Movie Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen - Spoilers Within

Was it just me, or did anyone else think the twins were a little too in your face negatively stereotypical?

I did, they took away from the movie for me. Jazz may have talked a certain way but at least he was serious when it was time do something.

No need to give the robots distinct features, when I saw the gold tooth I just shook my head, and when the one said I don't do too much reading, or whatever it was, I just said you've got to be kidding me.

All the cheesy, juvenile stuff was worthless, they had a model that worked in the first movie and changed it for no reason whatsoever. It wasn't even a kid friendly movie.

Know what? It doesn't need to be a kid friendly movie. Anyone who grew up with the Transformers is in their late twenties or older. So, you found the twins to be stereotypes of retarded Hispanic or something like that. I don't care, I got a laugh out of them. They were kind of silly but they had personality to them, unlike most of the other autobots that were shown. The rest of the autobots seemed.. well, robotic, and definitely lacking in personality. The twins were there for comic relief, if you got offended, then you seriously need to grow some thicker skin.

It's going to attract kids and plus adults who grew up with the Transformers are of coarse going to bring their kids along without thinking anything about it until they hear the language.

Just pointing that out.

I said I shook my head, and said you have got to be kidding me, it serves no purpose to get worked up over stupid stuff like that. Someone asked a question and I answered it.

As far as kids; the cussing, dogs humping, robot humping Megan Fox's leg added absolutely nothing to the movie, but I guarantee some parents thought twice about taking their kids once they heard about it, same probably with the twins, which was my point. They had a formula that worked and messed with it for no reason.

Well with the way the movie did in the box office, I'd say the formula still worked ;| Sure it didn't add anything besides a few cheap laughs, but meh I don't really think it was a big deal one way or the other.

As mentioned I think the movie could have done without some of the potty humor, or at least some of it. Some of the scenes just felt more like outtakes that should have been on the joke reel for the DVD. Only people that were laughing at the things mentioned above were people 16 year olds and younger. who, btw were not even around when the original transformers was out. if anything they may have caught the tail end of beastwars at 5 or 8.

It seemed more like "what can michael bay get away with?" and didn't have the same charm as the first movie. i had no doubt it was still going to do very well at the box office. Only way my friends could sum up the movie was " less talk about balls. more transfomers prz"

I'll admit i'll probably still get it on DVD and ignore the stupid parts, and see a third movie if i happens, but yeah some of it was just a little overkill for my taste. Everything else was done really well though.

I ended up seeing this, and man it was god awful.

It was an entertaining piece of shit, which was pretty much what I was expecting.

By the way, I'm getting really sick of this movie cliche, where the main character says something along the line of "I just know this plan will work, for no reason!"

And it always works. That pisses me off. I want a character to try something that they "just know will work" and get horribly dead as a result. Not going to keep complaining tho. I mean it's a movie based on action figures from the 80s.
