Well after all the previews i waited for this game for awhile.
its quite a bit different than i expect.
its more like a fight club sorta thing with guns and an arcade score mode.
Think house of the dead with being able to control where your character runs and being able to look around like an FPS, this is third person shooter though.
Your in a club that requires you to perform deadly tasks in a little game conducted by the secretary.
you run through different areas with different goals in mind playing as one of many characters.
Such goals as running through an area capping guys and collecting enough points to meet the goal score and surviving till you reach the exit.
each k ill takes your multiplier up but if you wait too long in between kills your multiplier will begin to bleed out.
Multipliers are also based on your type of kill, headshots, distance, wall penetration, crackshot distance. there are also skull shots, little caution signs you can shoot to boost your multiplier.
you get points for stylish kills as well.
there is a race mode too where you must run a certain amount of laps around an area while taking guys out and surviving, this is called the Gauntlet run.
Theres a mode where you are injected with explosives and you must survive the onslaught until time runs out, if you cross over a white line you have 5 seconds to get back out or youll blow up.
Its quite a different game, it takes some getting used to because its unlike anything ive ever played.
The shooting is a bit confusing at first because of weapon switches and stuff but youll start to pick up on it, you can customize your crosshair color and filter between several types of weapons, you get a sprint to run between your kills.
i have not played too much as it gets pretty damn hard as time goes on, ive completed the first tournament area of the factory and it was fun, but in small bursts.
its cool to hear the unreal tournament voice yell HEADSHOT! CRACKSHOT! GOOD SHOT! they treat it like a shooter fighting game.
I would say its a rent first, but i like it enough to buy it. Im sure the online is alot of fun too but i have not tried it yet.
