Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Game is quite fun but it seems I have been hit with some glitch for the last three levels. Side mission shows up as "Default Text*". The Force points stays at 0 and so does the Holycron. Other then this retarded ass glitch I really like the game. I will be playing through it again so I can maybe get all the achievements as long as this glitch doesn't happen again.

I loved the first part of the game where you get to play as Darth Vader. It was really fun and they got his presence right. I just felt uber and all powerful doing my "arrogant Darth Vader like I own the place" walk smacking wookies like they weren't even there. I am totally digging this game thus far. They will also fix the glitches later on down the line w/ downloadable content.

Game wasn't as bad as the demo made it seem for me. Still not even close to worth $60 though.

I just wish everything in the game was destructable. This is a step in the right direction. I just think this game will be crushed by the hype. It won't quite live up to what they claimed it to be.

Is this a beatable in 1-2 days game? Just wondering, i really waa play it but idk if i should buy or rent

im on day 2, not sure how close to the end i am but i am taking my time working on achievements as i go through, i mean i had all the kill 100 enemy ones before i ever got to play as the apprentice lol. Im still loving this game! havent hit those glitches yet ive heard about.

ran into my first issue with the game. It was a glitch on the final boss.
you get a choice at the end between two battles, what you choose will decide what ending you get, light or dark. so i chose....

Spoiler:
Light side, and went to fight the emperor. While fighting him he threw one of those canisters at me and knocked me THROUGH the blue force field wall and i was stuck on the ground outside the battle arena, i had to keep jumping up and down to let him hit me with lightning enough to kill me, but when it loaded back up it had me fighting vader instead...forcing me to take the dark side ending. Dammit!!!

anyone know how to get that dark black/purple lightsaber?

I thought you could just edit the color of your lightsaber. At least that's the impression I got from one of the pause menu options on the demo.

I thought this was one of the best games I've played in a while until I got to the level 2 boss and played level 3 and some of 4. The game went from a 10 to a 3-4 because the goddamn camera and targetin' system are quite possibly the worst of any game ever made (playin' on the hardest difficulty isn't hard because the game is hard, it's because the camera and targeting system). You also get put in some pretty bullshit situations, like if you saber/force lock or get put in button-pressin' mode you can still get raped but you can't break the hold or lock. So not sure how I feel on this one, I want to say it's a 10 but the little things make it feel like a 4 at best.

I don't know if I feel like buying this for my PS3 to play 9 levels. My friends said he beat the game in 9 hrs.

But I also heard the PS2 version had an extra board, a tomb or something, is this true?

I highly, highly doubt this is true. Every game that comes out on PS2 as well as the next gen consoles is always seriously stripped down for the PS2.

Yeah the Wii/PSP/PS2 have an exclusive board, says you can explore the Jedi Temple and fight spirits of old Jedi.

Didn't say whether they lost another board, just said they had an exclusive board.

The PS2/PSP/Wii versions may have an exclusive board, for now, but you also should realize they wont be gettin' any DLC. The menu for the Xbox 360 version already has a DLC tab so it's only a matter of time before the 360 and PS3 versions are superior.

Weird, that's the only game where there's something special about the PS2 version; everyone other game it's a horrible stripped down version compared to the next gen's. But it's something they could easily add into the 360/Ps3 versions with a patch or DLC.

I love this game, it's really hard to put down once I get into it. I've only had a chance to play it for a little bit within the past week, but I think I'm already near the end of the game. At least, I think.

I bought the guide along with the game, but I'm not going to look at it until I beat it through at least once.

I only unlocked one extra costume so far, the sith robe that was on like.. the second or third level. I <3 that robe so much. I can't wait to see what the other sith costumes are. But it's so badass to look like a sith from the get go. XD Coupled with the Unstable Red lightsaber crystals... *drools* It's always nice to know you can look badass.

I had trouble with the bosses at first, but once you get the combat down you don't even need to target them except to use force push.. and even then you don't always have to have them targeted.

Spoiler:
I have to say, I was pretty dissapointed in Shaak Ti (sp?) for being the last surviving member of the Jedi Council.. she was incredibly easy to kill. >_>; If it wasn't for the design of the stage you fight her in, and the fact that she calls on help from minions and the big monster thing, she wouldn't be worth being called a Jedi at all. At least, that's the impression I was left with after her boss fight. Honestly, I had more trouble with that midget mechanical-spider-like dude than I did with her.

Still, I've not yet beat the game on normal mode. I'm digging the story enough so far, but I do wish the cutscenes were longer in order to delve into a larger story. Yet, even so, I'd say the story works so far.
