This is for the Campaign crowd.

I died 5 mins before a Jugner ended. I was right next to the teleport NPC, and my death timer went down to almost the 30:00 minute mark until I got a raise -- from the MNK I was duoing with because he went to town and changed to his WHM. I had a RDM 'fresh himself next to me, and at least 3 WHMs tele out. That's so far my record with impatience with raises. It usually isn't SO bad, ten minutes max, but that one just takes the cake.
Thats a shame those mages all ignored you, not to defend what they did I have seen fallen players go afk at beseiged and have like 20 raises planted ontop of them by passing mages. Those ones may have thought you afk or maybe lag didnt have your corpse pop on their screens right away.

This game needs a big neon 'Raise required' and 'Raise already performed' tag above dead people, would certainly save on wasted mp being squandered 20 times on a afk person.

anyone tried drk/dnc for campaign?

I see it all the time. There's one Tarutaru DRK that does it while wearing Homam armor and he rips the shit out of mobs.

i was reading about it on wiki, it said it was so so sub for drk or something to that jazz, due to delay of scythe sambas dont' last long but he had a haste set so it would be different for him

Doesn't matter if you don't plan on using the Sambas for your party.

You'll get the effect every time you hit.

Unless you're talking about something different.

i'm not too familiar with dancer and how it works just the effects...

like the duration is based on how often you hit it and how fast, something with a high delay would make it have a lesser pronounced utility

That's only the daze effect. You cast the samba on yourself, and when you *hit* it, the mob gains the debuff of a daze which enables the actual effect. The only duration that is dependent on your delay is the actual daze effect. As for the samba, it's written in stone without AF body (?) on.

I saw this happening a lot over the week, especially in Jugner. There were about 6-7 dead, not too far from the NPC. Only one PLD stayed behind to raise the rest. Its annoying, but what can you do. The nice and decent thing for people to do is raise the fallen, even after campaign has ended and no points are given for the raise but at the end of the day, they don't have to.

I generally try not to judge people, but those who will stay behind to raise my dead ass post-campaign are good people in my book. I don't take note of those that run by me, but they're probably dicks.

Why would you waste MP on Samba any way? If you're soloing, it'd be better to just use the 35 TP cost of Drain Samba II to, say, WS, or Curing Waltz yourself, since the Drain of it doesn't actually add anything to your damage.

Tp?

That's what I had in mind uzor or alternate with aspir samba but in campaign every mob has mp so aspir is just enough. As a drk in campaign it's pretty easy to snag hate, I used the death scythe which procced often for the hp drains, but I'll be using tredicim now. My friends dnc sub is only 18 but I was thinking of leveling it with my ninja to cap them both since she lacks many solo subs.

/dnc I wouldn't sub for damage, it's just an extra net of survivability, as you said the drains don't add to your damage, but keep you alive longer.

I'm looking forward to trying DRK/DNC at 72 with Octave Club. Shame i'll be feeding the mob TP like it's a Samurai on speed.

Anyone not WHM or /WHM just get the RR item from the NPC for 30 notes. Saves you tons of time on having to wait for a raise. Just make sure your first campaign battle is one controlled by your nation so you can get the item, then go wherever you want afterwards.

I'd just get an earring. Less of a hassle when you die.
But of course, this requires me to not have /WHM leveled. Which I do. So hah.

You can only get temp items from places owned by your "past country". I don't do Bastok areas because they suck (Gustaberg is rerribly easy and screw Grauberg), so the option to get the temporary item isn't there for me, and I'm just not up to changing nations.

I've done enough in this game that I understand the pain of gear swapping and targetting. However, fact is that most melee understand that they HAVE to gear swap as well as I understand that they have to. They understand if they gear swap and miss a cure that it wasn't intentional. I understand that on my nin and I live with it on my whm. Further to be said, I type fast. Fast enough to type in:
/target "name"

then hit enter, down, magic, enter on my last spell (the cure originally meant for the player) and enter again. Guess what? 3 seconds later then intended, but they get their cure. And I didn't even need macro's for it.

ok lets address a few of the points

First:

I do campaign as a 71 blm, so all of you who said i should lvl mnk can bite it. I heal in campaign to try and keep yall alive when the fact is that i can get cap easy by RR >> bizzaga 3 >> repeat. Since the fact that most of you (excludes Shaw) seem to not care about the heals, I'll stop. That goes for raises too.

Second:

Baj, you almost got the point, almost. I said campaign, only campaign, not dynamis, besieged, xp parties, or any other place where kill speed can affect everyone. Kill speed dun mean dick in campaign, period. so for someone to say they HAVE to gear swap is just plain wrong.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Frankly, I dun care how much xp yall get, I'll get mine either way. Since many of you insisted on insulting me, and discounting a real thought as whining, imma stop doin raises in campaign (PS thas the whiny part). So when yas see a lil mage nukin like wild, and refusing to raise you, hopefully its me. As far as the xp your losin while dead, console yourself with the fact that you did uber damage on yur last ws.

You're a Taru mage. Get over yourself.
I see the cliche guy stealing an old lady's purse. I gain nothing out of helping her, but I do it anyway. Why? Common fucking courtesy. If all you care about is yourself, then I see why you're still 71 and not 75.

Oh, and before you can pull the "Not doing equipment changes is also common courtesy", I only change to my WS equipment when I have over half health.

common courtesy eh?.. that include swearing at people? if it does then kudos. and FYI i have never let anyone die deliberatly... but if i see u under half life.. who knows...

Good day to you mr team player

one more thing.. my blm is still 71 cuz i lvld a brd.. if i cared bout 75 blm.. itd be there.
