It was kinda just bad timing from what I've read (skimmed, haven't read it from the start so I apologize if I missed anything). If that Briault had dropped then next week the shell decided to reform, the only thing running though your head probably would've been "Goddamn I'm lucky to have got my Briault" and you probably would've declared a new main with Encore just like the people 5/5 that you're accusing of lot changing in the new shell.
It's just a run of bad luck and bad timing. It happens though. Hopefully Encores rules will be more accomadating of new and old. Don't be afraid of revisions when a problem is found. Whenever we had a problem we took all leaders and brainstormed a fix, drafted it, voted on it among the leaders, presented it to the shell, let them talk about it and eventually change it or alter the decided fix to the shells problems and move from there.
It is seriously hard to please all members of a Dynamis shell. If you cater to the long time members, you use the new members as a means to benefit the old members, ultimately screwing them over. The rules you make have to take into consideration all tiers of lotting. Give the new members some, give the old members some, but don't try to outcast the new members in favor of old. While old members are deserving of their piece for their time put into the shell, the new members support that piece even dropping. To outcast them from a chance at lotting it is a bit selfish. If what Willian said earlier is true and after 20 runs in TDS you still couldn't lot a piece in a town, then there is a serious flaw in the system and a rennovation was probably way overdue.
