THE OFFICIAL 2009 FOOTBALL SEASON SMACK TALKING THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bears owned them lions!! 3-1 GOGOGO!

cutler's TD leap ftw lol
the bears aren't a rebuilt team. their victory in Washington told us that the lions are still at the bottom of the barrel. they just aren't scraping the floor of the barrel like last year. the honor goes to the bucs this year, or maybe the titans.

on a lighter note. Saints 4-0 Jets 3-1, see you and philly in the playoffs. :)

Man Saints defense is the real deal. Sharper has 5 INT's on the year

The Saints haven't trailed in a game yet.

Sorry buddy...
Yeah, bengals were first, do a quick google search for "who dey history". I'd post the link, but my psp doesn't do cut and paste. Should be the second result.

Ah, the felling of winning is refreshing for a Mike Brown era Bengals fan.

I'm not getting into this with you. We fans know it was used in the 70's here. Bengals made the superbowl in 81, and because they were in the media, and that was the first year it was used for them, some people think it was them since you guys got more coverage, and the Saints were a bunch of nobody's in the 70's. Only Bengals fans believe they used it first, everyone else, including the sports world (espn, fox, cbs) all recognize "Who Dat" over "Who Dey". Everytime you google it, it's always a Cincinnati fan writing a blog about it claiming they own it. You don't see any Saints fan doing that crap because they know who started.

I watched the Saints play the Bengals in 2002, and not once did I hear a "Who Dey" chant in that stadium. Saints use it even when we suck which is more times then not.

Kansas City my friend. I'm not sure what they have to be happy about. Oakland is pretty horrendous, but at least their defense is somewhat ok. I dunno how you can say the Titans are bottom of the barrel. Obviously they have quickly lost out on the playoffs at 0-4, but you can't just look at records as black and white, especially with us only in week 4 of the season. Bucs could have won 2 games pretty easily right now, although their defense being so terrible is something we obviously are not used to seeing. Surprise team has to be the Broncos, especially their defense. They looked pretty legit against the Cowboys. Pretty easy schedule for them and a nice lead on the chargers already, expect to see them in the playoffs.

Err, but you just did. Nice job on ignoring what I said though.
Who dey =/= Who dat. The saints can't even claim Who Dat, at least ours is original.

Read my post, follow the instructions.

Favre is the fucking man.

Favre is the fucking man.

Yes he is. I could care less what people say about him. He still has it! I still can't believe he's 40. Seems just like the other day I was sitting the stands watching him play at USM. I was young, but I remember it all.

WHO DEY!

I didn't know we had a defense, what a pleasant surprise.

I'm shocked Bengals are winning that division, stout defense. That is a division of defenses lol.

I feel the need to bring up the Cowboy's situation though I'm not a fan. There has been a lot of talk that if they didn't beat the Chief's yesterday that there would be some firing going on. I ask you all, if it's already escalated to that point is there even any need to base not getting a new staff off one game against a team with no win? Furthermore, other than a tally in the win bracket, I wouldn't consider that a win, they almost got beat and they played like ass the entire game. I say if it's already to that point I don't care if you beat the Broncos, it's obvious they need more than what they've already got to be a championship caliber team.

Cowboys need a huge shake up, and Jason Garret won't be the answer. The problems aren't with Romo as well. You could tell Romo was on the upside with Parcell there. The year have Parcell left, Romo had a huge season, but it's degraded ever since. That kid needs a good coach behind him because he's undisciplined like Roethlisberger, yet he thrives because of coaching and the situation he's in.

This made me chuckle lol

Stat of the Week

When the Redskins take FedEx Field next Sunday against the Chiefs, it will be the sixth consecutive week they've played a winless team. The titanic schedule they've played thus far:

Week 1: vs. 0-0 Giants.
Week 2: vs. 0-1 Rams.
Week 3: vs. 0-2 Lions.
Week 4: vs. 0-3 Bucs.
Week 5: vs. 0-3 Panthers.
Week 6: vs. 0-5 Chiefs.

That's how we roll here in the midwest, 3 yards and a cloud of dust baby! Marvin Lewis is from a defensive background, but our GM/Owner (Mike Brown, the son of Paul Brown - but he sure as shit didn't inherit Football intelligence from him) has always been an idiot. I'm hoping he's finally let the football people make football decisions.

My current motto is, "If you need a win, play the Skins." I mean, they barely beat the Rams, they almost let the Bucs make a comeback and lost to 2 0-? teams (3 if you count the 0-0 Giants.) If they lose to the Cheifs, that's horrible. I'm the complete opposite of a Skins' fan, but living near the DC area is upsetting every Monday lol. Everyone thinks I want them to lose. I don't. It's depressing to see all the upset Skins' fans week-after-week.

Sidenote: The Bengals' are doing pretty well so far. Let's see if they can be the next Cardinals.

Wade Phillips is a terrible head coach, I dont know why owners give Coordinators another shot at being Head Coaches when they have already done poorly at a previous job. Phillips was a coach for atlanta (Interim), then he went to SD as a coordinator, then they give him a job with a talented team and he does jack shit. Norv Turner, Coached the Skins and the Raiders and now he has a gig with the Chargers, lo and behold hes doing a shitpoor job.

If the season ended today, Mike Nolan (Broncos DC, former 49ers coach) would be getting offered a HC job, he did a horrible job in 49ers (LolAlex Smith), and mike singletary is doing a much better job with the EXACT same team.

Eric Mangini, Failed at the jets, then they bring him into a worse situation without even interviewing a single other candidate?

Gregg Williams, Saints DC would probably be offered a job as well, former bills HC and Redskins DC who did great jobs on the defense but the bills have sucked. This is the only guy worthy of another shot though imo.

Granted, sometimes a second chance can turn into some gems (Bellicheck, went from Browns to the Pats), but more often than not. A coordinator, should be just that, a coordinator.
