For movies like this it's: Action >> Visual FX >> Story.

I'd go see this in the theater then get it on Blu-Ray easy.

Key point about ROTF:

More Transformer airtime, specifically the Decepticons.
 
The scenes that had the Transformers in the first one were good, some could have been better, but overall I can't complain.

The problem I had with the movie is that the Humans had way more plot. The scene where the military was moving through the desert was completely pointless, and the movie could have cut that whole part and would have been fine.

Other problem..Bay always has to have a slow motion explosion...BUT that's not the worst though, it's the slow motion actors standing still while a fucking camera slowly does profile shots while the actor is looking off in the distance....it's pathetic.

'nuff said.

The scene in the new trailer where Starscream is staring Sam Witwicky down looks kinda cool though, gives a level of "insignificance" to the human aspect of their war.
 
Needs more Constructacons.
 
Eh, it's got 9 Constructicons that combine into Devastator, that's enough for me.
 
Probably not, he remains Megatron as far as I've heard, but

his vehicle form does change from Cybertronian jet to Cybertronian tank, so it's plausible. Michael Bay and the writers have indicated that they want to at least *touch* on Unicron's part in the Cybertron Wars in perhaps the third movie
 
i've done some brief reading and from what i can gather "the fallen" are a third party in this film. when i first read the title i took to mean the decepticons were going to be the ass kickers in this film, since they lost, fell the the autobots, in the first one. also because of the theory is the popular notion that the real devestator is in this film. they think he's the one that smashes prime's face in the trailor.

1.) Correct - the Fallen are a third party.

2.) Still correct - the Decepticons will be ass-kickers in this film.

3.) That is not popular theory, it is fact - the Constructicons, and by association, the real Devastator, will be in this film.

4.) Devastator is in the trailer at the end, devastating what looks like an interstate highway (I'd have to take another look).



Off-topic: Anyone reading the Revenge of the Fallen Prequel comics from IDW? They are fuckin' sweet.
 
I'm looking forward to seeing the teaser trailer of Transformers 2 before Friday the 13th, just another reason to go see it for me. Firstly being Jared Padalecki rocks, and secondly so does Jason Voorhees.
 
Just got back from the 12AM showing.. Wow.. Epic.

Yeah there was a story in the movie and i think it may have been lame. I honestly dont remember it though due to the extreme amount of win and awesome throughout the film.

Agree!!! I just got back as well from our midnight showing Enjoyed the movie all the way to the end.

Bumblebee was rollin hard in the movie, plus the twins cracked me up! most the new auto bots Rocked, The old timer(FTW). they had two story lines going on at the same time and meet up really well in the move.

MB has done it again! I Enjoyed the Fact he focused more on the bots this time..

Fucking guy on the radio ruined the ending this morning. I don't think he realized what he was saying until after he said it, because when he was done his voice kind of trailed off. I wasn't expecting to be blow away by the story anyway, but it would have been nice to find the ending out myself tomorrow night. pfft, douche.
