The other day, I was trying to get Poison Breath, and the hounds in Tahrongi Canyon wouldn't use it at all (I literally left one alive, beating on me, from around 2:30 until about 19:30 game time, and it never once used Poison Breath >.>). So I headed to Gusgen Mines to see if there were any hounds there I could solo. To my delight, there were a couple of EM-T Bandersnatches, and I found I could make very nice exp in between spawns by soloing the T Ghouls in the area. At one point, I even got this:

Yeah, I was using my Empress Band (you can see it wearing off in that pic), but damn. XD That was 3 Ts in a row (I rested, of course, but not long enough to lose chain as you can see). Then I ran across an EM hound with less than half my MP left, and some HP missing...

Unfortunately, even though he used Poison Breath, I didn't learn it. :( I left after this, giving up for the time being, but while taking a chocobo to Jeuno, I ran across a T Bog Dog (funny name XD) in Pashhow Marshlands, so I hopped off my choco and tried my luck again. Not only did I barely manage to kill it (survived with 14 HP and 3 MP), but I learned Poison Breath from it! ^^ Soloing on BLU is damn fun. Just this morning, I even soloed a VT worm for 300 exp (with empress band). ^^

Aye, soloing as BLU is additively fun. Only problem is that as you level, it gets damn near impossible to cure yourself. Let's face it, with the best self-cure you can get is Pollen for what...34 HP? That doesn't do much when with Protect and Cocoon EM and T hits for 40-50 ><. But yes, soloing as BLU is almost too easy in the low levels. Taking down 3-4 toughs in a row w/o having to rest is a wonderful thing :).

What lv can you solo up to?

If you can afford juices to help reduce resting time needed, you could probably solo to 25 with zero trouble. Just keep in mind that after that it will become hard to keep up on any damage you may take, as you can only rely on a /NIN sub so much and your MP with /WHM can only last so long.

My BLU is only 26, but I'm loving ever second of it.

I solo'd up to level 30. I think I joined maybe 1-2 parties max, both which were horrible. With someone PL'ing you on top of the solo work, you can chain 5(And even 6) on EM's and T's. Alone, you can almost always manage chain 2 or 3.

I solo'd to 27, and duo'd to 37 (well I had to leave for work with 17xp tnl, but that's as good as 37 imo, lol) so far. Only usually use cookies, and no PL. Duo partner and myself have been blu/whm the whole time, same gear and looks too so we get lots of sexy twin comments. Love you Dominatrix^^.

Yeah BLU is insane soloing VS. bones. :D I snagged 300 exp (Dedication was in effect) off a Ghoul in Shakrami a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, I soloed my way to 30 last night. It's easy with WHM sub, but so many people try NIN and then have no way to Cure themselves besides Pollen (since Healing Breeze is only useful as AoE; it only heals for twice the amount Pollen does, but for almost 7 times the MP). Sure you get Utsusemi, but I've found that to not be very useful to me on BLU, since I'm always too busy casting other spells to worry about recasting Utsusemi. It totally messes up my rhythm. Cure II is quite useful, though when I'm actually trying to solo stuff, not learn from them, I just cycle through Bludgeon -> Helldive -> Head Butt over and over until the mob dies. I almost never cure mid-fight. I can take on most Ts pretty easily this way.
