My point with showing you these pictures is simple(Im not saying gear makes the player, but gear like this takes TIME and experience to get, unless you buy from the RMT x.x which he didn't.) Hes been around long enough that even if someone else leveled his RDM to 50+ for him, and he took over after that, he would still know how to play the job way better then you are claiming.
Revears one of the nicest people in this game and its a shame you had to flame him over whats obviously a misconception on your part.

oops, I shoulda been more clear. I'm agreeing with you.

Sharpe... if you read the post you would see exactly what it has to do with RDM. And he does have destroyers. He just didn't feel like wearing them I guess.

Then he's stupid, him having "1337" gear for his MNK even his skill as a MNK has nothing to do with his ability to play RDM.
 
Revear ditched our party without warning.

Last night in a party @ Wajaom Woodlands, Revear just up and ditched our party without any reason.

It happened when there were some people switching out. A BLM had come to replace the other BLM who was main healing in the party. After the new BLM got into the party, Revear suddenly disbanded and had the other BLM that was leaving D2 him. He gave us absolutely no warning whatsoever.

I don't care if some lolHNM is up or you have some kind of LS event, if you have to leave, freakin' let us know! Don't just up and leave a party without warning.

I also know Revear is from the UK. If its night US time then I know its ass late UK time. I know there have been times where ive stayed in an exp to try to get so and so a level if they were close despite the fact i was half asleep. Maybe this was the case, maybe not. Ive partied with Revear before on his RDM during US daylight hours and he did decent. The fact he left without warning is pretty crappy, but at really late hours we all do goofy stuff. Who knows.
 
I guess he just wanted to half-ass his way up lol.

I agree with STEELFIST (you're right Rappa, it works!), and also with Doth's epic observations. People can suck balls no matter how many 75's they have, and yes. Newer folk are sucking hard.

Perhaps they don't have the interest or are playing more "casually" than others. Perhaps they don't get enough "training" because veteran players completely shy away from areas like Valkurm Dunes or even Yuhtunga/Yhoator Jungles now, leaving the newer players to completely fend for themselves?

Either way, it doesn't excuse any behaviors like 'ditch n' warp'. I don't know Revear at all, but I do know Morcheeba through other people, and I'll try to see that word gets through that it's not ever kosher to act in such a way :\

final y my friend was removed from sparta because he had work and couldent show cept for one KB and ive not shown to nothing yet i havent been removed whats up with that case closed. ter was ur fault i left.

No, I don't know why they called it Manafont. Maybe it sounded better than Magicfont. Sounds like some kind of curvy font, with serifs being tossed around everywhere, even in the middle of Os and Qs and stuff where they don't belong.
 
It could just be STEELFIST that rev rocks the melee but sucks at mage jobs. Happens sometimes.. they dont realize you cant engage-and-afk on a mage and lack the humility ( I HAS GODZ GEARS NEWB! FOUR SEVENTY FIVEEEEEE!) to see when they suck at something... Or maybe he was high or drunk. UK. LoL.
 
Reminds me of Sheldaris joining a party a few days ago. No less than ten minutes into the fight, he says AFK 5min...30 min later, nothing. Replace him, an hour later...Still nothing. The least you can do is let the party know you're going to be gone a long time, so they can replace you.
 
One of the problems with this game is that in order to break certain amounts of exp/hr, you *need* a refreshing job. There are only two jobs that do this well, IMO(sorry CORs, I've yet to see your roll consistently perform as well as refresh or ballad).

Because of this, RDMs and BRDs will get parties in the mid-levels far faster than any other job. Even when I started this game, I remember seeing more RDMs and BRDs at 75 than the sum of all RDMs and BRDs from 1 to 74. This is just a reflection on how dependant the game is on these job classes for high levels of exp.

Accordingly, people are usually far more willing to put up with a bad BRD or RDM than they are with a bad DD or tank. Getting refresh sometimes is better than not getting refresh at all, especially when there are no other refreshers available in your level range. Shitty players can use this to their advantage to coast to 75 without doing any real work.

Does this mean all refreshers are like this? Hell no - most of the ones I know are the best players in the game because they do their job well (and played right, I'd say RDM and BRD are the hardest jobs). But there are shitbags out there who will not only do a crappy job, but expect you to put up with it.

The only solution is the black list of doom - and actively making sure that endgame linkshell leads don't unwittingly accept such players.
 
HUGE props to Baj. This guy could argue anything. Does MP mean Mana Pool or Magic Points? Is the sky blue or is it SKY blue? Only he can tell us why.

6 or above gives 2 MP/tick now, and it's really only beneficial to have a smn in party for the full effect of this roll. Corsair's are better for situational endgame events. Magic Attack Roll and Evoker's Roll are a Black Mage's best friend.

Better yet, Puppet Roll / Beast Roll + Evoker's Roll on a Summoner party during Wyrms is near godly.



During Merit/exp parties...it's sad

and it's sad, many people only choose corsairs because they think they can pull whore like brds....


600 delay gun (Coffinmakers/Shark guns etc)
1 minute quick draw (light shot sleep)

Against say a bard casting elegy on everything in sight and using lullaby....hah

yeah you do the math
