This is why teenagers don't run economies

Now answer.

First off your not quite reading straight, we dont buy the Amemet +1 for +1 str... That would be retarded. We buy it for the +5 attack and ranged attack, the +1 str is just an added bonus really, but not the reason for buying the item.

....for +1 str... and some def, that's the only improvement your paying 1 extra for, if it had an added +5 to attack, then maybe I could see it.

So there is no reason to stock up on str?
whoring +1 can easily give you +10 str.
But thats stupid right?

Fooking no edit button, "you're paying 1 mil extra for, ..."

This is hilarious and sad all at once. I'm done. Obviously, someone requires some medicating.

It's obvously pointless to argue with you guys. I've made my point and I'll be going now, gotta get ready for work. I think someone missed the point some time ago, I cought it on page one though I didn't feel I needed to respond then because I agreed anyway. Oh well. Whole point of the arguement in the first place is below. Apparently it got scewed by people changing the point.

no one said it is necessary, we said it is better.

Ah.. Better? Technically yes, it does have higher Def and +1 to Str added to the same stats Amemet +1.

The first page and the TITLE would lead me to believe the argument is if that paying 1 mil+ more for that tiny little difference is worth it. Answer: No, not at all.

modifiers on Spinning Slash is STR and INT.

rubyx2 8
amemit 2
minuet 1

total 11

flames 10
foragers 3
triumph 2

total 15

i think that 4 str will do nicely, not to mention the 4 int you get from flames. this is endgame now, everything is low def, all the att in the world isn't going to do anything without the str to back it up.

I will buy back an Amenmit+1. We can take a little trip, and test your theory. Get the parsers on and see how much this really adds up too.

Do it. Parse 150 fights, 50 with amemet+1, 50 with forager's mantle, and 50 with nothing on. Have a friend pick from 3 numbers from a hat to decide what trial you're on...have them put it on your character so you don't know which you're playing. Do not skillchain or change equipment. Just pure melee for 50 fights on the same mob sets. At the end of 50 fights, have the friend pick from another setup from the hat.

I will guarantee you that your +1 strength will up and disappear like a fart in the wind, and the parse data will show that. 50 fights is very small though. I'd rather you do 100 per trial on the same mobs, but we all know that'll never happen. Heck, 50 will never happen. We'll just have morons continue to spend 1.3 million gil on blind-faith that they really are being the best they think they are.

Lets do it. you can sit there was watch. because Im sure you wasted more time arguing here then it would take. Id be willing to wager something on it. :P

This is great. No one has the guts to agree with someone they don't like on this server. You all actually believe that 1 strength point would make skaw outdamage another monk "by far"? Fess up. What was the real difference between Skaw and this monk? I grow tired of your idiocy, because it was more than 1 strength. Come on. Think. Not even Bajaratt is stupid enough to claim that 1 strength will be anything but minimal, and yet skaw and this red mage are claiming that 1 strength allowed this monk to overcome 10% accuracy deficit.

Come on kids, tell the truth. Lying by omission will get you nowhere at this point. We all know you're lying.

It has nothing to do with liking or disliking you. You are just wrong.

So alanon thinks that 1 extra strength on a meleeing set > 10% acc. K, who else is a self-admitted idiot?

You mean besides you? We are comparing foragers to amemet +1, (big letters now) WHERE IN THE SAM FUCK ARE YOU PULLING THIS LOST 10% ACC FROM?????? UK college of medicine eh? What the fuck are you doing there? Are you a test subject for experimental medicine? Time to go get some more....

Sure, "Skill" is greater than gear. However not only are you gimp, but you are a fucking moron too.

Skill > Equipment, HOWEVER.

If you're skilled with a gun, as in an ace marskman.

You're useless without a Gun and Ammunition. o.O

Read the thread, dipshit. First, I'm not here so that you can tell yourself that you could have been a doctor some day as you sit behind some middle-management marketing desk. I don't like to make it a point that I'm probably more intelligent than you are, that my IQ is probably higher, that I earn more money and have more skills and knowledge than you ever will, and that not only am I smarter than you...but I've tapped more potential than you have because of education. You all simply force the issue with petty remarks. You want to get petty and mock my sig? I'll get high. I'm smarter than you, runt. You're a nobody. Lol where do you work...EB? What'd you get on the ACT? 22? I ran division one Track and Field in the SEC, where I earned 1st team academic all-american. All-american, 2-bit. Don't touch my sig, kid, because you're nothing compared to me when we log off. Don't make me remind you. This is beyond out of bounds, but you went here first. I personally love it when they go here.

Second, it's not like I haven't reminded the tagalongs who haven't read the thread before, but here goes again: Skaw claimed to out-melee-damage a monk. He claimed he out-melee'd this monk when the only difference between him and his partner was 1 strength point in his favor and 10% accuracy in the other monks favor. That is...skaw claimed that 1 strength point > 10% absolute accuracy when it comes to DoT (nonweaponskill damage over time). That is, he was trying miserably to argue that +1 strength was worth paying for.

And here's the thing, alanon...just like caerloc, you're too stupid to realize that you posted that you agreed with skaw...that 1 str>10% absolute acc. Re-read the thread. Nono...read the thread for the first time. You blatantly jumped on the sinking ship without even looking.

I'm a gimp who is at the university to be in studies? lol you're a nobody with average intelligence who really doesn't matter. Is that why you build your online character so high and act so elite online? To compensate for a failed life? Ohhh I just LOVE the direction the more petty people in the group take these conversations. When you take it to the real world, kid, I own you every time. I put my status in my sig because I'm proud of it. I also put it in there to flush out the morons who would mock that real-life title. You're one of them.

