was the white mage who always took the death since all the warriors had a hissy fit when they died. One day out of the blue, a mithra monk paged me to join her party along with this wayward warrior and a few other people. The party managed to do pretty well and it opened the door for partying with the same monk and warrior for all of valkrum. While in the parties, we talked about non-ingame stuff and even teased each other. It made playing FFXI more entertaining than what I was used to seeing in parties. Sadly, the monk had to quit the game and the warrior I knew got his business running full time and has yet to return to playing. (>> This experience was not on Q)
I guess Armi is really the person to thank for starting up on Q and other people around the Q community to keep me playing on this server. She was the one who suggested making a role playing linkshell and meh, as a good friend, I jumped on to help. My first day there, I got lost in the outpost and our little level five party got wiped by orcs a few times. XD
The CrimsonpiratesPG started off pretty small but everyone seemed very comfortable in the LS, including myself. When I had to place two friends onto FFXI, I choose to put them on Q server over the other one. They have seemed to fit in with the linkshell and are probably well known to any of the newer members that join in. We can even joke around in there without having too many problems.
Within the linkshell, I have had many friends call me on the telephone and page me through AIM just to talk and mess around. As dumb as this sounds, it builds up the linkshell better and clears a lot of miscommunication that can occur. We always find something on FFXI to poke fun at.
Of course many people come and go out of FFXI. There are some people who still keep in touch.
