Half of you would be so lucky as to be retarded. But you're not. You're just functional and dumb. You can't get by just calling people subaverage, because that would put them on your level and you can't have that. So you call them retarded--the only intellectual inferior your mediocre ass has.

Chances are, though, that a retarded kid will go through life happier than you will. You have to be smart enough to realize that internet numbers and muscles don't amount to anything, otherwise you have to be dumb enough not to care. But then there's you. If half of you took time to read some of Pere's posts, you would see he can often times, more than not, make many valid points that many of just brush off because he is Peregrine. So I may not agree with the fanboy junk, but many of his posts have some sort of intelligence behind it.

I totally agree with Peregrine on this. Using the term 'retarded' as an insult is pretty pathetic. My mother is a Special Education teacher, and I have helped her out on many occassions with her students, and most of them are the sweetest kids. To compare someone who you don't agree with as retarded with children who actually do have some form of a mental handicap is deplorable.
 
You know, this word is quite comparable to other words discussed on the boards here. (In quite difference contexts of course.)

The use of 'gay' as an exclamation.
The use of n word as salutation.
The use of 'retard' can join this list of politically incorrect but socially acceptable terms.

I think people should use whatever they want. Their word choice extends to me substantial opportunity to get a feel for their level of... intelligence.

You have a valid point. Simply put you know damn well no one here gives a shit to hear it yet you come anyway. For attention from what you can only degrade at every level and at every opportunity. In short that's great that you're showing a softer side and calling out dipshits for using 'retard' as a slur, really it is, but with your track record claiming moral or intellectual superiority while denouncing people who do so over the internet is about as dumb as it gets.

Let's not enter in the fact that intelligent people seeking conversation don't come busting in all hot to trot calling names and slinging bullshit at everyone with a sense of humor. The only difference between you and the average FB placeholder is the placement of the punchline; whereas we sling them out, you're simply one all the time.

Funny thing about forum trash, no one thinks they're it.
