I didn't say anything about amemet+1 buyers. Amemet NQ has no peer either. If they can't afford amemet+1, heck...normal amemet ain't gimp.

Think of Pigeon Earrings, HP+20 for 250k~ and Pigeon Earring+1, HP+25 for 3,000,000~ Like your saying its only 1STR, but to a DRK or whoever uses that Mantle, STR is what they need, and to the PLDs who pay 2,750,000 more for 5HP, they get it because they need HP.

And actually, once you get your preferred job to 71, whats it matter if you have a Foragers vs. an Amemet Mantle +1? ONOS YOU CAN'T USE IT IN BC7-- oh right, they don't exist.

Theres really no reason not to upgrade if you have the funds. Theres nothing around that caps your level under 71 as far as I know, so why not?


It's not a matter of paying for unnoticable stat increase(which I'll disagree, +1 STR is very noticable, just subtle,) but rather a "How can I upgrade my character even further?" method. Better to drop 2.6 mil on +1 STR from a Mantle than 4 Mil for +1 STR on a ring.

People aren't buying Forager's in place of an Amemet +1. They're buying them because they're better. You can live on an Amemet +1 from 61-75 just fine. But if you have the gil laying around, and want to upgrade even further, as a melee job, Forager's is one of the best bang-for-your-buck top of the line common pool upgrades.

Peregrine this is a fucking stupid thread. I work hard for my gil and I spend my gil. I have 3 mules filled with gear that I use all the time. I will probably buy this mantle for my ninja and sam and I will keep my amemet +1. Why? 1. Because I can. 2. Because its just fucking fake money in a fantasy world. 3. Because being the absolute fucking best is more fun than being a gimpass.

Go count your gils Ebeneezer.

Peregrine, if you're not buying items that are better than others, what is the point of even having gil? It's only a waste of money and it's only stupid when you don't have it. If you had 50mil, you know damn well you'd be using one.

It's overpriced. That you would buy the consolation amemet+1 is fine. That you would pay more for it is pretty hilarious.

And you're completely ignoring the game mechanics. More STR means you'd do more damage, it's been proven with all those equations and SE has confirmed it. +1 STR means a very small increase, true, but when you get +1 STR from several pieces of gear, that adds up to a noticable change. You're the one being unrealistic in thinking that it wouldn't help at all.

Why should I bother buying a scorpion harness, it's just a symbol of elitism? Nevermind the fact that the +10 acc would help me land hits and do more damage. Why get an Emp. Pin or Leaping Boots, when those won't effect my SATA in the slightest? The effect is going to be minor, no one has disagreed with that, but that doesn't mean that no one should want to get it to make their jobs better.

You've got your head up your ass for saying that everyone who wants the best mantle for melees is an idiot and is somehow harming the game.

Again with the hypocrisy. According to your logic it is wrong to spend an extra mill for 1 more str over +1amient, but it is 'fine' to spend ~1.5mill extra for 1 more str and 5 more atk/ratk which is just as equally signifigant (or insignifigant).
 
I really need to give workshops on the proper use of the word "hypocrisy." First, to be a hypocrite, you have to do something contrary to what you've advised. I never said I wasn't vain and foolish for buying an amemet+1. Did I?
 
"I'm vain and foolish, but you're more vain and foolish than I am" is a really, really poor soapbox to stand on.
 
But you keep talking about how an amemit +1 is the better option, which means you're advocating that people get that. Your reasoning behind getting the amemit +1 is where your hipocracy stems from, "Don't get this because it's too expensive, get this one that's a little cheaper instead of the cheap as hell model over there."

I'm curious, what back piece are you wearing?
