O.kote don't affect ranged attack, shin. And I know your build is a sam/rng so unless your using the o.kote to compensate for the str loss from not subbing war, then you just want them to have them. O.kote are a luxury item, you can get by just fine without them. I've gone from 25 to 56 with Federation Tekko, and I'm still most likely gonna use em even after my af.

Did you get dropped on your head as a child, you imbecile? The only place I buy my food from is... like virtually every other player in the goddamned game... the Auction House. And, lo and behold, since I'm not psychic, and I'm pretty fucking sure there's a majority of non-RMT cooking crafters out there, how the hell would I know who I'm buying from. We're not talking about okote or some multi-million gil nm drop that has a 90% chance of being RMT, we're talking about food: something used every day by every player in the game. To even attempt to make that connection, you must be either supremely stupid or unreasonably illogical at the very least.

More than one person in 60+ pages has said it, but I'll say it again for the learning imparied. There's a big difference between buying at the AH, especially something like food, which everyone uses and is crafted by a hell of a lot more non-RMT than RMT, and buying Autumnstones which are in high demand and low supply and are more often than not being peddled by RMT.

Kinda funny that I'm not the only one who's posted here who opposes the purchasing of Autumnstones yet you're singling me out. Why is that again? Do I even know you? Why would you be stalking my AH purchases anyway? I mean feel free... nothing there I'm afraid of, but really are you that bored?

point is you bought an RMT sold item, if you knew that you bought the sole sushi off rmt, what would you do? kill yourself? curse yourself? call yourself a good for nothing rmt supporter? wait, i'll answer for you, "i'll just go on about life and who gives a fuck?"

in the same sense it's still purchasing off an RMT. so now you're telling me if ulli stone was AHable, you would be able to buy it guilt free? it's been stated before and also ignored. Oh but not knowing it's from NON-RMT or RMT and taking a chance would be ok, right? Yes, and we know sushi is in high demand and are being bought by the hundreds daily, well if you've read kaizens post, they've bought about 10 out of 700+ a year from what looks like just about anyone. Lets see here, the high demand and low supply of autumnstone surely add up to the 10 accounted for. 10 out of 700 a year, I'm sure those could belong to NA players. They already said 3 or so were from a trusted jp players. Could the same be said for kaizen? taking the chance of buying only 7 out of 700 stones? hoping that those 7 are from non rmt and if not, well who would monitor? I mean 7 out of 700 is not hard to believe that they are being sold by NA or JP players around the server. I'm pretty sure more than 7+ were sold by random legit players, leaving out the 3 accounted for.

wow your logic and argument fails, simply coming in and saying, by buying autumnstones is bad yet anything from AH is ok because we took a chance and non-rmt sell them too, well it's been proven that non-rmt can sell ullistones as well. Knowing RMT own the kotes circulation and majority of the sales coming from RMT, or ones sold by other palyers who bought from the AH from RMT before that, would you never buy kotes? knowing the chance of it being an RMT owned kotes.....

thought so

hey i've bought kotes from large for 70k before, his mistake my gain but i still bought from an RMT. Oh and flypanda once listed a serket ring in his bazaar for 200k that i bought up as soon as i saw it pop into my screen. I've no regret for buying those items from them. If you saw those items for that price on an rmt bazaar, wouldnt you have bought it? Yeah well i'm not saying it's ok to walk up and buy an ulli stone off an RMT, but if i could get a good deal on a stone, from anyone i see and taking the chance that it's not an RMT, and make more killing byakko i probably would buy a stone.

i'm not trying to attack you but i'm trying to get the point across, why attack me with such violence and insult? Come back with a intellectual comment please.

The only reason many people are agreeing in this thread (I feel at least) is not because its Kaizen... it's because logically it makes SENSE.

Why not use your LS bank money from other endeavours to fund Autumnstones? It gets the long time LS's out of sky faster and you keep out of the way of all the hard working rookie LS's that should be experiencing the rough and tumble parts of Sky that all the veteran LSs have been doing for years.

Personally I hope my LS starts buying stones, and idc where they come from.

It's really just a trade off... either your LS wants money from god drops (usually the new LS's) so they camp Ulli due to not being able to afford stones, or you care more about the gear (the LS's running sky for years and got their priorities straight) and use the money drops to buy your stones from whoever is selling em.

The Bottom line is Autumnstones are non saleable on the AH. So comparing it to anything on the AH is stupid. When you buy from the bazaar you can see EXACTLY who you are buying from. Isn't it your obligation considering it is a HEAVYLY camped RMT mob to find out whose level 1 mule is out there in Bastilla Downs? How hard is it to send a /tell? On the AH you can only see who you bought from only after the sale in which case it is too late. So because RMT use the AH we don't use that either? Obviously not, but non saleable items at least we CAN see who we buy from and we CAN take 5 mins to say in /linkshell, "Hey, anyone ever heard of Peterli or Leave? They have autumnstones out here for sale."

