THE OFFICIAL 2009 FOOTBALL SEASON SMACK TALKING THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm disappointed obviously. Looks like my Beloved New Orleans Saints are back.

After going up 17-0...early on, what happened? Damn our guys just looked awful after that. Our defense has to find itself again, or we're one and done.

Oh and pulling Manning and the starters like that was stupid. Those players wanted to play, and a chance to go undefeated is rare. That might come back to hurt them.

Its always a lose lose for the coach, unless they win the super bowl.

If they dont win it, the coach looks stupid for resting and killing their momentum, if they go 16-0 and lose, the coach looks stupid for not resting their players. It will always be the wrong call unless they win it all.

Well their is no correlation with resting players and that team winning the Superbowl, especially the last 15 years. Teams that play out the regular season has actually won the SB more.

I mainly said it because the players looked downright distraught on the sideline. They were barely winning when pulled (1 pt). Manning is the least hit QB since he's been in the league, the guy just doesn't take hits. He's never missed a game. They wanted it, and now they probably won't play next week either for more then 1QT. Losing two straight going into the playoffs is bad (Colts should know, they rest players more then any other franchise the last ten years and have gone one and done 5 times)

What a game last night. Who would have thought the Bears had a chance? Fucking awesome.

I had a feeling the Bears were going to come out on top when Minnesota lost to the Panthers lol.

I really enjoyed watching the panthers stomp the giants.

Man eli sucks, that one play where he ran it about 10 yards then fumbled it. I've never seen a more confused quarterback. the boo's were hilarious.

I enjoyed the fact that they lost, but not so much watching it. It was really sad and kinda boring lol. But then again, they got a taste of their own medicine since they just smashed the Skins' in Washington.

I don't think Eli sucks. He's good, just not this year.

EDIT: Also, did anyone else hear that there may not be football in 2011 or am I late?

Google it. I heard it on ESPN so that's why I even believe it. But apparently there's some problems with NFL owners and yada yada so we may not have football for one year.

Yes their could be a work stoppage in the 2011 NFL season. This Labor Agreement is really getting heated. Communication has been a problem. Owners aren't moving and players aren't moving. Owners want more money and players want more money, so which will break first?

Funny thing is, the NFL has never ever made as much as money as now. If the two sides work out anything, it needs to be a ROOKIE CAP. Paying a rookie 45 million guaranteed is the most ridiculous thing ever. Owners don't won't to pay it, and veteran players don't won't rookies to have it. SO GET IT DONE!

As someone else said, I'm already annoyed that there won't be any football in February after the Super Bowl and that's because the season is over. And now there's a possibility of no football for a whole year?

I hate to see this shit in any sport. These guys need to remember they are being paid millions of dollers a year to play A GAME.

Granted they put their bodies threw alot, but there plenty of people out there who put their bodies threw alot more for a much better cause. and don't get paid a FRACTION of what these guys are making.

Besides, the true football greats, the guys I REALLY respect, love playing so much they would be out their on the field every sunday, even if they weren't making a dime off it.

What happened in 1996 again? Last time the Cowboys won a playoff game? I thought that was January 9th, 2010?

Very satisfied with how the Cowboys are playing as of now. I'm still fuzzy on the Jets win though lol.

The Cowboys played well and i am really not trying to take it away from them... But jeez the Eagles suck so bad. Like really bad.

Philly won't win a ring until they replace McNabb. Great player when chips are up but sucks when the pressure is on.

Can see it now bolts vs stars in Miami if Romo and Williams can keep it up. Hopefully with a better results then the week 14 appearance.

Yeah I said that earlier. "Philly is playing so bad that I can't really tell if the Cowboys are playing good or if Philly is really just that bad."

Williams? Pssh. We got where we are without him just about. He played well today, but I don't think he's too much of a difference maker. If Romo, Jones, and Austin can keep it up then maybe we will make it to Miami. Well them and all of those defensive players.

I am not predicting a Super Bowl at all. I never cared for us to go this year. I'm just happy with getting the 1996 monkey off our backs. I'm still not seeing a Super Bowl until we beat Minnesota. Then, and only then, I will look forward to a Super Bowl appearance.

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!

75% of the earth is covered by water, the rest is covered by Darrelle Revis.
