And you didn't stand to gain as much from me helping with CoP? Notice, everytime I have ever recieved helped from you, you stood to gain something out of it. Static party - you could get 75, but once you got that, you and Lucy left. LS events - Swift Belt, both got one, I didn't get to even pop. Did Dune Boots NM for you although unsuccessfully. Never even once camped a NM for me after I had been asking for help for months. Merit parties - I would get invited only to be forgotten and replaced every time. But since you're so great, name one time I actually recieved some form of help from you where you didn't stand to benefit or didn't leave once you got everything you needed from it?

Aud has everything he needs to get fully upgraded relic. He has his attestation. He has the shard. All he's missing is the coins, and I'm sure with 100+3 leather he could get those just fine, Dynamis or no. So why did he start Encore?

To be honest, if he's getting shat on when the shell is only a week old, I don't know why he would want that. All I do know is that I'm grateful he stepped up and gave me a lifeboat to get off the sinking HMS DynamisShow. I couldn't care less about how my gear acquisition has changed with the new lotting rules. Maybe it's better, maybe it's worse, time will tell. All I know is that a lot of people put a lot of effort into trying to find a way to fix TDS, and everything got shot down in committee. Everyone had a voice in TDS, and noone could agree, so nothing got done. So Aud bailed and made a new shell, with his own rules; rules that if he had proposed to TDS would have been bogged down for months in debates while the shell gasped for its last breaths, and attendance dropped to less than a full alliance.

Eight thousand gil. It's such a measly amount, it's easy to look down on the leader of a linkshell because of that. I mean, how hard is it to get 8k? Anyone can lead a linkshell, so why should someone who ponied up 8k have more of a voice than anyone else? But the linkshell takes more than 8k to get started. Aud was willing to pay the price to give us former TDS people a home- a price which is so clearly illustrated by this thread. In exchange, we had to give up everything that was TDS and follow his rules. His shell, his rules- that's how it's always been in AG, and we've prospered. He may be a dictator, but he's a benevolent one. :nyam:

Wasn't going to mention this but since you brought it up, with your unique slant on it, oh well. Regarding your time with Seashell, you're full of shit and you know it. Here's how it went:

One day after a maintainance, someone decides it'd be a good idea to camp King Arthro. This was a one time thing, Seashell was, and never planned on being a HNM shell, regardless of what you say. Anyway, so as ppl log on, those that felt like it, came to the pop area. I was then told that myself and another nin, who had only been in the shell for about 2 weeks was going to lot the belt if we got claim and it dropped. I said fuck no, i was not going to lot a cash item that at the time was worth over 70mil. It wouldn't have been fair to the rest that showed up. We weren't a HNM shell, we wouldn't be camping KA all the time, so it was unfair. Either way it didn't matter, cause we didn't get claim. Should be the end of the story right? Turns out this was supposedly Lavi's idea to drum up interest in doing HNM's regularly.

Meanwhile, Lavi had already put his mule in Monastic Cavern to get TOD on Overlord. He wanted the LS to camp it so he could get Juggernaut for his then lvl 60 war. So he proceeds to try to work out a deal with one of the shell leaders, to which he was told that if ppl would help him, then go for it. However, this was not good enough. He wanted leaders to force members to camp it, order them to camp it when this was not an HNM shell. When he threw his temper tantrum in ls chat, we heard many of the same things as this post, about putting in his time, no one giving a shit about him, etc etc. He couldn't seem to grasp that it sounded somewhat selfish for a shell to force it's members to camp an NM to get him a cash item, which at the time was around 25mil if i remember, all for his underlevelled war. You can go ahead and draw your own conclusions from this, the connection between trying to get ppl to camp KA so someone could get speed belt so it could be thrown back as a reason to get a juggy seems kind of suspicious to me though. Next time you bring something up, try giving out all the info, not just the stuff that makes you look like a victim.

edit in: Before you bother wasting your time hitting the Submit Reply button to say that this is not how it happened, go ahead and find one single person that will backup your "version" of things. That shell disbanded a long time ago, and it's members spread out in many different shells, a couple don't play the game anymore, some don't even like each other anymore. This would make it so there would be no reason for anyone to lie about it or try to cover for anyone due to being partial to one side or the other.

Your memory is really fuzzy about that run. The things you're leaving out:

-It wasn't inviting strangers, it was friends of ls members, and Myi wasn't the one inviting them. Most of them were in a limbus shell with a few of us, one of them was Klank, and a couple others were friends of other people. People were allowed to bring friends to the runs, half our optical hats went to people that weren't in the shell.

-Klank wasn't there for the entire run helping out, he came in almost 2 hours late, was afk for most of the time he was there, and didn't have enough fomor hate to pop a NM when it was his turn. He was one of the last two with codex (I was the other one) and he ended up having Ish pop for him, and got his belt.

-The issue with Klank wasn't from the swift belt run, it was from two weeks before at our HKTK run (where again he was a "stranger" not in the ls) With 4 hats left, including his, a few people said it was their last one because they had something else to do, I think they had sky farming or gods. He lost the random for that go, and he asked for a D2 because he wasn't going to get his. We explained that we could still do the fight without those that were leaving, and proceeded to take down the last 3 HKTK (including his) with 10-12 people or so.

-Myi never got a swift belt, she didn't want one.

We set times for static around everyone's schedules, and you were sitting in Maze camping Argus with Kea most of our parties after we hit 70. You act like you were the one being screwed over, when we were losing half an hour or more out of the 2-3 hours of partying trying to find your replacement because you would rather be sitting there waiting on Argus to pop.

