Weaponskill Changes - Post what you notice

I'm only guessing and like alot of people said, 2h needed the attack boost but not the accuracy boost. What about a naked 2h checking an IT mob and having it con low evasion make sense? I tried out my GA on WAR last night with next to no accuracy gear. Even w/o using aggresor or sushi I can safely say I hit the accurcay cap on IT mobs. The update didn't say anything about fixing accuracy directly but being able to load up on STR/attack and throwing away all accuracy equipment while still hitting +90% does affect damage potential.

Thats all fine. I was just saying the POL message said the damage wasn't right. Didn't say anything about accuracy.

If they do keep the acc, PCC is no longer the best neck piece.

All it means is more testing (again) after they fix it to where it "should" be. I highly doubt it will render any disappointing results, but stop the 2k crits from SAM. They made SAM the old RNG in this update, and that's what I think they're striving to stop.

They're nerfing the update already? lol...

To be honest, I felt the whole 1str = 1attk, 1dex = 1acc was broken from the beginnning and not meant to be. A change like that is not minor. Won't be surprised if this is what is corrected. Remove that from the equation and things are pretty much as advertised. A "minor" increase, although still leaves unanswered questions as to what has changed with certain weapon skills.

I didnt bother reading though all the 20 pages but it would make more since to make 1 handed weapond 1 dex= 1acc 2str = 1atk and vice versa for 2 handed. I think the boost to 2 handed is alittle too strong on the acc side also. I mean wouldnt it take more dex to effectivly wield a 2 handed weapon then a 1 handed weapon.

You contradict yourself, but I get your point :p

And SE doesn't think logical. Its a game. Hell, how many dwarves do you see frying giant caterpillars with magic?

Yep, this is was too good to be true and you have to consider SE's logic to maintaining a loyal player base. Which is: "The more we dissapoint them, the more time they will stay with us".

You mean we're the trashy hoebag wives who continually go back to our wife-beater-wearing babydaddies?

Stop trying to use logic. This is the same game system that makes STR affect gun damage. Like pulling the trigger hardeer make bullets go faster...

No. You're wrong. It makes perfect sense.

If you thrust the gun right as you pull the trigger, the bullets will go faster, resulting in more force. Don't you know anything about physics? :P

That's what happens when you don't merit intelligence as a rng...?

However you do have to hold a gun up for certain amount of time to fire which would use some str and bow would be even use more str to pull the string back so it not as as far fetch as you think.

Last I checked smacking something over the head with a pole took less dexterity than twirling around that fancy toothpick knife. But That's just me. And as we all know, 'The real world' Never applies to these kinda games.

As for the 1H should have 1 STR= 1 Atk 1 DEX= 1 Acc argument, the fact is that while Using the SAME formula, the Dual wielders still won out over time. how giving the 2 handers LESS atk and acc than them when they lost on a supposed 'equal footing' is beyond me.

Is this update too powerful? It probably it is. But Hell, it just might be something just a little closer to 'balance'.

As long as that 'balance' involves Chopping/Slicing/Hacking stuff in half in a single blow.

If you want to apply RL logic to it, i find it easier to hit a target when i use 2 hands instead of 1, but thats me. So the 1/1 dex/acc ration makes sence to me.

And for people wondering about the attack:
you could say that using 2 hands on one weapon would apply more power (attack) to your swing, thus giving you the whole +1 attack from each str, not the .5 attack from each str(like using 1 hand for a weapon).

great weapons are heavy and bulky and hard to swing. Take a fireman's axe vs a hatchet. Axe will chop tree down faster but is not to accurate in hitting it mark, while the hatchet will not cut as fast you can pretty much hit your mark every time.

Yet, you said it. The axe will chop the tree down faster aka do overall more damage.

So while the accuracy thing might be off, 2 handed weapons should be doing more overall dot.
