well this was interesting to read to say the least. Thanks for the entertainment everyone.
The time that i was in there, I saw a lot of people who just came to get items...then leave. That seemed to be the mentality of the LS, once you get what you want you can leave.
As for how the ls was run. It was WAY to much work. You guys do sky everyday all day (one of my main reasons for leaving). I like to have a life and i like being able to do other things besides sky all the time. I realize i wasn't the poster child for attendence, but i was grounded from computer by parents and you did stuff to early for me (since on EST).
There are two sides to what Dua has done. I feel in some ways it was ok, in other ways it was wrong. and LMAO at Dua's pic.
I too did have my concern for the ls bank. I remember someone telling me prophecy was using it to level clothcraft for the ls so he could make nobles tunic, but that could be false, just something i heard.
Also, i remember people talking about proph being mad because they weren't there to claim nidhogg (but did dynamis instead), because M body dropped and he didn't get it. It seemed that a lot of people i the ls felt as if proph was out for his own good (as you can tell by the people who left it).
As for my reasons for leaving, nothing personal against shell. I just have a new shell with lots of friends that i've played the game with since low lvls, better farming times, make sky seem like less of a chore, and i have a great time w/ them. Hopefully no hard feelings between me and anyone in OH.

While you should have gotten some items, I don't think you should put all of the blame on OH policies and Prophecy as the only reason for you not getting what you wanted. I don't dislike you, Dua, but what you did is very wrong. When I left the game, I could have easily sold my Noble's Tunic and/or account and made some nice real life cash. Did I do that? Nope. I gave the account with all my gear to someone in the linkshell because I realize I didn't earn all of my gear by myself. It was a very profound group effort and I always felt that all of my equipment was still partly owned by the linkshell.
You get items when you earn them, not when you just wear the linkshell pearl.
Maybe both parties, Dua and Prophecy, have both added fuel to the fire, but stealing isn't the answer. You could have easily brought up your failing enthusiasm with Prophecy along with your argument about why you need the items and why you deserve them, and I'm sure Prophecy would have listened and readjusted the item list since he has known you for such a long time.
It is just a game, but you shouldn't do that to your friends, regardless of whether or not they're in real life or just text on your monitor. There are real people behind the text and they put forth a lot of their time and effort to earn gil and items. You're not just stealing a game item, you're wasting their past time and effort, too. No one should be that selfish.

Well ya know, no offense and all but it is kinda true. Almost everything that OH has done event-wise has been aimed at stuff that Prophecy can benefit from, minus sky (where he still benefits from the whole mystical LS bank/random abj stuff). How many times has OH contested KB or Aspido? Now how many times has he gone to Fafnir? You can paint the situation any way you like but something like that says a lot. Not convinced yet?
Prophecy and I had a long conversation during the Nidhogg-spawn-NA-claim-and-M.Body-Drop day. Basically it boiled down to Prophecy wanting Dynamis times to change week to week based on OH NM camping times. Now, DynamisPants was going through some hard times at that point but basically in retaliation to my non-compliance, he started a new dynamis shell within a week. I didn't really care at the new shell per se, but the fact that it was made so Prophecy alone could have his cake and eat it too was absurdly greedy.
Now if he was a genius strategist or leader I probably wouldn't say sheep would be the most accurate term to call the members in his shell. However, with his 4th grade reading and writing English levels in a game based entirely on written communication (on top of his poor leadership skill) I definitely question peoples reasons for following him. I guess it doesn't matter who the chef for the soup line is as long as you *believe* there is a bowl of something waiting at the end.[/b]
