Congratulations on the robe, Myrrh. You've definitely been through some trials for it now -- I don't think even your archenemies will deny you that, at this point.
A whole lot of the same stuff, plus some good ol' Christian fun.
Zer, I hate to come at you this way, as you probably have the least amount of blame in this situation ... next to Myrrh. Still, you're digging yourself into a hole of guilt by association, and you
KEEP ... USING ... THE ... SAME ... DEFENSES. You're just dressing them up as something new. I guess I'm one of the folks that are "nothing," because I sense that you didn't read my post. In its defense, it's really no longer than one of yours.
------
First and foremost, you still haven't seemed to have acknowledged the idea that lotting rights were NOT "equal" in this case. You do say over and over that you suffered a great deal of "miscommunication" (for which you should be seriously considering action against Soulstar, by the way), but that doesn't cut it -- I address that point in particular right below.
------
You've got to stop trying to "justify" the actions, and realize that the only thing for you to do is "apologize" for them. You can't keep burying half-sincere apologies in the middle of ten paragraphs of defensiveness. No amount of "not knowing about the agreement" will save any face for you, as you and Xean had no right to make a call
regardless of how much you knew. Any attempt to "explain" why you made the decision isn't helping, simply because you're dodging the fact that
the decision wasn't yours to make.
------
No amount of "trying to make nice" is going to make the situation any better, simply because there was more to this whole nastiness than the simple act of Ninja-lotting. When you suddenly know that certain people hate your friggin' guts (Xean most prominently among them), you're not about to just let them go back to pretending that they can stand you. What's more, the perpetual refusal to simply
APOLOGIZE without first leading up to it with a drowning sea of "l0lz this iz y we shudnt haf to 1st tho" makes it difficult to believe in any sort of sincerity.
------
You've got to stop falling back on the "z0mg don't generalize to the whole linkshell" pleas, because out of dozens of people posting here, maybe one or two have. Almost everyone has limited their criticisms to the party involved, and those poor souls who have had the courage to come here and try to defend them. I don't even hold anything against Josudes, Falk, and certainly not Tim ... I understand that they're obeying their loyalties, and in the grand scheme of what happened ... they're completely guiltless. You, Xean, and Soulstar however, very much have something to answer for.
------
I've already addressed why trying to chalk this monstrous faux pas up to simple miscommunication doesn't work, as you didn't have any place making calls in the first place. Still, however, your continual insistence that XEAN didn't know about an "agreement" is very difficult to believe. I'm sure that this might've been the case with you, but Xean has flat out said (in screenshotted text) that he understood that this would be ninjalotting. His own version of his defense has him justifying his actions based on a personal distaste and distrust of Myrrh -- not the details of this particular situation.
------
You need to stop begging people to let this topic die. It may be harsh to point it out, but the thread is YOUR mess to clean up. Yours, Xean's, and Soulstar's (who we have yet to hear from at all). The reason it keeps burning so strongly has a lot more to do with the fact that you simply will
NOT just break down, give up, and admit fault. When you insist on keeping your posts to the same tired lines of reasoning, while refusing to accept any blame, it ignites an anger and passion in people. They want to see some sort of resolution to this -- you seem to want your last words on the topic to be "well, I don't really think we did anything wrong, and even if we did, it's not all that's bad." It shouldn't come as any surprise that people won't let you get away with that. It's a cop-out.
Fall to your knees, and surround your "I'm sorry"s with a thousand mea culpas ... not more justifications, explanations, and defenses. THAT will end this topic.
