I was agreeing with you. No where did I say a linkshell makes the player. I said the exact opposite. I'm just wondering why some people can't reserve judgment of something based on how it's constructed today, not how it was constructed years ago. (yes, BoL has it's bad apples, but you will find those everywhere)

Yeah your whole "point system" that you guys are in control of and no one else seems to be able to see is legit >.>. Your missing the point of the whole arguement, it wasn't just about sea it was just an example of how drops were given or not given out. I joined BoL because a few of my old friends where in it and since not many of my friends still play i thought what the heck i don't care what ppl think. Really i don't care about the bad rep so much but, the crying and drama that goes on is to much for alot of ppl to handle.

This is true it does not define the person, but it does cast a shadow.

Unfortunately the only way to see light again is get away from the source of the shadow. If watchyourstep is still leading that shell then people going look as you as children of WYS. Trust me been there done that. If he no longer leading then maybe it time to shed your skin and start anew. Break away from BOL like other shells have done and build your own image.

First off you can change your image you just can't hold on to your roots or you will still be tainted. Secoundly there are plently of shells that can claim, to be fair even epic can claim they just horrible at killing it. There are others as well you just don't hear about them because they don't focus mainly on kings and are not pioneers of hnms or spolighters.
Perseverance and JDA are good example of shells that have improved there image (even though there past does get brought up every now and them) so it is posible to do it.

Your skill, attitude and reputatoin as a player, is what gets you into other LS, or better LS, not the LS you come from.

I started in BoL, then went to Rise (one of the BoL player created endgame LS) and now I'm in Perseverance. My past LS had nothing to do with my application, and Rise-Perseverance had issues back then.

Interesting really, you want to try to change your LS' image and work with it because you think BoL is a dead end in your endgame "career".

You better look at the name of some of the members in the Ls you mention earlyer. Because I know more then a few that has been in BOL and other bad image ls at one point or anouther. While it does make a mark or your record everyone has start somewhere and it will not stop you from getting into a good shell if you are a good player and not a thief. (and even that has not stop some people)