We were talking about continuing the party for merits, but Kireek vanished and it was impossible to find a time that you were online and not doing something with Kea.

Edit: Lavi, you had some decent points about the leads letting the problems perpetuate in TDS, but all this other shit has basically lost this thread for you, and your posts are becoming more and more irrational.
 
Re: the SeaShell situation. Soujiro summed it up rather nicely I think. My response at the time was pretty much: "How much is that worth? And you want me to just hand it to you? Um... I'll gladly camp it and split the gil with you to help you along your path, but if you think I'm going to agree to just hand that item to you you're a little warped".

I maintain that you are still a little warped.

Re: TDS and changing the lotting system. All those "fixes" you proposed were brought up. More than once, most of them. We did, in fact, HAVE tiers already splitting the original crew from the later recruits, a system that cost us rather a lot of new members. What's the point of showing up for anything if you can't lot at all in the cities until the original crew is done with it, and you can't lot in northlands because your attendance is too low?

The only way to save the Show in the long run would have been to do pretty much what Encore has done, namely to rework the system in some fashion.

I still say that if that change had occurred after you got your 5/5, you wouldn't give two shits what happened to any of the other original members that did NOT have their 5/5.

I honestly doubt your upset that you didnt get the #5 item, your upset cause you will now have to put in more effort to get it and there is no guarantee.... Dynamis isnt Futreshop.

I think the best part about this thread is, that its a dynamis topic, and its still on topic after all these pages. A month ago it would have been derailed by Peregrine around page 4, and gone 20 pages before anyone knew what the heck was happening.

But i mean really. If Encore is the 90% the same shell as TDS, why not just keep the old attendance records for whatever new priority system you implemented? Its not that hard to do.

The past lotting system was old and broken. It would have been convenient to keep our records, but hardly worth the trouble.

Ever heard the expression "Do what you've always done...get what you've always gotten"? It seems to me that TDS was falling apart at the seams. I applaud the leaders of Encore for taking the reigns and creating something viable. Their setup doesn't suit everyone...heck...not my cup of tea. Nonetheless, you act as if this was something done personally TO YOU. Are you so full of yourself as to think the world revolves around what you do or do not have? A leader has to think of the group as a whole...there is no way to please everyone...seems to me Encore has found a niche that is working for them.

Again..find some perspective. If you need help...think back to 2004 when United screwed their employees by basically halting their pension payments. Now THAT is something worth bitching over. You have only made yourself look like a total greedy asshole by continuing with your whining.

Sorry Lavi, let me cancel my travel plans and stop going to my business meetings in real life so you can have a Dynamis shell to get gear. Only way this was gonna work was to support the people that have led TDS in my absence. They needed to start from scratch so they can enforce their own rules and recruit the people they want. I am not sure if I am ever going to play FFXI again with my current real life agenda so why should Audino and Myihta run a shell with my name attached to it and rules that were implemented when everyone was 0/5 instead of 4/5 and 5/5 on relic. You are acting very childish and greedy.
 
Willian, when I joined the Dynamis show back in May I was in the same boat as you, stuck in a Tier system destined to never actually get a chance to lot any main relic. Well 7 months later and after a few drops I was up for both Body and feet... which never dropped .. end of Story I went 7 months and got NOTHING from the time I spent lol. C'est La Vie. I basically do like always just start from scratch.. its been 2 years now im still 2/5 lol. talk about a stream of bad luck.
Anyways, I never gave a formal goodbye to TDS members. Thank you for the good times, tho I complained I enjoyed working together Grats to those that did recieve Af, and yes you to Lavi. I wish you all the best of luck in Encore. I will be with my God LS's Dynamis once a week (which has been great on my school schedule so far)

Both wrong. Klank showed up before we started killing mobs; however, he couldn't join the alliance since we had 20 people already there. He was a NIN and couldn't exactly do anything from outside the alliance. When people finally started leaving and there was room for him in the alliance, he came from the entrance with the help of Ishaela who had been asking if she could go pick him up from the very beginning, but much like everything else said that day, you ignored.

Once he came to the alliance, do you remember who helped tank? Yah, it was Klank, but leave that part out, it helps you. Since he DID help the run progress, I think he deserved to pop. He was a friend of mine and Ishaela's so I think you could have shown a little respect for that fact. I know I didn't like several of the idiots you invited, but I don't remember you suggesting they shouldn't lot for that reason, so why should you do it to my friend?


As far as the static party was concerned, maybe you were out of the loop and didn't know, it's very possible since I rarely ever sent you tells if I could avoid it. Everytime I ever camped inside the maze, I was only there to get a ToD; however, I was afk the ENTIRE time and I had notified either Al, Tom, Ayeka, or Myi. I wasn't playing because I had a test to take during static times or I had a project to due. It was a busy time for me and I couldn't always make it. I never once skipped static to do anything in game, EVER. Don't lie or don't presume I did when I know I didn't. But go ahead, blame me for not showing up to the static, I was there the last day in Sky with Al and Tom waiting, where the hell were the three of you? Oh, that's right, you got 75 and didn't need to be there. Not once after did you even attempt to make up for it either, just blamed me.

Seems, I'm not the only one with fuzzy memory...

You had a tier system for cities? And it took 7 months to be able to bid? In a fucking city? lolol...no wonder this shell tanked. Sounds like the only thing that held the shell together was its skilled members. Hope you guys worked that shit out in encore.