Set it up and give me the date. I want it blinded. I want mob difficulty control. I want 2000 fists per trial done my way (the right way) or no way. I'm the only one capable of statistically analyzing this data to any degree of usefulness, and I need data good enough to claim that a small difference is significant. That can't happen without strict control. If it's done right, I can tell you what 1 strength point does to a melee set.

And Alanon's point flew right over your head, as usual.

What does that 10% acc have to do with the Foragers Mantle? Now of Skaw had gotten the extra 10% acc in other gear and kept his foragers mantle, he would have totally OWNED the other monk. By having a Foragers Mantle, he did not lose 10% acc, like you seem to believe.

It's good to know that your education, your high IQ, and your ACT score, have all enabled you to post this well thought out thread about a video game, and then get owned in it. You'll make a great doctor one day.

10% accuracy was the thing skaw compared 1 strength to. He said that was the only difference. He's lying. If the ONLY difference between skaw and that other monk was nothing but 1 strength point, he would not have totally OWNED the other monk. It's seriously not up for debate. You couldn't tell a difference.

Pere, you are the one so rabid that +1 str is insigifigant. So why don't you take the initiative and go parse it yourself instead of demanding it from everyone else? You are the one trying to change the opinions of others, so why don't you get some evidence to support your claim? Instead of telling us what the parser 'would say' show us what the parser 'does say.' We are fine with the status quo belief that +1s are signifigant, so burden of proof falls on you to show otherwise.

Who cares if +1 str could or could not beat someone having 10% higher accu against a mob? That isn't a factor in this discussion because neither piece give different accu bonuses. The fact is though, +1 will change your dmg. Otherwise you could just say 1 point doesn't matter and remove it until you have no +str anymore. It's just like charities, giving a quarter isn't much on its own and losing a quarter won't hurt much individually, but they all add up. You can't pick a brick out of the wall and call it uneeded just because the wall still stands. The effect is there, perhaps to small to see with the naked eye, but that is the way of many things until you view it on the large.

lol what makes you think idiots would believe parse data from a thief? They already think their monks are special, so I say let them use their monks if they think it'll matter. I know how insignificant 1 strength is to my DoT. Let them find out on theirs where they claim it matters more.

Who cares if +1 str could or could not beat someone having 10% higher accu against a mob? That isn't a factor in this discussion because neither piece give different accu bonuses.
Oh yes it factors in. My opposition is flawed enough to say that 1 strength point was enough to outperform 10% increase in absolute accuracy. They claimed that +1 strength can compete with 10% accuracy--that Forager's mantle counters 10% absolute improvement in accuracy. They're simply morons if they believe that.

The fact is though, +1 will change your dmg.
BY HOW MUCH. I swear you all only think in absolutes. Signs of a teenager. Honestly, psych 100. Word of the day, kiddos, is: Insignificance.

It's just like charities, giving a quarter isn't much on its own and losing a quarter won't hurt much individually, but they all add up.
You don't combine with the +1 of 300 other monks. It's just +1 on you, and when it's +1 on you...it's worth no more than that dime.

You can't pick a brick out of the wall and call it uneeded just because the wall still stands.
I could take the brick out of your wall and you'd never know the difference.

The effect is there, perhaps to small to see with the naked eye, but that is the way of many things until you view it on the large.

Then admit it. You're wearing a vanity piece that confers no real improvement. If it's too small to see, why did you just pay 1.3 million gil for it? Tiya seems to think that +1 strenth "would PWN" the competition. Skaw seems to think that it would beat +10% acc. You, one of the few sensible people in the thread, say it's not visibly detectable. That's what the parser would show--no difference.

So why did you pay for no difference? Let me guess: to add it to all the other +1's. Therein lies my second challenge. Pick the thief. Any day, any time. We'll see how much their +1's translate into. You say +1's across the board will make a big difference, but you never back it up. A party of NQ-ers could go xp-for-xp with a group of HQ'ers.

Do you really think 5 strength is going to add much to a weaponskill? Please. You have no CLUE as to the extent of improvement. You're just wishfully thinking post-purchase. All you do is hope that the millions that you spent matter in the end.

It's vanity at its worst. There is "A" difference? Big deal, genius. Duh. When I jump up the earth is pushed away from me. But by how much? You people have no idea how much your investements AREN'T paying off. You just point at some nebulous gimp somewhere that you outdamage.

Again, 2nd challenge. Any thief, any time. My gimp ass will statistically eat away at your +1 whore until there is nothing left to brag about. My parties will get your xp. Your +1 strength will disappear under several degrees of insignificance.

Forager's mantle is a waste of human time.

Here's a nifty question for this whole thread:

Who hoenstly gives a shit what someone else's stats do on EQ they bought unless they're all gimpy and all in yer pt. How tweaked can your nipples possibly get over something you're not going to take part in?

OMG that person bought EQ they wanted .. what a fucking douche .. stfu already 30 pages over +1 str is retarded.

Honestly, psych 100. Word of the day, kiddos, is: Insignificance.

Kinda funny this line came from someone getting pissy about 1 str

My guess is someone would pay that much for gear they want b/c they can and don't need to check with you about it to feel validated, pere. It's not the mantle that's a waste of time, it's this thread/argument.

And yet you're here trying to get the last word. Forager's mantle buyers try to validate themselves in order to cover their invalidity. What a harsh harsh reaction from people who are soooo much better than I am.

More like they have something to prove and they can't do it in the game, because the piece isn't worth half what they paid for it. And that's not just a vague statement...lol because amemet+1 IS half of what they paid for it, and no parser could detect the difference between the two.
