Just did some digging around cause I wasn't convinced lol

I remember the commentary that Belldandy and Peorth's VA's did over one of the episode's and their conversation about applying for the role of Belldandy but I could have sworn they both just applied for it and Eileen Steven's got the role for both seasons. According to Wikipedia it says Belldandy had 3 VA's for her Character. Juliet Cesario (Peorth's VA) who voiced Belldandy for the OVA series (Oh! My Goddess) and then Peorth in Season 2 of the anime. Bridget Hoffman voiced Bell in the Movie and the Adventures of Mini Goddess (side series). And Eileen Steven's voiced her in "both" the animated series. Apparently..

With Skuld and Urd, the VA's you mentioned for season 1 were for the OVA series and not the more recent anime adaptation. When I watched the Mini-Goddess series I was surprised to see Wendee Lee voiced Urd there apparently (OMG, the voice of Haruhi and Konata^^).

I guess it's easy to mistake the OVA 5-part series as the first season because technically it was the first season (released in 1993).

Hey, I was just going off what IMDB has listed. ^^ But yeah, If it's not all true, then at least we do know Belldandy was voiced by three different people.

I'm going to watch Soul Hunter. I know nothing about it but I hear it's good.

Surprisingly Howl's Moving Castle was on BBC2 this morning, I was amazed. (First time seeing Howl's Moving Castle).

Now watching Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea ^^

I watched the premier at Otakon with Raesvelg, Reya, and crew :p
 
Started reading Bakuman by the creators of Death Note Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, so far, I'm enjoying it. Up to chapter 6. I really like these 2. Funny thing, when I imported an issue of WSJ from Japan, I got the issue where it had Bakuman at the front with colour pages. It was so awesome ^^

By the way, My verdict on Ponyo, it's SO ADORABLE!!!!!!!! I absolutely LOVE IT =D =D =D =3

The above thread is a great resource if you are wondering what anime would be interesting to check out. I have a lot in my collection (3rd post on the linked page) and for the most part all of them are great to watch, save a small handful that weren't so great.

Other people have interesting collections as well.
 
Rewatching some Footprints in the sand. I don't know why but I love this anime.
 
I finished up Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy and.. well.. while every episode was good. I just felt that as a whole the series lacked any kind of actual story or plot. It was like a collection of filler episodes. First you have the rich bitch (Sayoko?) as a bad guy for the first few episodes. Then Peorth, then Marller and finally Hilde. Hilde is a hawt villan, and you can't get much more powerful than the ruler of demonkind.

It just really irked me that there wasn't any actual ongoing plot other than, 'oh here's Keiichi and Belldandy and they're in love' blah blah every episode, which is fine if it also involved a larger plot along with it. I will admit it was amusing to see Belldandy get jealous.

I'm actually disappointed with the series a little. I hope the third season picks back up with more actual story. All the second season really did was just introduce a few extra characters.

I agree that the second season was lacking too. The first season set the standard and the second just carried on with it but didn't really develop anything.

I thought Hilde was a good character but overall was too soft to play the bad guy role. Even Marller showed some potential in season 1 but in the end she was just comedy material used for the butt of the jokes. I just wished they had some more Lind "Battle Valkyrie" Action^^

I assume you have seen the 2 OVA episodes (episodes 23-24 of season 2)?

I gotta say I really liked the 2nd one where Skuld became an adult. It's a shame they couldn't have made it a longer scenario cause I thought she was pretty cute XD
 
LOL yeah, I saw the last two episodes of season 1 they were fun. And yeah I think there will be a third season.. um.. I'll edit this post later when I feel like finding and linking any info that substantiates this.
 
I am now watching Speed Grapher. I've watched about 1/3 of the series so far and ...I love it. It's freaking awesome, I have no idea why I put off buying it. I guess the whole camera thing thew me off on the previews, but it's way cool. Definitely an adult anime, nudity, suggestive themes.. and freaking boners in pants. wtf. Yeah, it threw me off too. But I am definately loving it so far.

I just started Soul Eater and I think I'm going to have a blast with this. Just watched episode 1 and I love the darkness theme to it.

I only wish I didn't have to go to bed now.
 
Just finished Freedom.

Even though it's only a 7 episode OVA this series has left a real good impression on me.
In my opinion one of the series you only see once every so often.

I picked that one up a while ago, but haven't watched it yet - but it seems I'll have to if it's as good as you say.

Finally did get around to watching flcl, still 2 to go, quite amusing altough abit... hard to follow at times :p
