Finishing up Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor.

It's been pretty interesting and I've always liked the Guyver ever since I watched the sci-fi movie with Mark Hamill. I dare not watch it again these days just in case it ruins my childhood memories of it, however watching the new anime hasn't been disappointing yet.

I've listened to some of the commentaries and this series is suppose to follow the manga story more closely than the original Guyver anime (which is so old, I remember watching some of it over 12 years ago at a friends house).

I have a feeling though, that the series is going to end on an uncompleted note, leaving more to be desired. Since I'm on the second to last episode and the series doesn't really feel like it's really reached a conclusion. Perhaps there will be a second season to cover the rest of the manga, I dunno, but that would be nice.

Also started catching up on Katekyo Hitman Reborn! I'm now on the vs Millefiore arc.

Also, on a side note, a friend of mine shown a 5 year old a few episodes a Cowboy Bebop ;) Epic win.

I've finished reading Buso Renkin. The ending was great ^^

I'm now just finishing up of what I have of D.Gray Man, and I'm waiting for more volumes of Gintama and Katekyo Hitman Reborn to arrive as well as Berserk.

Just finished School Rumble season 2 yesterday. Man that series is hilarious, probably one of the best comedy/romance anime's I have seen.

Got a choice of DN Angel, Kaleidostar, Divergence Eve- Misaki Chronicles, Suzuka, Lucky Star volume 5 or Negima season 2 part 1 to watch next since they all arrived in the mail this week. So many choices that I can't really decide lol

Haven't posted in awhile. Since my last post I watched and finished Claymore which was complete badassary. The ending was kinda eh,
Spoiler:
I wanted her to kill Priscilla. Also I liked how raki was pretty bad ass the whole show and then he just kinda pussed out in the last couple episodes which I didn't really like either
. Other than that though the rest of the series was fantastic. Also got me into the manga and is actually the first manga i've read. I started from chapter 52 i think, or right around when Rigardo shows up and where the anime ends. And now I'm caught up and just read Chapter 87 which came out yesterday i think. I like the longer chapters but monthly release kinda sucks and this new one was pretty short, only 22 pages. I kinda hope they make a second season, although at the same time I kinda doubt it since the anime ends in such a way that a new season wouldn't match up with the manga. Never know though.

Also I watched and finished Gankutsuou: Count of Monte Cristo which was also amazingly good. The art style alone makes it worth the watch, unlike anything else I've seen and looks really cool. Not to mention the story was obviously very good. The only problem again, and you should probably see a pattern here with me, was that the ending coulda been a little better. It actually was a good ending, it just could have done one thing better to have made it an excellent ending to the show
Spoiler:
I mean, episode 23 was great and a good wrap to the series, and I actually like the epilogue episode. I just wish Albert would have met up with Eugenie and that they would have shown the party with everyone reuniting. I mean they bring it all together nicely and its obviously implied he meets up with Eugenie at the church but I just would have liked to have seen it.
Definitely a worth while watch as well.

Lastly I also started Ouran High School Host Club, and it is fucking hilarious. One of the funniest i've watched in awhile. Then again I haven't watched a comedy in awhile but regardless, its good shit. But I don't think I can put it as good as the BADASS MANLY ANIME REVIEWER so if you don't take my word on this show being good, take his (Spoilered for size):

Spoiler:

I especially like his description of Honey lol.

Watched the new Hokuto no Ken movie at uni, holy crap it was so cool. Everyone there cheered when Ai o Torimodose started playing. Also watched the first episode of Macross Frontier too. Such a good anime night.

Right now I'm focusing on completed animes besides Soul Eater. I'm going to go for Claymore, then FMA, then Code Geass since they're all so highly regarded. I have catching up to do.

I just started reading and watching Yakitate! Japan; it's hilarious. Never thought an anime about bread-making would be this awesome. The reactions they make when eatting the bread is half the reason to watch it.

I'm watching the uncut dub of One Piece, Episode 182, Finally they Clash, Pirate Luffy vs God Eneru. Yes, it's still being aired and it's uncut... in Australia I believe.

start watching tower of druage , Toaru Majutsu no Index and Jigoku Shoujo

Just finished Freedom.

Even though it's only a 7 episode OVA this series has left a real good impression on me.
In my opinion one of the series you only see once every so often.

Finally got around to watching it, I was really positively suprised, well worth it.

As for recent series I'm following/impressed by are Casshern Sins, Bounen no Xamdou, Michiko to Hatchin and Tytania.

I agree, Claymore was one of those series where I was looking forward to each new episode, but the ending was one of the worst I've seen.
Gankutsuou was a lot better in that regard, altough it helped that I did not read the book beforehand. It took me some time to get used to the art style, but in the end it was amazing.

I just watched about 1/2 of Black Lagoon, since yet again I've been fooled into buying the "complete series" of an anime that wasn't the complete series. -_- Though when I look it up everything said Black Lagoon's first season was only 12 episodes long. Yet I get to the 12th episode and after it ends there's a preview of the next episode. D: God dammit, why the hell do they market this crap as "Complete Series" when it's not. That is false advertisement and it pisses me the hell off.

On the upside, I absolutely love this series.. at least what I've seen of it so far. Revy is one mean, hot bitch. The rest of the characters, Dutch, Benny and Rock all have fitting personalities. And to be honest I'd love to see Rock crack Revy open and take advantage of her, so to speak.

I also stumbled across an anime called Ikki Tousen (aka. Dragon Destiny?). It's a fighting anime with more fan service than I've seen in any anime ever. There are even a few sexual scenes that borderline on softcore hentia, and even an episode or two where full on cleavage is shown in all of its animated glory. It's definitely a very funny anime though, but there's tons of seriousness and a little drama thrown in too. The english voice acting for the dub isn't the best in the world, but it's bearable and from what I can tell they seem to have stuck to the original writing fairly well, so that's nice. What I also find interesting is how it uses Chinese history as an underlying theme behind the whole thing. All of the characters share the same name as some Chinese historical figures from around the same era of the 3 kingdoms. It's very addicting to watch, even if the fan service goes way overboard to the point it's ridiculous at times. But hey, I'm a guy, so that's not really a complaint. I just find it humorous.

Actually its loosely loosely based on Chinese history and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Heh well, still, I found that to be interesting. All things considered.

Anyone have any idea how much it is to self publish your own manga? In the thousands I'm guessing. I'm sure advertising in a magazine is a bitch too. Quarter page is probably arond $1000 I'm guessing.

You could ask the guy who made Miki Falls. The guys name is Mark Crilley. He has his own youtube page so you can PM him and ask.

Also he does tutorials on how to draw manga.

Just started watching Glass Fleet. So far I am enjoying it. It's weird, like ...hmm.. french revolution meets outer space sci-fi anime. They have space ships yet they fight with swords and cannons. I've not seen a gun of any kind yet.

I was also bothered by..
Spoiler:
..the fact that they were using a female to do the voice of the main character and while it did look like a female to me, everyone was calling referring to him as "him" "he" "sir". Even the name was feminine; Michelle. Of course by episode 6 or 7 you find out that it really is a woman and oddly enough Michelle was the name of her brother. >_>;

The first season has 12 episodes and the second season has 12 episodes. They got the go ahead on the second season very shortly after the first started so it wasn't one of those series which went on hiatus for a while THEN announced season two.

I definitely wouldn't suggest buyin' this series though. It's a really fun, good show but once it is over, it is over. Then again, I only buy series I'd like to show my Nephew when he's of age to enjoy these types of things.
