Tally = Forces of Altana Owned

You're kidding surely? I haven't been on a campaign since the update so I fear to witness what you said.

It's true they are a complete waste now except for the raise 1's.

speculation it has npc healing capacity has to do on how many areas you own since we own little supples and training are less in there are forces are weaker.

yeah thats expected and makes perfect sense, however making them weak to the point of only tier 1 spells is a little excessive, especially after the beastmen buff, as well as adding stygian ash to pixies

noticed that NPC healers also became utterly useless this week
last week they were tossing me cure IV's, and pro IV and shell III
this week they deleved to like.. lvl 10.. all i get are shell1 protect1 and cure1 for 32 hp
at least they still throw out some R1's tho

Maybe they're out of MP, and Red Mages need to throw them a fucking Refresh instead of meleeing in Campaign Battles.

(the above was a joke, if you cannot tell by looking)

I've never gotten any more than 900 or so exp from a Campaign battle when I do normal WHM healing (NPC and PC) and raising. I did get over 1k as BLM when I timed a spell for the killing strike. SE got it all wrong. Rewarding the DD's with over 1.4k exp for Campaign and screwing the support jobs.
I went as 75 Whm to a campiagn healed everyone I could, gave out Protect's and shells and hastes to players and npc's alike, I even Banishe'd a few mobs, I got 970 exp.

Went as Blm nuked and slept and did some healing, rested and repeated, got about 800 exp.

Went as Blm and took my Perdu sickle and some DD gear meleed and nuked (and its funny throwing a Burst II from the front lines on a mob, its like they dont see it lol) did a little curing when I could too, ended up with 1970 exp.

Everytime I go as Rdm I melee and cure, I use the drop down menu to haste monks and sams' and cure fellow melees damaged, I even raise fallen bodies this way while meleeing and keeping my stoneskin up. I frequently get 2000-3500 and once got 4500, (mind you that was a long one and 2400 was in first evaluation, rest was at battles finish)

Any melee jobs I tend to sub Whm, post lv 66 main job I get Reraise, Erase, and Stoneskin, three spells in my view are very handy when soloing campiagn.

I cure npc's as well, I usually give the name ones first priority, yes they do seem to have a lot of hit points and Curing them can be quite draining to any mages, but they are tougher than us and we stand a better chance overall of winning with as many of them about to help us as possible.
I did enjoy laying dead in Bastok Markets today while a 60+ Scholar and her friend just buff themselves right on top of me with tags on...
I'm curious, just how much exp does someone get only singing all battle. Is bard skills unlimited exp?

When i go as corsair to Campaign I get a good amount of exp by just buffing, TerribleOne...

Usually in the 1.4k-2k range on average. The other day I got like 2.2k on corsair, cashed out and got another 1k after rejoining.

I did do some elemental shots to debuff the mobs Dark Shot.

I guess it's all repetition.

Here's the EXP breakdown for all that you do in Campaign.

That's an awesome quote in your sig lol.

I go PLD/WHM whenever I head to campaign. You can buff, debuff, have a great survivability, cure your own debuffs, and most importantly: Free Reraise.

I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere before, but be nice because I haven't hardly played game in the last 6 months lol. What skill level do you have to be to be able to hit campaign mobs with a reasonable level of accuracy?

When I go out as BLM/WHM I just do a little of everything. I used to nukaga, sleepaga, and run; but I was only getting 800ish a fight. Now, I melee, try to close skillchains, debuf, enfeeb, buff others, heal, raise, and nuke and I usually take home about 1800+

I woulden't mind hitting the 3-4k range though. That'd make merits easy.

use to be able to melee fine @ 55, but seems that mobs have been buffed in level, maybe 6x now

I'm not too sure what the actual skill level rating is off hand, but job lv. wise I remember tackling these guys around 50-60 and being able to hit fine. I was fighting Quadavs.

Then again I was on DNC, and they generally have Accuracy Bonus.
The only problem though was my damage output; so I stuck with fortifications.

