THE OFFICIAL 2009 FOOTBALL SEASON SMACK TALKING THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol no offense and all but the dolphins really handed you the game. Dropped balls in the 4th quarter is pretty pathetic. Not to mention that one bullshit "Forward pass" call. Average teams find ways to lose games and good teams find ways to win, ill say that for this the Saints are the better team, but the dolphins shouldve won this game. Colts game all over again

True, but the same can be said for us. We handed you the game with 3 ints, and 1 fumble, brees sacked 5 times. Good teams win close games, this was the most impressive win by the Saints all year, even better then beating the Giants into oblivion last week.

Not to take anything away from the Saints (They have a helluva offense, I loved how Shockey played in NY, and Drew Breeeeeeees is a Big10 alum!) but they really haven't played anyone other than the Giants, who just lost to the Cards.

I look forward to the NO v ATL and NO v NE games, those should be some worthy opponents for them.

Saints have still played a decent schedule. It hasn't been weak and teams can only play who is on their schedule.

At the time.

Buffalo 1-1
Jets 3-0
Giants 5-0
Miami 2-3

The Saints Strength of schedule is greater then the Giants, Colts and a ton of other teams right now. Right now, 3-0 vs the AFC East and 2-0 vs the NFC East.

JP's comments of week 7:

Packers blew out Browns, but no huge surprise.

Texans were up 21-0 I think? Let them 9ers come back on them but they still pulled it off.

Charges blew out Chiefs, no surprise.

Peyton continues to do it big and blew out the Rams.

I'm really disappointed that Minnesota lost that game. When Fred Taylor missed that catch and it turning into a interception-TD, it made my face drop. Was cheering on the Vikings, but oh well. One less team undefeated.

Jets blew out Oakland. Which I still don't understand how Eagles lost to Oakland?

Bengals! What happened to Jay Cutler there? I find it funny that the Broncos and Orton are doing better than Cutler and the Bears.

How bout dem Cowboys? I was sick of hearing how the Falcons were going to blow us out. That and I'm happy we finally can say "we beat a good team" because our first 3 wins were from teams with no wins (Bucs, Panthers, Chiefs.)

Omg Saints lol. Drew Brees is definitely a beast. However, they need to keep this up.

Cardinals beating the Giants was a bit of a surprise to me. Thought Eli was gonna pull off something. I wanted the Cards to win though.

And while I want the Skins' to win tonight, I don't think it'll happen.

Big difference between throwing an INT because you were getting nailed, and throwing an INT because your receiver bobbled the ball. I dont think you can say the saint gaves the dolphins the game at the start, the way you can say the dolphins handed them the game at the end.

Did you hand us 4 rushing touchdowns too lol, because the fins have done that to just about everyone this season. They abandoned the run in the second half when the saints got closer, why? I dont know.

Because every time they tried to run the ball in the 2nd half, Vilma was in the backfield stuffing it for a loss. The willdcat had 15 carries for 34 yards. It wasn't effective in between the twenties, and by the time the end of the 2nd quarter whined down, the Saints had pretty much stopped the run all together. I think they may have abandoned it too quickly, but Sporano freaked out at the way the Saints were scoring and tried to be more aggressive.

The Dolphins Choked, I agree, but the Saints earned the win in the end. To outscore a team 41-10 i n the last 28 minutes is crazy in the NFL.

I don't won't to argue over this. Miami fell into the same trap every team falls in when they play us. They panic when we score 14pts in under two minutes, which has happened in almost every game. The opposing teams always try to change the game plan after that. It's just part of the Saints game.

Yeah I saw the trailer, and while I was watching it, something seemed really familiar about it lol.

God damn it, picking Brandon marshall over Sims Walker gonna btie me in the ass

two words. DARREN SHARPER!!!!!!! 7-0 nuf said. GEUAX SAINTS!!!!!!!!

That was a nail biter!
Tell me about it. i cant believe they kept trying to run the ball with 1:30 left on the clock against a team that could not stop our passing game at all. And it has fully dawned on me just how BIG Atlanta RB's and def linemen are. when they been taking advice from Pittsburgh or somethin?

they should call mike turner "the bus". he ran like deuce did in his prime.

Pretty nice games this weekend. If there is any team that is fun to watch play it's the Saints and the Phins.

Surprised about that Eagles-Giants game really.

Yay for the Titans first win.

Boo for the Broncs first loss.

Yays and boos for the other wins and loses.

Airou said the dolphins handed us last week's win. i agree and disagree with that because of what we saw in last night's game. the saints offense was making poor choices towards the end of the 4th and nearly gave Atlanta the comeback they were looking for. but on the flip side our defense was where it needed to be yesterday. much like in Miami the dolphins make those mistakes too, but their defense wasnt up to the task of stopping us like we did to Atlanta.

Hey now, i have the Saints vs. Eagles for the NFC Title. However, lets not get it twisted, the saints D did not play well, they came up with some big plays off turnovers and that was it, they gave up well over 400 yards of offense, but they made plays when they counted. However, we have seen time and time again, teams cant keep up the huge turnover ratio up forever, see the dolphins of last year, led the league in TO ratio like the saints are this year, but look how crappy the dolphins D has been playing.

The saints are playing great, i havent been able to watch all of their game but yesterdays exposed their Defense, even though they came up with not big, but HUGE plays to swing the game their way.

Lets not forget, the saints are clearly the better team, but they banked on some missed opportunities from the falcons, the saints had 4 turnovers on offense and the falcons simply coldnt capitalize.

The saints do a very good job of hiding their weaknesses on defense, thats what Gregg Williams does, but they do have weaknesses, and they will be tested down the road.

Our defense had it's worst outing yesterday by far, and I knew this year our run defense would be poor, and now even worse without Sed Ellis. Teams just don't run well on us because we usually take teams out of their run game.

We have weaknesses on defense, but as long as we got GW, I think it'll be good enough to give us a shot at the SB.

Hey now, i have the Saints vs. Eagles for the NFC Title.

Eagles? I don't think so. Not saying they are a bad team, but they aren't a great team either. There's a couple other teams I think will get further than the Eagles.

If its not the eagles its Minnesota, right now no other team has a legitimate case.

Im still not jumping on the viking bandwagon because i dont trust their WR core just yet.

The injury bug is on a feeding frenzy now. Atlanta is a run heavy offense and they use big guys for their running plays. The saints' backups did their job as best they could stepping up to the snap. (i'd say plate but this is football not baseball, lol) I knew that if any team would beat us it would be Atlanta. just like this saints team isn't the team of the past same for Atlanta. In fact the only game i'm fearful of us losing is the game where we have to go to their house to play.
