Too many Nintendo fanboys in this thread. Nintendo has not had a good controller/system since Super NES.
Uhm...The PS2 controller is the super nintendo controller with akwardly placed dual analogue and 2 more shoulder buttons.
The Xbox controller had to be completely re-vamped before people would give it the time of day.
And frankly the only complaint I've heard about the Gamecube controller is it's too small. I don't have this problem because I have small hands.
Nintendo's controllers have brought you the D-pad, analogue, shoulder buttons, rumble, wireless....I'm not really seeing how they havn't come out with a "good controller since the super nes."
I'll be getting a PS3 and a revolution. PS3 for their awesome in-house development team and absolutely overwhealming number of games and a Revolution for its' once again incredible in-house development team and for something fresh and new.
I think the people who are complaining that it's a Nintendo controller havn't bothered actually reading the functionality with the motion/distance sensor included. Wired said playing Metroid Prime 2 was incredible with the new controller. Also I dont want to really hear any complaining about Nintendo staying with tried and true franchises on this board, considering it's a board based around a series that has over 15 titles....
Fear change all you want, games have been doing the same thing for the last 20 years and it's nice to see someone finally push the boarders of what you can do on a console...low and behold it's nintendo again. Even if this thing fails (which I really don't see happening) at least they had the balls and imagination to try...
