Waste of a party slot

Just for any of you in the lower 40's. Be sure not to invite Blackwizzrd. The guy is a general idiot, and he never stops bitching.

I had a party in the citadel, about lvl 35-38ish, had this little fellow in my party. Decides to leave our party as soon as he levels, no notice. I didn't really care, he wasn't doing much for the pt, but it does get on my nerves when people randomly take off.

Then today I get another invite, for crawler's nest this time. About 30 minutes later Blackwizzrd (awesome name I know) got invited to the same party. Wasn't going to leave over it, but I wasn't thrilled. We already have a whm, so I really don't know why he was invited in the first place, considering their blood pacts to about 90 damage at this lvl.

So during the pt, the whm (Runming) continually disconnected, and we waited each time, wasn't a huge deal. Then she's d/c's and doesn't come back for a good 15 min, so we replace her. Decided the smn would heal instead, making him more useful, and get a sam to rep the whm. Well he continually bitches throughout the party about how exp is low (he was the lowest lvl in pt, 36-39), and how he doesn't like to heal. And the funniest part of it was, he really wasn't healing much at all, just wasting space. I was dual boxing a drg/whm, with a whopping 150 mp, healing more than he was...

We were down to four people, sam, sam, mnk(me), smn, and my PL. Still going fine. Then he decides to leave, after the party decided to disband in 30 min. Turns out he ditched us for a pt a camp away from us.

When he left, the pt was almost the exact same, really shows how much he was contributing. But thats not the point, the point is...that this guy is just a complete waste of a party slot. No, thats not right either, he makes the party worse than it was, by his enjoyable complaints.

Maybe its just me, but I know I'll never invite the idiot again.

I had a party with this guy also last night.

I was invited as RDM34/BLM17 by another RDM in the party as a replacement. He sent me a tell saying to "/tell Blackwizzrd" and as soon as I did, I was invited.

First sign: BW was /anon.
En route to the party I ask "so what am I doing, enfeebling/nuking or healing? Please say nuking, because I completely blow at healing, and the dude I'm replacing didn't indicate before asking me to replace him..."
Reply: "Main heal LOL"
Me: "Goddamnit, ok, well I'll live."

I get to the party and on the first fight, I notice that BW has over 550 MP compared to my meager 430. Yeah, not a vast amount, but I figure "what the hell" and go to healing. I see the fucker cast Titan.

He doesn't begin helping me out with Cure duty until the entire party starts badgering him to help me. I'm keeping my way around with Regens and Cure IIs, not pulling hate. He pulls hate and I end up having to Cure Bomb him to pull it back off >.>

He then has the audacity to tell me to "level ur WHM" (there's that word ur again) because "parties wont invite you if you sub BLM".

My response: "Parties wont invite a Summoner who doesn't at least assist with healing duties."

I agree with Ice fully. The rest of the party was cool as shit. This guy was a useless lump of pixels, and I would never have run out of MP had I just had a different mage there.

thanks for the warning. Now i am wondering what is up with all these people half assing thier jobs. Had a cor in a party I was pling out of pity <friend of one of them gave 5k a lv later. Still i could have farmed that 30k faster> go afk for most of a lv before the leader finally kicked him. Then the cor says if he was leeching exp the party was leeching his buffs. dude did not even have a gun. The guy barely buffed them took me about 2 hours to realize they even had a cor. Please if you run across players like these guys just kick them. Lets not allow them to get to 75 off others hard work.

I think I was actually in the party Tristam was talking about. I was on Bilun and got asked to come to the party as a BLM. The guy didn't seem that bad and our party did fairly well. When I was there it was

I never saw what the rdm was casting and didn't really need to. I think he was japanese because he didn't say much. Although the RDM was main healing BW was tossing cures when he had to. I had to toss a few as well as the BLM but I figured it was normal.

Notes: BW went afk often and did not know how to use his BPs without messing up the SCs. However, I wouldn't go as so far as to say that the guy sucked... Perhaps he just shouldn't have leveled for so long in one setting. I went two levels with him wich means he was probably there for at least 3-4.

Summoners need sharp, skilled people to draw more attention and prestige to the job. This clown sounds like he needs to have SMN unflagged on his character by force.

I died laughing at this. The idea that a typical party would reject a red mage because of a black mage sub, ESPECIALLY in the midlevel range, is utterly ludicrous. Can you imagine it, with our communal addiction to Refresh?

Yes, that was the party. They replaced you with a second Samurai, leaving only that RDM (Crime was his name), and Blackwizzrd as the mages. Sure, that should be sufficient, but only if the curing duties are shared.

As a matter of fact, BW was d/c when I got invited to the party by Crime. At first he came off as a pissed-off and slightly arrogant JP, but in light of all this crap about BW, I'd have been pissed also. After BW came back and was passed leader, he went /anon before I could see what he was.

haha. i was in this PT. Steelfist my War/Mnk. Trist did have to cast his ass off doing enfeebs and heals.

the PT wasn't bad, i guess the rest of the members helped carry his weight. Blackwizzrd didn't seem to do much healing untill later in the PT when enough people suggested he share healing dutties with rdm so he can enfeeb more.

Black did average around 400 damage a fight with bloodpacts, occasionally interupting skillchains.

none of it was a big deal, i guess i was just happy to find a PT as a warrior with monk sub, exp was decent. im pretty laid back and tend to not let shit bother me so i could be looking at the experience through the eyes of a stoner. the group cleared most of the exp mobs in our level range in garlaige and we were only PT there, pulls became very long since we killed so much. all the melee rocked hard too and Bilun had an ungoldly amount of MP for a Galka blm.

Yeah, I hated to bitch about him not helping cure, but I appreciated you guys finally pressuring him to help me, especially after I was at 30MP and he was sitting on well over 250+MP.

i wouldn't know about warrior/mnk at higher levels but at low levels its silly for groups to require ninja sub i think. i mean warriors do get defender and monk gets dodge so whenever i pulled aggro i'd just cancel zerk, pop defender and dodge and take very little damage all the while getting a few very sexy counter attacks in

though now that my warrior is Lv37 i'm going to bring Ninja to 37 aswell.... then samurai and then dark knight. haven't decided what i want to take to 75 first though =/ . though im thinking War/Sam,nin or Drk/war,sam,nin

I suppose you are right there. I guess I'm too easy going and accept behavior like this from low level people who may or may not be on their first jobs. I don't start complaining until the 50s+ ranges. If by that time someone really cannot figure out what is going on, regardless if it is a 12 year old or 18+, I will get a little more upset. I'm just happy while I was there I had a fun time of it.

He was summoner, meaning he'd at least gotten *one* job to lv30 previously. Nothing changes that drastically between 30-35, so he should have the same, if not a higher level of competency in doing his job.

Granted, if he was a shitty white mage to begin with, that leaves a lot of open room for suckage.
