I don't see anything about a fix for the R0 or 3113 problem included int he update, only something about GMs, I just downloaded something but it still doesn't work. D:

The last time this happened to me was about a year ago and they blamed my provider (Shaw Cable). I changed and got Telus DSL and again they are blaming my provider. Two completely different kinds of connections.

After I switched to DSL it worked. The Shaw Cable problem was over a year ago. I wasn't able to log in for 2-3 weeks because of it.

It was in response to the Aura Steal question - not the "Its not our fault" connection problem.

[Important Update Details]
The following issues have been addressed:

- Thief's job ability, "Aura Steal" may sometimes cause a forced termination on both the ability user and nearby players.

- A program issue that caused "gil" to be displayed as "gils" in auction house-related messages.

This is the closest thing I have seen so far for SE taking any sort of action about what's going on. But then again, they've checked everything on thier end and it's working properly, they must of just missed this when they checked before.

i turned off(restarted) both modem and router and let it have some downtime.

I did that and it worked! ^^; Now i can only hope not to d/c any time soon. :3

yeah, i wasnt saying DSL sucks, i was jsut saying im not going through all of that just to play FF. im addicted, but im not crazy!

SE better have a fix by at least tomorrow. im sure their phones are blowing up.

I had my friend logon my character after about 36 hours of being stuck in P.Sando...His character would R0 in P.Sando but mine wouldn't on his machine. Very strange.

When did RMT last attack SE? Something about a ddos attack?

Considering how they have been royally screwed out of a few of their main camps. Maybe they're at it again?




Honestly, all these methods of changing IP/changing router or mac address/connecting directly to the modem to change mac address/contacting ISP/etc...Is this something as a collective we should have to do?

I see no reason for us having to risk our connections or risking possibly more network issues by changing ours. Though, they're not suggesting we should do so either - they did tell us to 'wait' but not for how long.

I mean, c'mon. A (possible) majority of their playerbase have been down for damn near 72 hours. They're still saying 'their servers are working fine' and they haven't offered any technical support whatsoever.

Worst customer service (we are currently investigating this matter www), technical intuition (it's not our servers lawl), and technical support (pls wait - keep waiting - are you still waiting?). They seem to pride themselves among these three topics.

Mainly changed to bundle my phone line with DSL so over all it is cheaper. Just alone it's more expensive if they weren't already my phone company.

Has anyone figured out if this is happening to ppl across all platforms? From what I can tell, ppl using an Xbox360 aren't having any problems.(my friends on 360's aren't anyway).

Could it be something where if you use Windower, or have messed with .dats, you may be having the problems?

Its weird for SE to say, "everything is working fine on our end", with so many users having issues....

Something is going on... I'm sure ppl who do use 3rd pt programs wouldn't say they were when they call tech support.


Edit: Maybe SE put something the update to break windower? Just throwing it out there, dont' even know if windower would affect R0's....

Same thing with my 360. Logon in P.Sando > R0.

Definently a network issue.

Odd. I'm just glad I'm not having any issues other then increased lag in ToAU areas, and I think thats due to more ppl being in those zones for fear of D/C'n in Signet Zones.

...not using any windower computer new, nothing installed except windows -.- and ffxi

They told "everithing is fine on servers" officially on their website, but just after too few hours since people started complaining, i'd rather say too early for a deep and aimed troubleshooting was done... and they are SE, they will never admit "Sorry mistake... problem understimated, we'll look deeper in the matter" when they already spent officially a word...

No problem in telling here on a non official place, but... i must repeat, i don't use windower or third party software i am too scared and i read too many urban legends about people banned because of them to risk... and i know other people that still don't know that windower even exists. Who complains because i'm unreachable on MSN -.-
