tl;dr version: Urat, self-proclaimed King of Fishing with his Ebisu Rod and his Fishing Guides on FFXI Wiki, is a total fishbotting cheater!
I'm a late-night fisher usually, so I was just settling down to head out myself when I heard from a friend that Urat was openly botting in Davoi. I went out to check it out, and there he was, fishing up Takitaros and "regretfully releasing."
My friend (who has Timestamp) said he'd been releasing them since 2:29 a.m. EST. It's over an hour later, and he's still doing it as I type this. He hasn't responded to any tells that either of us have sent him.
Other blatant fishbotting behavior: Takitaro are skill 100 legendaries, and he fishes them up in five to ten seconds--any high-level fisherman can tell you, even with skill 100 you don't fish up any legendary that fast. We've counted over 20 takitaro lost so far.
Given the vast preponderance of the evidence, I hope you enjoy that banned Ebisu rod Urat!
