The real America! 9/11 and all. The thread you've been waiting for.

No matter what anyone says, the odds of preparing the WTC for controlled demolition without anyone who is not supposed to know noticing it are astronomically low.
not so much with the WTC. you could have placed exposives on the elevators in the central shaft (the giant elevator core) and taken them up to specific floors. At that point, the only ones who'd notice are those inside trying to get an elevator, and they arent exactly in a position to contradict it right now.

True, but that's a.) not a controlled demolition, and b.) unlikely given that in at least one of the building the central core was breached and filled with burning jet fuel. Add to that the fact that you'd basically need to pack the elevator solid with explosives under the eye of the FDNY and NYPD... yeah, pretty damn impossible.

Thats the thing though, the conspiracy is that the government planned the whole thing, so according to that, they could've paid of the FDNY and NYPD...

but...

That's BS either way, and was the security at the WTC controlled by the NYPD? Just wonderin

I'd like to mention a new good link.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9/11_conspiracy_theories

The author/s did a very good job on this. He/they only hit the very tip of the iceberg but they stay neutral throughout the whole thing and it takes all possibilities into consideration.

Just to mention about Wikipedia.org... it's probaly the worst resource you can possibly use for most situations. It can be edited by anyone and everyone, and the information isn't always based on fact or truth.

So, for example, it could say "The U.S Revolution 1776", and someone can write, "In 1776, aliens came down from Mars and kicked the British out of the U.S."

=/ Everyone always posts all of their resources. I've yet to find anything that's purely false on wikipedia. It's your opinion that wikipedia is a poor resource. I've found it tremendously helpful on many occasions. It's just as good as any nonfiction book. Anyone can write a book and get it published.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I've used Wikipedia before and recieved some decent information. I'm just saying, that on a topic about this, even when neutral, it doesn't necesarily make him unbaised. And also, some of his text may have been edited by another party, so unless you email the perosn that wrote it, you won't know for sure if all that was written there was by him.

I understand. Usually if some idiot does something like that, it gets spotted and fixed.

wikipedia rule said:
Vandalism is any addition, deletion, or change to content made in a deliberate attempt to reduce the quality of the encyclopedia. The most common type of vandalism is the replacement of existing text with obscenities, page blanking, or the insertion of bad jokes or other nonsense. Fortunately, this kind of vandalism is usually easy to spot.

It is possible for that to happen but it usually doesn't stay that way for long.

Edit:
Now for an awesome wiki, check out uncyclopedia.org. I just looked up 9/11 on it.

Yea, I'd just check it again a few times as a reader, just to see if it is edited to it's original content at any point in time.

Steel doesn't instantly get hotter than jet fuel can burn and then continue to be over 2000* 5 days after it was heated. I'm sure you saw the proof I showed of all of that.

Just a quick question. Did they say the inferno burned through the steel? Or just caused the steel to expand (Thermal Expansion) and weaken?

Jet fuel alone couldn't have weakened the steel to the point to cause a collapse. NIST tried to make it happen many times with models and they just couldn't get steel framed buildings to collapse with damage and fire alone. Steel frame buildings don't collapse from fire and the WTC twin towers don't take major damage from jet planes. Thermite, on the other hand, can easily cut through steel and even evaporate it.

I have a question for you. Do you believe in any government conspiracys and/or cover-ups?

If not, I'll have something for you to look into. Do some research on the Iran-Contra affair. That's a huge and proven government conspiracy and cover-up. Another thing you can look into is Panama. Another thing you can look into is the School of Americas in Georgia (the country).

I believe the air pressure caused from the raging infernos in each building is what caused the towers to collapse.

I'm not going to post again here because after skipping through and reading a few posts in this thread I am disgusted that I used to post here frequently.

America, love it or get the fuck out.

Don't bother arguing or responding to this post, I won't answer.

I love America. I love what this country is suppose to be. It isn't suppose to be controled by dictators who think they can trash the constitution. No one in the world has that right. That's why I think Clinton was a good president overall.

This country is quickly turning into something that just isn't America.

I do believe in conspiracies, just not this one. But I'm not going to go into detail, 'cause it was posted the Hell out of in the other thread. lol

And by the way, Clinton wasn't all good and glorifying himself. He had made many mistakes as well. His 'affair' with the other women (not political, but huge kill in PR), the lack of support for the men in Somalia, a.k.a 'Black Hawk Down', he didn't create follow-ups on Iraq following the 'Gulf War', and he never pressed for further negotiations for the Palestinian Refugee problem, in which the U.S did say that they would move further on in both the Camp David Accords, and the Palestinian Autonomy Agreement in 1993.

The best president, by far, was the first god damn one, George Washington. And for those JFK lovers, yea, he was great, he did ALOT for the country, and helped it at its time in need of a good president, but he was one of the most decietful presidents in the presidency.

And by the way, there is more on Clinton than just that...

I just want to ask a question.

If you take a thin piece of metal, lets pick a soft one like aluminum, and bend it back and forth repeatedly, what happens at the stress point (the bend)?

It gets hot.

Now if you take something like structural steel and use a chop saw to cut it in half, you do not want to touch the cut because it is extremely hot. Though it will not be hot enough to melt the metal it gets very hot.

Now if we add burning jet fuel, super-heated gas vapors, electrical fires and various other types of fuel to the equation the metal that was already at an elevated temperature the metal will weaken to the point that it will stretch under an extreme load (i.e. the remains of a jet airplane). That stretching will also create an additional source of heat.

The fact that molten metal was discovered in the aftermath is significant only in the fact that it illistrated the extreme temperatures within the impact area and its immediate surroundings.

As far as the structure is concerned one must also remember that the floors were not constructed in the typical frame grid. The buildings floors utilized a truss floooring system. A truss is much lighter than a solid beam, yet it is as strong if not stronger, depending on application.

A truss is more succeptible to torsion if loading is not applied in the designed manor. Upon impact several truss ends were destroyed thus transfering its unbalenced load to other trusses. This loading imbalance created a torsion on the supports that remained. This torsion twisted the metal ends creating the scenario i opened this post with.

One more quick point.

If you heat water under pressuse the temperature of the water (im not talking about the steam) can reach temperatures well in excess of 100 degrees Celcius.

The same goes for the burning of a fuel (any fuel) if it is heated, burning, and the fumes do not have a direct flow away from the flames they will become superheated, thus resulting in temperatures much greater than the actual burning point of that fuel.

***Sorry if this seems to jump around a bit. If there are any material or structural over simplifications just keep in mind that I'm typing this fast and have not reviewed this post thoroughly.
