I got the first osode we got off kirin, despite not being there for the fight. Did anyone object to it? Does that tell you anything? I was "totally decked out" and still farming sky, unlike several others that got their stuff and then stopped showing for pops. So many freaking days up in sky "we have no blm" "we have no rdm" "we have no whm" "Don't we have like a dozen osodes in shell, cause I'm the only person up here with one..."

You're saying that leading a blossoming ls doesn't matter? You have got to be shitting me. I've seen shells fail in their first few weeks because of disorganization, and unconcise leadership.

As for davio earning w legs, yes, he did put in a decent amount of time in sky early on, and got little as a result. He stopped showing for a time, and I remember a few times where we were in sky with no stunner and he was off somewhere leveling some lowbie job in kazham or where ever.

I'm sorry to flame you davio, you did put more into sky than you have got out of it.

However, the ls changed me from the way I was at it's start. When proph explained how sky was gonna work, I think the only question I had was "Shining cloth will go to whm's for nobles then, right?" and I was happy when he respoded yes. Not because I have a whm (my whms are level 38 and 8, with no intention of leveling them higher ever) but because it would make the ls stronger. Then the claw dropped. It was decided that it would go to make a SH for Myihta, to make the shell better. Delite also got some divine logs for some shura gear. I was happy for them, I was happy for everyone that got drops from the gods we killed. And the uproar began. "nono, that claw should be sold to buy cursed armor like you told us all sky drops would be, btw I need a cursed ______" Communism works in theory, but in practice, a large number of those that get less than others will become unhappy.

After putting up with endless bitching and greed, I stopped feeling good for many people that got drops, and became somewhat greedy myeslf. Hey, let's give next w legs to someone that never plays a job that can equip them, then after that lets give them to someone that has spent 2 hours in the ls, then, let's just randomly pick pld that happen to be in the region and hand them out to them rather than give them to our rng that can make good use out of them and show up for farming. I got pissed that they were going to people that didn't show up to farm, and people that would see much less use out of them than myself. In the first few weeks of the shell I would have not minded waiting on something like them, because I would have believed in them going for the greater good. Once I saw that the shell wasn't that ideal dream shell I had it built up to be (and still belive that it was in it's first few weeks) I began to care less about the shell, and more about myself.

I'm glad I left, and I'm glad I never got the w legs. If I had got them I might have reached the point where I decided to choose the material items over my friends. I'll take my greed, crunch it down, and toss it out. I'm done with that type of shell forever.

Hmmm....i seem to remember Jonas telling me something about Stouter whining cause he would be able to spend his sky points on w. legs since they were priority for pld and not all of ours had them yet...Like i said tho, 2nd hand info, jonas would have to post if he did or not

I'm not going to say anything I heard second hand. I am speaking from things I have actually seen. Stout has led people through Ifrit's, Rancor Den, ZM missions, Opt hat fights, hand held tour of sky, Fenrir fights, etc, etc. NONE of which did he actually need to do. I mean how often can you get a 75 Brd to drop everything to come to a Fenrir fight at the last minute with no gain and only xp loss to be had?

I will confirm that I did and still want w legs, but not all our pld having them yet... Who was left in the shell without them that had a pld that could equip them 2 weeks before I left? Firestreak, and... nobody else. My bitching was about how they (and other items) were distributed in the proph points the finger system. Take a look at wowzer. He put in a large amount of time, and has got little. He sees himself bumped down on the list for byakko's haidate regularly, and never complains, even though he deserves them more than anyone that gets them before him. I wish I was that big of a man.

The point system that was still a work in progress that would have given paladins extra points when lotting on w legs when I left the shell, meaning I would have to spend more points to out bid a new pld for them. I never once bitched about this fact. This was my doing, if you think I was bitching about the way points were gonna be handled, don't you think I would have changed the the rules in my own favor, since I was the person that was more or less making them? Someone suggested making a rule where the leaders got more points for farming sky, which I turned down.

Jonas is lying if he says I bitched to him. I might have bitched in ls or party chat while he was there, but it was never to him.

Yeah I've done some selfless things, but I've done some selfish things as well. Most people have. You find very few that only do one or the other, and those people really stand out. The few names that stick out for me are the jins (jinshorty and jingod) who help with anything at the drop of a hat, and have shown no selfishness in my experience with them, and hakasaru (thank god he's gone) who wouldn't go to HKTK when he didn't have a cluster, or carbie mitts when he didn't have an offering, or help with anything at all if there was no gain to be had for himself.

No, we did a /random to see order for op hats, and he was 2nd (out of 5 iirc) and he went afk after getting his hat, never to return. For the record, I sent tells to all of the 3 or 4 blms in his party not to D2 him, and to disband so we could reform and we left him there for dead (an hour after he went afk) I've been a sackholder in every ls since my first one a year and a half ago, and he was the first of 3 people I've booted from a shell. Cohibu was the third.
