THE OFFICIAL 2009 FOOTBALL SEASON SMACK TALKING THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also people have to understand Atlanta is a rival for us, they are always close. Atlanta was also in a must win situation to stay in the race for the division title, so we got their best.

If its not the eagles its Minnesota, right now no other team has a legitimate case.

Im still not jumping on the viking bandwagon because i dont trust their WR core just yet.

I just don't see it in Philly for some reason. I say Minnesota will do better. I think Atlanta will pick up their game on Sunday against the Skins and will get back into the race. And I'm putting Dallas, Philly, Arizona, and Green Bay in the same pool as of now, even though Dallas' and Philly's record is currently better than Arizona's and Green Bay's. But I'm not putting those teams out the race yet. I do have a feeling my opinion will change in 2-3 weeks though.

That was a good game. I'm a Falcons fan, tried and true, and the Saints are my second pick. They definitely deserve the good they have in their way right now. The loss wasn't hard to take, considering it was the Saints and they (ATL) played decently. I think Matt Ryan still needs another year or so to mature, he made a lot of mistakes but he also showed -some-, though be it little, improvement under pressure. He's just not there yet but if he keeps it up I'm nothin' but hopeful about their future.

If I was Jerry Jones I'd be kickin' myself for not snaggin' Drew Brees when he had the chance and for not givin' up Jason Garrett, the not so "wondrous" red-head, and lettin' Sean Payton take over the head coaching job. Irony FTW.

Wow i really feel bad for Bob Sanders, i remember seeing some stat line that out of the 96 games Indy has had since drafting him, he has only played in 47 of them, thats less than half including that one pro bowl season where he played most of the season.

The guy is so talented but so damn fragile, i wonder if he considers retirement, or if the colts have considered cutting him loose, theyve been patient with him for so long but damn, its a really shitty situation, if he does get another chance i hope he can turn it around and stay healthy!

Pretty good turnouts this weekend. Yay for the Saint's first 8-0 start ever! Yay for the Bengals taking out the Ravens again! lol@Ochocinco's dolla dolla bill yall. Woo for the 'Boys taking the number one spot in the NFC East!

Saints have been finishing strong, outscoring opponents 98-18 in the 4th QT.

Brees though, needs to start taking care of the ball. He has 8 turnovers in 3 games.

i dunno how to feel tbh... cowboys are my team but romo has gotten progressively worse each year... he started the season terrible but has gotten worse to help the boys reach
6-2... so i dunno what to think anymore... romos too damn streaky... the boys got a good D and if Romo can keep his streakyness going in the Win column then watch out... pains me to say it, but i just dont think its gonna happen given his history

Romo hasn't gotten worse, he's gotten better. In their 4 game win stretch, I believe he only has one INT and something like 10 td's.

he's still got a long way to go tho. performance stigmatas stick like glue in the NFL.

i meant over the long run lol... like each year he has gotten worse and worse it seems... i said hes gotten better this year... but sadly im sure it wont last.

oh ya i see what i did up there. i said hes gotten worse' to get them to 6-2 , i meant to say better...

His first year (which started half way through) he did okay. His second year, he did a lot better ending with a 13-3 Cowboys. Last year, he did okay again but completely fucked up on the last game. This year he is doing a lot better again. If he can keep up what he's doing now, we'll do pretty well. He's just good in November though. What... he's like 15-1 in November? And like 7-9 in December? He just needs to get through that December month and turn himself back to the November Romo in the postseason.

He's gotten worse because Parcells and Sean Peyton left. Romo is a "gunslinger" and needs a coach that can discipline him. Favre had Holmgren. Big Ben had Cowher, and now Tomlin. Those type of wild quarterbacks need a good coach early in their career's.

oh my god that game was a nail bitter. Sean Payton should be slapped for taking the rams so lightly.

and another thing. why are all the big name teams slowing down. Saints squeek by the rams, Indy barely beats Houston, the steelers cant even score a touchdown, Atlanta is starting to suck again (not that I'm complaining), and the vikings didn't put up the 40+ points on the lions like everyone expected.

Are they getting worn out or are the weak team picking it up. honestly i think it's both.

Well we had 3 of our 4 starters in the secondary out. We've lost both DT's. Our defense is struggling with the injury bug. On the other hand, our offense has no excuses. Drew Brees has been turning the ball over at an alarming rate, and today the trend continued.

yes that is true. i have no idea what his recent performance slump is about but he needs to fix it. I knew sean sat many of our starters and he even limited colston's play time as to rest them up for the on coming big games, which thank god we play at home. they underestimated the rams and it almost bit us in the ass.

speaking of getting bit in the ass, how bout them cowboys? :)

Shut the fuck up ; ;.

How bout them Colts? I'm sorry but you DO NOT get Manning a chance like that to win the game. That should of been a punt without a second thought on 4 and 2. That game was pretty exciting though.

Also, how bout them Skins? Denver is slipping, 6-0 to 6-3. And with a Philly and Dallas loss, if the Skins can keep it up, the NFC East may get interesting!

Who Dey? Who Dey? Who Dey think they gonna beat them Bengals?

Sweeping both the Squealers and the Ravens, and soon the Browns.

He felt like giving the ball to Manning with over two minutes left and all three of their time outs was pretty fucking risky too. And honestly, he was right. There was no way the Pats were gunna stop them, there was plenty of time for him to work with 3-4 clock stoppages left. People are acting as if Manning didn't EASILY bring them 30 yards to score, but the truth is they could of gone those 30 yards in significantly less time than they had actually used up. Adding another 40 yards to make him go likely wouldn't have meant jack. I think we all can say that if you have to choose the Pats offense or the Pats defense...you go with that offense to make a pretty easy play.

The thing that was stupid was the Pats use of their time outs and the play they called on 4th and 2. Just run a fucking 3-5 yard route, no reason to just barely run enough/just short of the yardage needed.

rushing those last few yard would have been a good idea.................if the pats had a running game that is. :P
