The Next Expansion

I haven't even touched the first expansion.....

I'd have to quit work, and live off of gov cheese to get anywhere close to "completing" this game.

I heard that the new expansion will be called Waters Of Oblivion, and this time there will be new jobs. :)

Geomancer and Blue Mage.

Or so the rumors say. They say "they are supposed to add...Geomancer and Blue Mage".
 
I'd say Blue mage is 90%, Geomancer is 50% at this point. So many people are rooting for these jobs, and they really would add a lot to the game. Especailly if they fill some sort of "support" role.

And, please to the OP, ONE large pic per sig please, those are too much together.
 
Lol the Waters of Oblivion are in Ranguemont Pass. Never knew their purpose though.

I've heard of the blue mage rumors, but I have also heard rumors saying that they might add a third string of ninjitsu. I would imagine it would be "ninjitsu name": Son... if it follows the pattern, that would be so cool, but I'm not sure if it's true :?
 
i think they might add one support job and one tanking job, so i dont know about two support jobs. Im thinking bluemage for sure.

Seems to be plenty of DD's so support and tank are my guess :D
 
one of my friends heard a rumor that this next expansion is supposed to make samurai a more tankable job. idk how exactly SE plans on accomplishing this, since sam has become a DD, but it might be cool to see how they're doing this. once again, this is just a rumor i heard.
 
i think SAM would be a good tank. its job is based around honor and whatnot, so same as PLD, it is like "i must save people" can really explain details but i could see the possiblity.
 
Well, WAR can play tank, and I'm not talking about WAR/NIN.

WAR/MNK with Koenig armor is a real good PLD alternative.
 
Turning thrid eye into three shadows would be pretty sweet :P BTW Sam does have some decent tanking abliies, lik B (+?) evasion, an A+ parry...but shitty def >.> Shit i end up tanking in most exp pts any way so some better tanking traits would be tight :P As for new jobs...blue mage has definitely been the most rumored one...but everyone was expecting that with CoP, so ill wait until SE confirms it to get excited >.< And nin is powerful as it is, i dont see them giving it anymore power unless they have another round of gimping, since the last one just exposed the cheap ass nins.

And I would love a Geomancer...sounds like it would be very fun if they do it right
 
Could someone explain what a Geomancer is/would involve?
 
A geomancer uses the land he are on as his weapon. They will attack with water if your in a stream or something, earth attacks if your on hard ground, probably some type of grass attack if your in grass, sand attack on the beach, and so on.
 
If they add another string of ninjitsu, Ninja's will be waaaay too good at tanking and debuffing the mobs. Hell, they're damn good now. Let alone increasing them by 1/3rd.
 
I don't think there is enough variation in enviroments at most camps to be effective at Geomancer. Most camps only have one, maybe two different areas at most, so your attacks would be kind of limited.
 
Blue Mage = Beastmaster.

Geomancer = Blackmage.

Stop with these horrible rumors about such mediorce jobs. I hate to sound so bitter, but can you guys seriously think of any better BS rumors? I am almost so fed up with this, almost compared to the BS rumor of Aeries from FF7...

If they added any new jobs, witch SE announced public that they have no plans to add any time soon, or in the next expansion, it should be something with a more "Futuristic" touch.

Oh and the comment about SAMs being "Honorable" and "I must protect so and so..." is utter BS. SAMs were nowhere as nice as PLDs were. SAMs were warriors who only sought to destroy the emeny and there only Honor was to die in battle.

SAMs used to be tanks back in the days before RoZ. (Take notice of AF)

This same BS was said before CoP came out. "Add bluemage! Add Geomancer! Come on!! omfgz it would be so pointless and shitty!"

Ya know instead of Geomancer, why not Necromancer? If you're going to feed into or start some BS rumor at least make it look cool.

I think I'm going on a rant now...

God I f-ing hate rumors.