There's absolutely nothing wrong with buying autumnstones. But at least know who your buying from or just don't buy them. RMT hurt us all.

Uh, Autumnstones aren't EX. Just Rare. Theres a good bunch of items that aren't auctionable that are still tradable. If it were EX you wouldn't even be able to bazaar/trade it.

They're actually not Ex, they're rare and you can't sell them on the AH. If you could AH it, it would be exactly the same as buying anything that is RMT dominated. There's no obligation to ask where someone got a O. kote or fumas, there's no obligation to ask where anyone got anything. Do you buy something off the AH, look at the listing and send a /tell to the person asking if they're a gil seller; and if they say yes, do you try to get a refund? No one does either of those, people just want to hide behind the anonymity of the AH and say their better than someone who buys from an unknown bazaar.

I already changed to "non saleable". Either way you know what I meant!

My point is you have NO control over the AH. You DO have control over whose bazaar you by from. Pleading ignorance is not an excuse.

Ignorance isn't an excuse for the AH either, you know what items are RMT dominated; you know that you are in all likelihood buying one from an RMT. Unless you know someone who knows every single mule and who they belong too, you can't seriously blame someone for buying from a legitimate sounding bazaar. If it's named like they smashed their hand(or other body parts) on the keyboard, then yeah, it's probably a gil seller.

It's already been shown that legit players sell the stone, so unless you know all the gil seller mules and actually tell someone, there's nothing wrong with buying from a bazaar. Unless there is an actual reason they might be a gil seller besides there's just an ulli stone in their bazaar, there's no proof they're RMT. You don't mind buying from RMT, you just want to use the AH since that's the accepted form of "supporting RMT."

Let me use a good example...

3 People have O. Kotes for sale on the AH. Bajaratt, Peterli, and Leave. I don't know whose selling them but based on what's up on the AH I have a 1/3 chance of buying from a non-RMT.

Now 3 people in Bastilla Downs have Autumnstomes for sale. Again Bajaratt, Peterli, and Leave. Who am I going to buy from? Obviously Bajarett and in this case I had a 100% chance of buying from non-RMT.

That's what I mean.. control vs no control. You can't use the AH as an excuse if you have no control over it.

The big flaw with your example here is that we're using our main accounts to bazaar the stone. If we all use mules, as most people do, then you have no idea who the mule belongs to and it becomes even more randomized than at the AH.

The AH is based on who listed for the lowest price sells first, so assuming I undercut the gil sellers, you'll get mine, otherwise you get a gil seller kote. There's nothing random about it, it's only based on the price we listed it at. If there's 3 bazaars, let's call them muleA, muleB, muleC for all the importance their name is(assuming it's not random letters or something retarded like that) only then do you have a 1/3 chance of not picking the gil seller. At that point no one should expect you to know the identity of the mule's owner, and that's what's going on here.

Theroetically, in an alternate reality you may not be able to see the names of your own linkshell members. Therefore it should be alright to be shellmates with gilsellers. So by that same logic it's cool to pretend as if Autumnstones are the same as items bought on the AH because in another world they could be.

I understand how the AH works. When you don't know whose undercutting who in the AH and whose selling what then yes it is pretty random. And if you don't know who muleA muleB or muleC is then maybe you shouldn't buy from any of them. There's plenty of legitimate bazaars out there. If you don't even try to establish some /anon's identity then really, why not go directly to the RMT? Because you don't care either way who your buying from.

Very few people are opposing the idea itself of buying the trigger. I personally don't see anything wrong with such a transaction between REAL PLAYERS.

Where most take up issues is the fact that it is an item where the RMT dominates the market. It's pretty clear from what people are posting that these autumnstone-buying LSs aren't taking much care to investigate whether the sellers are RMT or not.

And I say, if that's the case, fine. Keep buying. But don't fucking play dumb and pretend you have no clue where it came from. Unless you conscientiously look for non-RMT sellers, you are MORE LIKELY THAN NOT feeding the RMTs.

As long as you buy indiscriminately, you *will* face accusations. If you don't want that, there's a simple solution. Get it yourself. But if you consider it a "waste of time", then the hidden tax on that 6M or whatever you pay for that autumnstone is the scorn and contempt of the people who are opposed to RMT. If that doesn't matter to you, go empty out batallia of all autumnstones to your heart's content.

In the end, it comes down to this: You have the option to save time, or face. Take your pick. It looks to me like you can't have both though.

The same logic can be applied to buying things off the AH. You don't know who they are, you know they're most likely RMT, why not just go to them directly? The AH just lets you go "oops, I had no idea I would buy from RMT," and no one bitches about it. Buying from a random bazaar without an obvious RMT name is the exact same thing, just you can see a name beforehand. If there's no evidence who the owner of the mule is, though, there's nothing wrong with buying from them.