With the revamped mobs now, perhaps hitting is still not a issue, but damage is.
What job were you thinking of campaigning with? =)

Also, as a heads up, I've heard that jobs of lv.50 and lower get EXP cut.
Or maybe it was 60 and lower. I forget. But every little adds up in the long run, and it sure beats seeking for parties and not having nada to do. :-)

As per my FB post on the subject, it still stands.

See, that's the thing I will never even begin to comprehend about Campaign. Everyone has this solo attitude, when it's a GROUP EFFORT. Not five minutes ago I was tanking Vee Qiqa in Meriph (The yagudo with the stupid little elementals) on SAM for about 4 straight minutes. Aside from Sweep, I was the only one being attacked. Now, next to me are two WHMs with clubs just bashing away at it, while I'm pretty much slowly dying. After I die, the stupid thing goes all over the place and starts murdering people left and right.
Now, is that being a team? I was sitting there specifically just tanking it to keep it in one spot, so it can actually die and not take as many people out as possible, you know? Now, the confusing part is: Isn't it in a mage's best interests to heal people who have NM attention in two ways? One being that they get EXP, and two being that it prevents themselves from dying also, if the people who have hate die.
I don't hate mages, mind you. Some of them actually do their job, but the ones who just sit there and auto-attack with SS/blink up just really piss me off. Same thing with the BRDs/CORs/SCHs who sit there the whole time, get buff cap, turn in tags and get new ones the whole time.

This is the gripe that a lot of us share especially when trying to do our part in a Campaign battle. I've had that happen to me in Rolanberry and Pashow where the healers didn't want to help. As a result, I take a bump and most of them die.

Then the other mage tries to run away and dies in front of another group.
Then the fun begins because while I wait for a raise, if RR was not available, within my view I can see trains of mobs wipe out the field.

It sucks, but when the wipe happens I can't help but to laugh.

I also don't have anything against mages who melee and heal for more EXP yield in Campaign. Hey if you can multi-task and kick some serious arse, go for it. In the end, you'll be heavily rewarded. :-)

But like Flag said, some players seem to have a solo attitude when doing campaign when its supposed to be group effort. Because of that, all these kind of little mishaps occur.

I don't think the actual mobs are any more difficult than before. They just come in more waves and alot sooner than usual. I hit just fine and damage seems to be the same. This is for a 75 job though so acc shouldn't be a problem but tanking them doesn't seem different at all.

Hey speaking of which... did all the other Campaign Ops in Bastok clear on Sunday, or did that happen yesterday?

It seems everything is Resource Procurement.

Well in the past I'd just go on blm or rdm and cure, buff, raise and nuke. However, I've noticed that when I go at the same time as my bf when he is on drk, he usually nets a significant amount of xp more than I do for the same amount of time spent, even if I stay busy the whole time. So I thought it might net me more xp if (like Jeska mentioned before) I melee while nuking/curing/etc. ;)

Just trying to figure out how high I'd need to get my staff/scythe skill on blm or staff/sword skill on rdm to make it worth it hehe.

cuz bastok is @ 0/300 resources~, missions available depends on cities current state and missions done by others.

mobs have definitely been buffed, vuud vangaurds use to hit me for about 70~ when they managed to land hits (on dnc), even tho they were THFS i didnt have much trouble and could usually handle 2. Last time they hit me for 140~ and i was fighting a losing battle against 1 of em, my WS's seem to be doing less too, bout 100 dmg lower.

Just trying to figure out how high I'd need to get my staff/scythe skill on blm or staff/sword skill on rdm to make it worth it hehe.

Here's my gauge: 75 DRK with 282 Scythe, I hit nearly 100% of the time on normal mobs, about 90% on the NMs.

63 BLM with capped scythe (180s?) - I rarely hit unless I pile on the acc+ gear (a Black Mage with Woodsman+Venerer looks funny), and when I do hit, my Ivory Sickle does maybe 30 or so dmg to the mobs.

So you're saying my level 50ish scythe skill isn't going to get me extra exp???

/sigh...guess I'll stay in the back, nuking and running away from things. (Edit: Until I get my scythe skill skilled up a ton...meaning probably forever) :(
