There are no solo jobs, so sayeth SE in their reaction to BSTs after the MPK update.
 
Well SE can just bite my butt, cause there are many things they do which I already don't agree with, the main thing being the way they bill their user's subscriptions.... You pay for only the remainder of the current month your in but at the full price instead of it being a rolling 30 day subscription like other MMORPGS.

My sister decided to return to the game after a year, accidentally reinstated on Feb 28th, she was scheduled to have surgery on Mar 1st. She paid full price for the 1 hour she was in game that day. After calling POL, they refused to perform any one-time courtesy for her, but told her when it was asking for her credit card info again it only was trying to resetup recurring billing. She submitted the info in POL & now has been charged twice & lied to by the CSR who has refused to fix his own mistake of giving false info. I was actually on the phone w/the CSR for the majority of the call so I can fully verify this.

I accept PLD for what it is, accept NIN for what it is, but I however do not accept the attitude some people take when it comes to choosing to invite a PLD.

Oh, I'm sorry, you were talking about things you'd like to see for PLD and other solo jobs and things that have nothing to do with what tank you want for XP...Seriously, when you post stuff that is largely off the wall or off-topic, why are you surprised when people respond? Then you want to claw some eyes out, but we're all the ones that start shit, right?

It's your can of worms. You opened it. Until it's closed (locked thread - which I am all for since this really doesn't go anywhere), you are the last person to dictate that it IS closed.
 
Well hows about this then... DISCUSSION WITH ME IS CLOSED ON THIS TOPIC! You can't say it's not if there is no response can you? I'm hoping Sculli does decide to lock this thread & maybe even restrict future threads of any pld vs nin nature as they seem to be so damn controvercial.

You just don't know when to fuckin quit do you? It's obvious this thread will never return to it's normal discussion, not worth keeping open.

This one got out of hand cause you make contradictory statements, then start changing the topic when you got called on them.

If you make contradictory statements, you will get called on it, regardless of where you post. And if you want threads to go away, stop spamming them with nonsense.

Wtf? Do you have any idea at all of what you are talking about? I guess I didnt tank gods and never take one hit, ever, since nin is "unrealistic for end game." NIN with arhats+1 gear, earth staff, def. food, defender, etc can take hits nearly as well as any pld.

Its all about the player, and having the right gear and knowing when to use that gear. Thinking outside the box also creates great end game tanks, especially with sub job.

Both jobs can tank, WAR can tank, and the job can be done a large variety of ways, in a large variety of situations. Stop quoting what you read on allakhazam or KI.com.
 
Best thing PLD have going for them in the end game is being able to sub NIN. NIN get to sub DRK. I think PLD makes out the best in that respect.

Gods aren't anything compared to the real HNMs. Sorry to burst that bubble.

We're talking about things that requires alliances to beat, with people in reserve, not 1 Party NMs that make King Arthro look threatening. Things that have abilities that just L-O-L at Utsusemi.

I'm also speaking in generalities. We can go to extremes and say that, but this is all about generalities.

On that note: Yes, creative tanks work well. Look at brd/nin tanking faf/nidhogg. But how many times will you use a brd/nin outside of that? For MOST endgame activities MOST of the time, you'll be using a pld.
