Thinking about playing again..

Probably worth it yeah, provided you can find a linkshell that's a good fit. I guess it depends on what you're looking to get out of your return.

I'm not too sure personally. Do you plan on playing FFXIV? If so you may as well just wait it out. It comes out later September anyway.

Meh, new laptop only got 309 on the benchmark so I doubt I'll be playing ffxiv.

Well the benchmark is kinda BS, I got 300-600 the 3 times I did it on my PC. Some Beta testers got around that as well but they can run the game fine. Did the cutscenes run fine? My cutscene was perfect, didn't lag or anything, but still scored low. Also, if you don't have a Nvidia graphics card, you have a lower chance of scoring anything high because apparently SE are working with Nvidia now.

Anywho! Yeah, if you don't plan on playing FFXIV, then I guess it would be worth coming back if you want to go back to something kinda different (I quit back in January and it's changed tons since then). But if you are considering FFXIV, then there's probably no point unless you want to play both.

Erhhhh it was a -little- laggy, I could always.. try.. and get a new graphics card for my laptop though. ^-^
I'll see what I can work up with the money I get in the next month or so.

And actually I can't upgrade my graphics card. So nevermind x.x not risking ruining my laptop, I'd have to take it completely apart.

I've been tempted too, I miss my sexy Elvaan Red Mage But I'd have to get the newer expansion and I'd have so much to do and barely anyone I know is left

i actually came back. A lot of the people i used to know still play. The tricky part is re learning stuff

I've come back and forth to this game more times than I can count. I would sometimes leave for a week or two or even a month. I left the game for over a year one time too and came right back. It's hard to ever really fully keep away from this game.

FFXIV isn't all too great yet. It just doesn't have that feel quite as yet and still needs a lot of work done to it. Besides, it's hard to get away from the FFXI addiction. People always tend to come back. I've been back to the game for almost a year now ever since my year departure from the game, and I've even seen a lot of people like myself who has been gone for a year or more come back. So even if you relog and may not know anyone anymore, most likely that person you once knew before would come back, or you can always make new friends like we all did in our newbie days. ^^
