What anime are you watching/reading?

Just finished up D-Gray Man, been watching that for awhile now. Awesome show, but I wish it would have wrapped things up a little more. The show ends and at the same time they are introducing new shit. Its caught up to the manga as far as I know so maybe it will continue again, kind of like how FMA is, but still I like when I finish a show for it to be wrapped up a little more. Definitely a good show though, worth the watch. The characters got a little emo at times but not to bad. Good action and some decent comedy thrown in there too. Now I need to figure out what to watch next. Thats the nice thing about long ass animes is that you can just go with the flow and watch as many or as little episodes as you want a night and don't have to think about picking something new, at least until it ends.

The manga's Author right now had to leave D.Gray Man on hiatus due to severe illness, this has happened a few times during serialization of the series so when she gets better the manga will continue.
 
Currently watching Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

Only on the first ep currently... like all Gundam series, the first episode is confusing to high hell, but it looks cool lol.

Looking forward to catching up to the current.

It's a huge surprise!

Edit: Now watching Busou Renkin. God this anime is cool, I love the manga and the anime doesn't disappoint.

I can't compare it to the manga seeing as I never read it, even though I could have lol But anyway, the anime is good, I liked it.

The manga is definitely worth buying, it's just 10 volumes too.

I read all my manga from onemanga.com

If I were to buy every manga I've read up till now I'd be broke lol. Most of what I read isn't even licensed in the US yet anyway. Same goes for the anime I watch XD
 
Buso Renkin was a pretty awesome anime.

Just started watching Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy. I'm so happy they seemed to have kept the same voice actors as the original series. I was worried with Funimation doing it this time around they would use their more common VA's to do the roles. Not that that would have been bad, it just would have taken a little away since I enjoyed the voices in the original. I've only watched a few episodes so far and it's definitely enjoyable and funny.
 
Buso Renkin was was pretty cool. Only downside is Papillion....

I'm liking season 2 of Shakugan No Shana. Only wish it was dubb'd in English cause I really liked it when Shana said "Shut up, shut up, shut up"

Loved both seasons of AMG. And yea, it's always good when they keep the same VA's because otherwise it would be like getting to understand a whole new character and it seems awkward. I'm still a bit undecided on Peorth's inclusion in season 2 as I hated her at first and just found her annoying. But then I kinda got used to her^^. I would have preferred it if they had more focus on Lind who appeared at the tail end of season 1.

I myself have just recently finished Azumanga Daioh (very funny comedy series) and I very much recommend it. Currently half way through watching Maburaho which is equally enjoyable.

Really? I kinda like him as a villain I must admit, he's hilarious! The most flamboyant villain ever XD

Edit: ... Episode 17... Papillion's outfit... just WHAT?!

I must admit as gay as his outfits and personality were, he was a pretty awesome character. XD Very.... unique.
 
After listening in on some commentaries from Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy, I've learned that.. amazingly.. the voice actors are actually not the same people from the first season. o.o

Which I couldn't tell at all. Until I just did a little bit of digging. It's kind of funny too, the VA who voiced Belldandy in season 1 does the voice of Peorth in season 2 lol her.. rival friend of sorts. Seriously I am impressed, because the voices of Skuld and Urd as well as Belldandy and Keichi all seem exactly the same as I remember them from season 1 but they're completely different people. o.o There were also different voice actors for the movie as well.

Is this the English VA's or the Japanese? If it's the English then I could have sworn they were the same. The movie certainly has different VA's, no doubt about that.

Just finished Maburaho last night. I thought it was a good anime until like the last 15 mins of the last episode where the ending just totally nosedived imo. I thought they could have rounded it off much better personally.

Now got a choice of Divergence Eve or School Rumble Season 2 (both parts) to watch next as far as unwatched DVD's goes.

Yes I was referring to the English VA's, and yeah I could have sworn they were the same too, but then maybe the imdb I looked at was wrong. But according to one of the commentary tracks between two voice actresses that voice Belldandy, Elieen Stevens who last voiced Bell in season 2, and Juliet Cesario who voiced Bell in season 1 and voices Peorth in season 2 they go on for a bit on how they decided to prepare themselves for the roll of Belldandy. Just listening to both versions of Bell you'd think it was the same person. I know I did until I heard this particular commentary.

According to IMDB there were also different voices for several other characters:

Kiechi - Scott Simpson (season 1) and Drew Aaron (season 2)
Skuld - Pamela Weidner(season 1) and Kether Donohue (season 2)
Urd - Lanelle Markgraf (season 1) and Vibe Jones (season 2)

It's really crazy that they are different people. The voices are so similarly done it's scary and impressive.

And just to add, I believe the Japanese VA's have stayed the same for all versions, I wouldn't be surprised.
